Inverted-

Chapter twenty

Luckily, Yuki seemed to have Naruto's own luck when it came to dying. Even in a small way. She also seemed to possess Naruto's ability to bounce back mindbogglingly fast. Which was awesome and all. However the only drawback to her uncanny ability to bounce back from nearly dying was the unforeseen aftermath.

At present she was sitting on the lounge chair, across the room making a little cross out of her fingers and growling at Tsunade in warning whenever she tried to inch a little bit closer to her. Finally Tsunade got fed up with the girl's actions and growled back. "Calm down already. I'm just going to make sure that your really okay. Air deprivation can kill off blood cells, ya know."

"No way! You almost killed me!"

"It was a hug, you ridiculous child!" Tsunade shouted at her.

"It was assault with a deadly pair of tits! So forgive me if I'm not all that keen to have you leaning over my head!" Yuki shouted back, not bothering to censor her language despite the fact that they were amongst mixed company. Because right then and there, she didn't care if she sounded unlady-like and vulgar.

Blondy ginormous tit's had nearly smothered her to damned death! Honestly hugs were one thing, being smothered by boobies was another thing entirely.

Besides, it wasn't as if she seemed to have offended anyone anyways. There was far too much sniggering for anyone to have been well and truly offended. Well with the exception of Tsunade that is.

Though how someone with such ginormous tits could take offense to being told that their boobs- especially a ninja- were a deadly weapon instead of taking it as a compliment, she would never understand.

Finally they both stopped shouting at each other and Tsunade turned to Gaara- whom had been watching the whole damned hilarious spectacle from where he stood next to where Yuki was sitting- and growled out, "I changed my mind. Take the brat." As she started to turn and walk back to her desk when she heard.

"Why did you summon me here?" Yuki suddenly asked.

That was another thing, Tsunade noted, that she seemed to have inherited from Naruto aside from her temperament. The way that her mind seemed to switch gears from one thing to another and appeared to process it was...well, incredibly Naruto-like.

So much so that Tsunade began to wonder just what other traits Yuki had gotten from her gaki. Especially since it seemed very much as if some traces of him were still lingering and helping the girl to develop a better mind and personality.

Her vocabulary was certainly broader than Naruto's had been.

"Uh...m-ma'am?" Yuki's voice cut through the Kage's thoughts like a knife, luckily stopping her from taking note of any more lingering traits left over from her gaki. Though she was certain that Gaara and his siblings had probably taken note of the similarities as well.

No matter, it wasn't what was important right now. The talk however was.

Clearing her throat delicately, Tsunade turned to face the girl again and then asked, "Yuki, do you understand what a marriage is?"

The girl frowned for a moment and then replied, "The legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship. Most commonly a marriage takes place between a man and a woman. People who marry usually have a romantic and very intimate relationship."

Tsunade was impressed. Not only did she seem to know what it was, but she also knew the definition. What did Naruto decide to try and memorize a frigging dictionary to help Yuki better understand things before he disappeared? She wondered. If so, he'd done a bang up job.

Especially since the girl seemed to understand better than she had initially hoped that she would. Tsunade drew a small measure of comfort from that fact as she started to speak again, "Since you understand what a marriage is, then hopefully you'll understand why this next bit of information is coming from. As someone who's very existence was literally created by someone dear not only to myself but to others- including Gaara and his siblings."

"Then please try to understand that since you do not retain any memories of who you used to be...uh, ninja-wise that is. Then it is your best interest to leave the village since you would only be in danger if you remained. To cement this change, Gaara has decided to take you as his wife."

Yuki looked away from her to steal a glance at Gaara. He looked more than a little bit uncomfortable to her. Probably because he was expecting her to lose her shit and lash out or something. However instead of doing just that, Yuki simply huffed quietly and then cast a quick glance around at the other occupants of the room for a moment.

They all looked sort of similar to Gaara at the moment. Well, except for Sai. He was looking...irked as hell if anything at all. Which was surprising to her considering how...pleasant? he had seemed to her earlier.

Finally she sighed and merely nodded her head to acknowledge that she understood her situation, though to be perfectly honest she wasn't exactly sure what to feel about the whole arrangement. Especially considering the fact that she had literally only existed for a day.

Consciously at least.

On one hand, part of her wanted to be irrationally pissed at these people for making such decisions about her future without her. And on the other hand, she felt oddly- eerily- at peace with it.

There was a bit more than just the typical sort of understanding lingering within the depths of her mind. And she couldn't help but grasp at it like a life line and hold on tightly to it in an effort not to feel too overwhelmed by her present situation.
