Fair warning, this is a super short chapter. I'm planning to update it soon so don't worry! Thank you for sticking with this story. With all the Hannily stories on tonight's episode I just felt like writing again. Anyways, here's the next chapter!

The first three seconds of Emily's morning were the best, the three second before she remembered that she'd been fighting with Hanna all weekend, before she remember that Hanna's Dad was living with her, meaning that their lives and relationship were about to get very complicated and most importantly, the three seconds before Emily remember that Hanna had hidden something from her.

In all their years as friends and their time as girlfriends, Hanna had never been one to keep things from her. The blonde understood just how crucial honesty and communication were to their relationship, especially because A was constantly on their backs and trying to pit them against one another.

Slowly, Emily rose from the bed and trotted into the blonde's bathroom. The tan girl stared at her reflection in the mirror and sighed; dark circles rimmed her eyes and her hair was a mess. Emily undressed swiftly and hopped into Hanna's shower, turning the water on as warm as she could stand. Gradually, Emily felt the tension leave her muscles and she relaxed under the warm spray. This moment of bliss was all she needed to get through the day. After washing her hair lathering herself with body wash that smelled sweet like Hanna, the taller girl exited the shower and wrapped a fluffy white towel around herself.

After brushing out her long, dark locks, Emily reentered the bedroom the join her girlfriend, only to find her gone. The swimmer cocked her head to the side in confusion; Hanna was never out of bed this early, even on a morning like this when they had school.

"Hanna?" Emily called out. When she was met with no response, she quickly threw on a pair of black skinny jeans and one of Hanna's shirts before descending down the stairs in search of her girlfriend.

She found the blonde - hair and make-up and fully dressed- arguing in a hushed tone with her father in the middle of the kitchen.

"Well lucky for me, I don't give a fuck about how you feel," Hanna hissed in reply to something Emily hadn't heard.

"Now you listen to me, I-," Tom began to threaten but faltered when his eyes locked onto the tan girl.

"I see you invited a friend over last night," Tom stated, with ill-concealed anger in his voice.

"Hi Mr. Marin, it's nice to see you again," Emily said quickly, crossing the room and standing next to Hanna. She could see the other girl shaking softly with what Emily guessed was rage.

"We were just leaving," Hanna huffed quickly as she grabbed Emily's hand with one hand and their purses with the other and dragging them both towards the front door.

"We are not done with this conversation Hanna," Her father yelled threateningly.

Hanna didn't reply, she just slammed the front door and ripped her car keys out of her purse.

"What the hell was that about?" Emily asked seriously.

"Nothing," Hanna snarled, still refusing to make eye contact with Emily.

"Hanna, talk to me," Emily insisted, taking both of her girlfriend's hands in her own, halting her search for keys.

"I can't do this right now Emily, we've got school," Hanna answered in a faux-strong voice. Her lips were quivering and by the way she refused to meet her gaze, Emily knew that Hanna was at her breaking point.

"So we blow off school, you're more important," Emily told her softly.

"Can we please just get out of here?" Hanna snapped, feeling uncomfortable with her own vulnerability. Emily made her walls and reservations melt like ice and she just wasn't prepared to deal with all her feelings yet.

"Yeah," Emily nodded "I'll drive."

For once, Hanna didn't argue.
