Hey everyone! Sorry I got this to y'all so late. I haven't been that motivated to write recently and a friend had lent me Final Fantasy X to play a few days ago. Not having ever played any Final Fantasy game, I quickly got addicted as all my attention the past few days had been devoted to beating it. I'm stuck on a boss and figured, 'Hey, might as well update and be somewhat productive!' I will say that on the upside, it has given me some ideas for original stories, though I'm not sure if I'll ever follow through with them. Thank you for your patience and, as always, read, review, but most importantly, enjoy!

The two heroes and robot companion materialized on the teleporter pad within the Hall of Justice. Beast Boy shivered as he appeared within the building.

"That's even weirder than Raven's dark energy thingy…" The sensation the changeling felt was not something that could be described. The best depiction of it he could give was that it most likely resembled the feeling of being torn apart at a molecular level and being put back together. He didn't know the science of it, and frankly, he didn't want to know. Meanwhile, Booster Gold was already stepping off the platform, Skeets hovering beside him. He turned back and gestured for the changeling to follow him. Beast Boy complied, jogging to catch up.

"You don't look as though you've gotten used to the teleporter yet." The golden man couldn't keep the humor out of his voice as he addressed the teen.

"Definitely not, and honestly, I don't think I ever will."

"Too bad, you're probably going to be using it a lot." The changeling gulped. He would definitely prefer riding with Raven. He decided to take his mind off of it by observing his surroundings. There were several supercomputers along the walls. The quiet white noise they gave off echoed off the walls. He looked up as they approached the entrance to see the larger-than-life statues of the founding members. He was in sheer awe.

"Whoa…" Booster Gold chuckled.

"Yeah, that was how I reacted when I first saw this place too. They don't keep any media files of this place in the 25th century. The press, I guess, was never really allowed in here." The rocket-shaped machine at the man's side continued.

"I've since taken several photographs and videos and stored them on my memory drive. Figured we might as well make our own records of this place for future reference." Beast Boy giggled in response while Booster Gold stared at his companion, an eyebrow perking up, clearly missing something. The hovering machine looked right back at him. "A joke, sir, I thought it would, I believe the saying is, 'knock 'em dead'…" The not-so-well advertised hero merely shrugged as he walked out the door and the changeling recovered from his giggling fit. He caught up to the man in yellow within a couple seconds.

"So…where are we going?"

"You'll see kid." Luckily he didn't have to stew in his curiosity for long, as their destination ended up being a little building on a corner. Booster stepped in first, companion hovering beside his shoulder as a mini bell rang to signal their arrival. Beast Boy stepped in behind him and looked around. It appeared to be a restaurant with a bar on the right side. The walls facing the street were paneled with windows, allowing a panoramic view of their surroundings. The changeling looked up at a clock on the wall, noting the time to be about seven o' clock in the evening. Cars were bustling by on the street adjacent to them, shedding light on the dim restaurant. He turned back to the scene in front of him to see the golden man waving him into a booth. Beast Boy complied and took at seat. As soon as he did, a waitress seemed to materialize in front of them, pad and pen in hand.

"Hey y'all, what'll you have for tonight?" Beast Boy's eyes widened. The woman had the most southern accent he'd ever heard. She appeared to be in her mid-twenties. Her face was lightly covered in freckles and her blonde hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail. She was wearing a blue button up with black slacks and shoes, with a white apron over it all. On her face she wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses and an ever-present smirk that vaguely reminded the changeling of Raven or Robin. The way she carried herself looked as if she was always upbeat. She was staring intently at her pad ready to write down an order, apparently not even noticing the two people she was serving.

"Hey, Sweet Cheeks." She looked up from the paper, scanning the two customers. Instantly, she dropped the smirk in favor of a scowl and drilled holes directly into the golden hero's soul with her glare.

"Oh…it's you…" She said the word as if she was spitting acid. Evidently the two had met at least once before.

"So…how's it hanging?" The waitress ignored him and turned to the changeling. She visibly jumped once she noticed his skin and hair was green, but recovered quickly and positioned her pen to write on the pad.

"So, what'll you have, hun?" Beast Boy quickly skimmed the menu to decide what he wanted.

"I think I'll just start out with some coffee." He wasn't big on the drink, definitely not to the point Robin was, but it seemed appropriate for the place and he was feeling a bit tired.

"Sure thing, I'll be right back." The smirk once again appeared on her face as she walked off to fill his order, Booster Gold raising a finger in objection just a little too late. Not taking too keenly to being ignored, he crossed his arms as his bottom lip stuck out in a pout. Beast Boy found the situation quite humorous and was interested in what caused her obvious dislike of the golden hero.

"Mind telling me why she hates you?" Booster Gold swiveled his head around, looking to his left and his right. He was clearly trying to avoid eye contact with the changeling.

"I may have made fun of her accent, and then proceeded to hit on her, leaving my phone number to call as her tip…"

"Dude…" Even Beast Boy had more respect for women than that. "Was that really necessary?" Booster Gold sighed.

"It was a bad time for me. I just broke up with Tracy and a lot of stuff in my life was going south. I wasn't put on nearly as many missions, so it was harder for me to just forget about it and move on."

"…and you thought calling her Sweet Cheeks would help you how?"

"I was kind of hoping that she might have forgotten about all that and tried to be funny. Obviously I'm zero-for-two for the night."

"Dude, even I could have told you that kind of humor doesn't work. I've been trying it for years. I got a chuckle once and another time I got a full-blown laugh from Raven's happy side." Booster raised an eyebrow. "Don't ask, it gives me a headache to explain…" The blonde man looked over his shoulder to see the waitress coming back to the table with the coffee.

"She's coming back! What should I do?" The hero spoke in a whisper that gave a sense of urgency. The changeling merely stared at him as if he grew a second head.

"Uh, apologize?" The statement rolled off his tongue as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Then again, with all the pranks he pulled on his fellow teammates and constant annoyance of a certain empath, it probably was the most obvious thing ever.

"Do you think that will work?"

"You won't know until you try…" The fame-seeking hero sighed. The waitress finally made it to the table and delivered the coffee to the changeling, setting down a few packets of cream and sugar beside it. She pointedly ignored the other man sitting in the booth until he cleared his throat in a loud and slightly obnoxious manner. With a huff, she turned to the golden man and stared him down, causing him to sink in his seat a little bit. Still determined to do something right for one of the very few times in his life, he decided to speak up anyways.

"Look, I'm sorry…" The waitress raised an eyebrow in suspicion of a prank, which was actually pretty likely considering the two people, and one robot companion, sitting at the table. She crossed her arms and began tapping her finger on her bicep to the same rhythm her foot was tapping the floor with.

"…I'm listening." Booster Gold sighed.

"I'm really not used to this sort of thing, you know, apologizing and all. I just wanted to say I was a real jerk and I'll make up for the tip this time around." The waitress glared at him for a solid minute after he was done, causing him to gulp. Finally, she spoke.

"All is forgiven." The blonde hero was shocked.

"Wait, really?" The waitress nodded.

"Sure…after you scrub the dishes in the back for the next hour." Booster started mumbling to himself.

"Should have known there was a catch…" He simply shrugged; there were worse things in the world to do, after all. The waitress chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'll let you eat first, and maybe, just maybe, if you do a good enough job…I might use the tip you gave me last time." Skeets buzzed by his companion's ear, speaking in a whisper.

"I believe the proper response would be, 'Score!' Just be sure to say it when she can't hear you." The waitress, who could clearly hear everything the mechanical assistant could say, stifled a laugh.

"In case you didn't know, my name is Alyssa. Now, how can I serve you boys?" Booster Gold decided that coffee was a good idea as well and also ordered a sandwich. Beast Boy chose to have a simple salad. Sure, it might not go that well with coffee, but he was willing to overlook that small detail for now. The waitress walked off with that ever-present smirk still on her face.

For about the next hour, the two heroes talked and joked about, telling stories from their previous missions as well.

"So wait…wait, wait…are you telling me you actually went inside TV shows?" Booster Gold was hearing about the changeling's most memorable encounter with what was considered by the Titans as their weirdest villain.

"Mmhmm…" The shapeshifter poked the spare pieces of lettuce around his bowl as he related the story to the golden hero.

"Wow, what was your favorite part? It all must have been amazing!"

"Oh, it was, we actually got to fight some old school movie villains while we were in there." The changeling chuckled to himself, reminiscing. "If I had to choose a moment…it'd have to be a toss-up between when I banished Control Freak to the Null Dimension using the Hakjoon Chant, or…" Booster Gold leaned in closer.

"Or what?"

"When I took off Raven's cloak and put it on myself to try and mind-trick the droids. The expression on her face was priceless, I thought for sure she was gonna kill me once we got out!" Booster gave a hearty chuckle. He had heard a few things about the sorceress, including her cold and closed off nature towards people she didn't know. The fact that Beast Boy was sitting in front of him alive and well after removing the sanctuary that was her cloak and putting it on himself was slightly unbelievable.

"That's quite a story!"

"Yeah, I still can't believe you stopped a black hole from destroying the Earth! You didn't tell anyone about that?" The golden hero snorted.

"I tried, but I'm not exactly known to be the most trustworthy person. Eventually I decided that it wasn't a big deal if they didn't know." Beast Boy nodded with a smile on his face. Booster Gold was cocky and attention-seeking; it didn't take long to figure that out. Underneath all that, however, he noticed the hero behind the man. It was obscure and covered up, to the point that even Booster wasn't aware of it, but somehow, Beast Boy could see the potential within him, the potential for self-sacrifice. Glancing at his companion hovering at shoulder level, the changeling believed that the machine could see at as well. All the respect he showed the man, even if at times it seemed misplaced, only persuaded Beast Boy that Skeets knew a lot more about humanity than he let on. "So, you ready to go?" Beast Boy grinned.

"Yeah, but you aren't." Booster Gold raised an eyebrow before the reality of his situation hit him and he groaned.

"I don't suppose you could help me, could you?" The changeling scratched his chin for a second before answering.

"Sorry, but she didn't ask me to do the dishes, did she? Besides, you might actually get some alone time with her if I step out for a bit." The golden hero sighed.

"Fine…go ahead and take Skeets with you, he knows the area, and I can track him down when I'm done." Beast Boy simply nodded.

"Sounds good! See you in an hour!" He turned in headed out the door, mechanical companion trailing behind him as Booster Gold groaned.

"Yeah, whatever…" His mood was instantly lifted, however, as Alyssa gave him her obligatory smirk as she waved him to the back. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all…

Beast Boy had taken to roaming to the streets, exploring the unfamiliar area around him. Whenever he had a question about something, Skeets was more than capable of answering it. The hovering buddy was able to give a layman's description of everything the changeling asked about, as well as any historical significance that the location might have had. An hour came and passed before he knew it, and the teen found himself standing outside a huge warehouse with strobe lights flashing through the windows and a loud, techno beat permeating the air. Booster Gold quickly caught up to him, finding him after only a few minutes after he had arrived. The golden hero seemed to recognize the place immediately, smile spreading across his face. He turned to the changeling.

"Wanna go in?" The teen hesitated for a moment before nodding with a grin plastered on his own.

"Let's go!" It appeared the hero of the future had been often, as they were instantly let in. The large guard standing at the entrance gave Booster a fist bump as they conversed for a moment before the muscle-bound man unlatched the velvet rope that was blocking the entrance.

Inside, the changeling stood gaping. The club was a least twice the size of the one he went to with his team when Blackfire was in town. Despite the fact that there had to be well over a couple hundred people there, it seemed there was still quite a bit of room on the dance floor. Directing it all stood the DJ, who was positioned in front of the humongous crowd and was spinning discs and tweaking songs fluidly, without a single break in movement. Lights were strobing everywhere, casting different colors along the walls and helping Beast Boy blend into the crowd, though anyone who looked closely enough could see his pointed ears. The obvious downside, however, was that it was loud, causing the changeling to cover his sensitive ears for a few moments before he finally adjusted to the volume. Booster Gold realized this and allowed him some time to attune himself to his surroundings before he addressed the teen.

"Pretty kickin' huh?"

"It's a little loud…" The advertising hero simply shrugged before heading out to the dance floor. Beast Boy glanced around and decided there was nothing better to do besides follow him. As dubstep played at a deafening volume in the background, the changeling eventually spotted Booster Gold doing The Robot, off-beat to the music. Meanwhile, Skeets was simply twirling in the air. It appeared that machines were able to get dizzy as he slowed down before finally crashing to the ground, letting out a mechanical groan. Luckily, it seemed as though none of his systems had suffered any damage, as he soon levitating by the blonde man's shoulder once again swaying to the music, albeit slowly this time. Beast Boy chuckled to himself as Booster waved him over.

"Don't just stand there, dance!" Beast Boy smirked as he loosened up, bobbing his head and tapping his foot to the beat.

A few months after Tokyo and well after Beast Boy had seen the girl who had claimed not to be Terra for the last time, the changeling and half-machine cornered the Boy Blunder outside of the evidence room. They explained that, while they both understood Robin's ever-increasing obsession with Starfire, they were feeling left out of the loop. Bro time was quickly established, as Robin's time with the Tamaranean had opened him up to be a little more perceptive of others emotional states. He and Cyborg would regularly compete in video tournaments, as well as Beast Boy, who would be eliminated within the first couple rounds. While he was having fun with his friends, the changeling still couldn't help but feel left out. Sure, he always had Cyborg, but he and Robin were never close. Not much of their pasts were ever disclosed, making it fairly hard for him to relate to his leader. Even though they became more of a family than a team every day, the Boy Wonder was still someone Beast Boy looked up to, though he wasn't as much of a kiss-up as when he first met the former sidekick. As well as he was doing with everyone else, he couldn't help but wish that he was able to bond with Robin as strongly as with everyone else in their weird, little family. The answer to it came in a way the changeling didn't expect.

While Beast Boy had, as he put it, "rad dance moves," walking in on Robin in their revamped training room had put the green teen back in his place. The Boy Wonder had installed acrobatic equipment to work on muscle coordination sometime after their vacation, stating how, despite the fact that the majority of the major villains they fought were in cryostasis, they still needed to be prepared for anything. Beast Boy certainly wasn't prepared for the sight of his leader soaring high of the trapeze, his fluidity of motion resembling a flowing stream. As he watched the Boy Wonder fly through the air, a plan began to form in Beast Boy's mind.

Persuading Robin to learn breakdancing with him was no easy feat. It had taken the changeling several days straight of pleading and whining to his leader before he finally relented. In retrospect, he probably could have found some way to link the discipline to training, but Beast Boy was never the one to do things logically. They started off slow, learning some of the more basic steps. Robin caught on to the movements quickly, while Beast Boy struggled with some of the core strength required for the steps. This had the effect of getting the green teen into the training room more often. Within a couple weeks he mastered the simple lessons and progressed to more difficult levels. Robin was quite impressed and was sure to let Beast Boy know. Soon enough, the Boy Wonder decided to augment the changeling's dancing by teaching him some gymnastics maneuvers. The changeling eventually caught on, ultimately leading to the incorporation of flips and spins into their mini dance routines. It was something they shared that no one else on the team knew about. For an hour today, behind closed doors, they were jamming along to music, pointing out how the other could improve their technique, and, most importantly, having fun.

Beast Boy recalled all the great times he had with Robin, how their bond had strengthened over the past few months. Looking out into the crowd, he decided that it couldn't hurt to cut loose in public. He warmed up with some basic movements before cutting into some of the more advanced techniques, throwing some of the more difficult maneuvers with a large amount of power. Flips, aerials, and air flares were all thrown into the routine, making nearly everyone in the room stop what they were doing.

Beast Boy was completely unaware of it all. Eyes closed, the only thing that mattered to him was his movement, keeping with the tempo of the song perfectly. The DJ had finally abandoned his position at the forefront of the dance floor and jumped down to join the changeling, keeping up with his fluidity of motion. As the song came to an end, Beast Boy executed a perfect backflip, stalling it at the apex of the jump and landing in a full split, right leg sticking out in front and left one behind. He cringed slightly before he settled into the position and was nearly flattened by the sound of applause. He got up with a sheepish expression on his face, rubbing the back of his neck as the DJ returned to spin the records and get another song going. As fascinating as it was to watch the changeling dance, everyone swiftly got back into the rhythm of the new song, paying the hero no mind. However, once he turned back to Booster, he found the golden hero staring at him wide-eyed. So much so, that the teen could see the whites of his eyes above and below the goggles he wore. Meanwhile, Skeets was looking Beast Boy up and down, appearing to scrutinize him. Finally, Booster Gold spoke up.

"That was amazing!" Beast Boy smirked.

"I had a little help." Booster mirrored the changeling's expression.

"Here's the real question though, how good are you at singing?" Beast Boy gulped. How he managed to win over all those fangirls in Tokyo he would never know. Even he was aware that his singing voice was absolutely abysmal. "They have karaoke here tonight. I usually sing, and I have quite a few fans." Booster flexed his biceps to the crowd, making a few women swoon near the back, as if proving his point.

"I'm actually pretty horrible, but I'll do it under one condition: I get to choose the song." The golden hero nodded.

"Fair enough."

Beast Boy found himself on the stage soon enough, Booster Gold as his side, looking nervous as a very familiar song began to play through the speakers. The changeling took a deep breath before he began to sing.

"I will obey the traffic rules. Teen Titans!" Booster began to sing, each of them alternating as the song continued to play.

"I will eat everything without likes or dislikes." Booster raised an eyebrow as he read the lyrics, but continued nonetheless. "Teen Titans!"

"Earthquakes, lightning, fire, Dad."

"Grammar, math, science, social studies."

"There is nothing I am afraid of! Teen Titans go!"

"Holla, holla, holla, holla, holla, holla, holler my name! Teen Titans!"

"Half of your troubles will be gone! Teen Titans!"

"Papa's schedule control."

"Mama's weight control."

"Wishes are endless." The two heroes looked at each other before deciding to finish together.

"TEEN TITANS GO! 1-2-3-4-5-TEEN TITANS!"

The audience was muttering to themselves throughout the song, trying to decipher any hidden meaning behind it. Finding none, they began to lightly applaud as the two heroes finished singing. Beast Boy and Booster Gold both made it back down to the dance floor, laughing about their performance. Suddenly, Gar heard a loud ringing that nearly forced him to his knees. A familiar voice came on Booster Gold's earpiece, the green teen able to hear clearly due to his enhanced senses.

"Booster Gold, Beast Boy, report back to the watchtower immediately." It was unmistakably the voice of Martian Manhunter, and he didn't sound too pleased. Booster Gold inserted his right finger into his ear to respond.

"Understood, Booster out." He let out a sigh before turning to the changeling. "Guess it's time to go kid."

They made their way back to the Hall of Justice and stepped on the teleporter pad, beaming themselves to await whatever J'onn had to say.
