RANGERS

I walked through London. It was late but everyone seemed more awake than i had ever seen them, of course they were, it was Christmas. Lights of all different colours lit up the night and signs flashed in bright neon blues, greens, reds and yellows. . could hear horns blared everywhere i turned, as Businessmen and women started their Journey home to their Families, something i lost. Stars twinked overhead, the sky looked beautiful as if even it was excited for Christmas. I walked on munching on some chocolate i had stolen from a distracted shop owner. The city's skyscrapers towered above me and reached up farther than the eye could see. In the distance, proud and tall stood Big Ben, the legendary clock.

Snow lay over every surface as i made my way to the abandoned house i always stayed, i was surprised that no one had ever found it, but that must be Chaos's doing. Snow covered everything, not a foot print anywhere, discarded newspapers tumbled across the pavement, towards the unseen mansion, The grim and gloomy mansion was the worst excuse for a house you'd ever see, it was more like a long-abandoned prison or insane asylum rather than a once glamorous house. The doors and windows were covered with a thick layer dust that looked like it has been untouched for years. The windows of the "house" looked back at you like the eyes of an empty soul, along with the grand door at the entryway to the "house" that seemed to give her the impression it was a gateway to hell

The mansion stood isolated from civilization but seemed to be inhabited by somebody. Me of course. Standing in front of the secretive rusted black iron gates, I could feel the cold wind blowing past my pushing the gates open ,i walked up the long and cracked windy the gate a pathway once gravelled, but now almost overgrown with path lead to the black door I opened it and stepped inside, only to be attacked by a cloud of dust and the strong stench of mold. It was the kitchen was massive, but it was cluttered . The cupboards were a vibrant purple with swords and all type of weapons drawn upon them. The counters were a dark purple, black and white marble decorated the floor, whilst yellow and blue tiles danced on the walls. All in all the kitchen was fantastic.

I walked into the living room to be welcomed by RAI.''Welcome Miss Gail, what can i do for you today?''.''Nothing much, but prepare the rooms, we are going to have visitors soon.

CLARE POV

The gauntlets each snapped onto our arms and flashed bright purple. Before we all passed out.

We were sitting around a campfire, made by an anxious Leo, who was examining the red gauntlet on his hands.''It dosent do anything he would scream ever so often. ''Clare, why don't you tell us about you histroy''. No! My mind thought, i really didn't want to tell anyone. We might all be a group, but that doesn't mean i trust them, we are still practically strangers. But they took me in, rescued me from my dark past, so the least i could do was tell them about myself and my... past.

'' When i was ten, i used to be happy, my Mom and Dad cared for me and i had plenty of friends, that changed after the crash were they both died from. I was taken into care and as you can imagine, i wasnt very.. cooperative. I was moved to a school were i didnt't make the effort to make any friends. I was alone it seemed, untill i met a boy called Alex, he was like me in sense, he was a poor boy who could only just about afford the normal things that People took for granted'' Alex who was listening quite intently froze after i said that, i wonder why i thought, i didn;t say anything bad did I.

''And what happened after that'' said a curious Annabeth.'' He left me, one day he didn't come to school and i was all alone again. I was eventually fostered by some nice really rich people when i was twelve, they had a daughter. She was fun and caring almost like the older sister i never had. We became fast freinds'' i said as i started reminiscing about the times we had together, the way she started to bring me out of my shell, the walks we had in the park. The times we would go shopping. How we would play hide and seek in the big mansion i eventually came to see as my home.

''When i turned thirteen, she took me to an archery range, somewhere she went often. From the moment i picked up a bow i knew i would grow to love the sport as much as she loved it.'', '' am not gonna lie at first i was really bad, i could never generate enough power to hit the target, and when i did the arrow always flew over target. Some how though i liked that, i felt like a good way to forget my old life. I saw it as a obstacle that i had to conquer. Slowly i started to hit the target, by the time i was fourteen i could flawlessly hit the target'' i said i still remembered the time i hit my first bulls eye. It was such a rush and my foster parents had gotten me a purple IPOD and IPHONE to celebrate, i thought the world was perfect at that time. I now had friends thanks to my sister who introduced me all the right people. I wish i could have stayed that way.

'' One day when me and my sister were at the train station something strange happened, the temperature dropped, the wind blew strongly threatening to blow us down. A howl went up into the air and a woman appeared with odd legs, she looked kind, until she tried to eat us. Me and my sister ran, towards our home. We found our bikes and unchained them. We got on so fast that we didn't see the massive Dog to our side until it was in the, jumping towards us until it was too late. it was headed straight towards my sister when she spread out her hands and as if by magic she sent the Dog flying the way it came. She looked at me apologetically as she saw my expression, before she told me to get away from here''

''I refused to leave her behind, and in the end she came with me. we had just made it to the mansion when my world came crushing down. I found the house surrounded by the police. I never found out why because at that very moment a voice said am sorry child before i found myself in a completely different place, i stayed there not doing anything apart from trying to move objects the way my sister had. It happened almost instantly, two years i spent sharpening my powers until i was sure that if those things ever came after me again, i would be ready, the rest you guys know''

A stunned silence filled the place. Untill Leo and Percy both said'' That was... interesting''

ALEX POV

The boy Clare was talking about it was me. I felt numb, i searched ages for her after i left thanks to the voice that took her away from her sister.

Before i could do anything Chaos appeared and said'' Now you have permission you can move onto training, after seeing you guys battle those basic Level one warriors, i see you all need a lot more work on your skill'' No one could say anything else as he left the clearing.
