*1 week later*

Lucy silently walks to the edge of the pier, Erza beside her.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Erza asked softly. Lucy glared, replying with a harsh yes. Erza sighed and turned her head away from Lucy. Once they reached the pier, they stopped. A man sat and stared before offering a ride. Lucy huffed and nodded.

"Well hop on!" He said cheerfully.

Lucy grimaced and Erza sighed.

….

After boating around for an hour or so, Lucy and Erza finally reached the island. Lucy smiled and jumped off the boat along with Erza. The man waved and began to leave. "You better be careful!" He calls, disappearing.

As soon as they stepped forward, they heard a voice.

"Going somewhere…bunny-girl?" Lucy gasped turning around, tripping over her feet. She fell forward, being caught by strong arms.

She looked up blushing slightly before recomposing herself. "Gajeel what are you doing here?" He smiled and started to laugh. "What's so funny?" Erza demanded. Gajeel stopped laughing, "Did you think I'd let you come here alone?" He looked at Lucy. "Lucy blushed more and turned to Erza. "I have someone, so I don't…need you."

He scoffed and grabbed her arm. "I ain't do this for." She tugged her arm and began to walk away. "Whatever."

...

The birds chirped as the sun began to slowly set. The trio tumbled through the trees, mumbling their discomfort. "I think we should take a break." Erza stopped when they finally reached a clearing. Lucy and Gajeel mumbled.

….

"I'm going to gather some fire wood, Gajeel, stay and watch Lucy." Erza didn't wait for a reply and immediately took off.

Gajeel sighed and looked down. Lucy stood up and walked in front of Gajeel. "Tell me the real reason you came along!" Lucy demanded.

Gajeel looked up and smirked. "I already told ya, I wasn't gonna let you come alone."

Lucy frowned, "that's not really all of it." He smiled, "You're sharp," She glared at him. "Fine, I need something." She looked away and saw the last bit of the sun fading away before she looked back to Gajeel. "What?" He doesn't say anything, just looking away.

Lucy put her hand up but he roughly grabbed her, pulling her face directly in front of his. "Why do you wannna know!?"

Lucy looked away and sighed. "This was for me, not for you. I think I have the right to know why you tagged along with us." He laughed and let go of her arm. "I'm still not telling you." Lucy sighed and sat down. "Sure…okay,"

….

"Laxus, we have a problem."

"What Lis?" Laxus asked. "I told you not to call me that…anyway, we have intruders. Erza, Gajeel, and worst, Lucy!"

Laxus laughed and turned to Lisanna. "I knew Erza would be smart enough to figure it out."

Lisanna glared at him, "how'd she know that we were on this island!?" Laxus laughed again and turned, walking away. "You better prepare to fight." He disappeared into the black, the only thing left behind was his laughter, ringing the bells in the room.

"What….battle?"

Lucy woke up and blushed immediately. Somehow, she was curled up against Gajeel, his arm resting on her hip. The first rays of the sun peaked above the treetops. They caressed her skin in a light milky color as she heard footsteps behind her.

"I didn't want to wake you, you guys um…looked comfortable." Erza said. Coming to help Lucy up from Gajeel. He groaned and turned over, releasing Lucy. She blushed and murdered a thanks.

Erza laughed, and started a fresh new fire. Lucy stared into the trees, blushing. "Why?" Lucy turned to Erza.

"Why what?" She looked up and frowned. Lucy frowned too, "why'd you let Gajeel tag along?" Erza sighed. "I asked him to." Lucy choked, "what!?"

Erza smiled, closing her eyes, "you'll see eventually." She stood once the fire was done and began to walk away, "I'm going to go look for some stuff, oh and you should put something…better on."

Lucy looked down and screamed.

….

"Where the hell are they!?" Natsu screamed, running around Lucy's apartment.

"Natsu, just calm down. I'm sure they had some reasonable reason to go." Gray murmured, laying down on Lucy's bed. Natsu turned around and stared directly at Gray, "what the hell do you know. I need to apologize, make her realize I'm sorry."

Gray sighed and closed his eyes, "whatever."

….

"Lisanna, come here." Laxus called. "Yes?"

"Go fetch Lucy." "Yes, master."

Lisanna vanished and Laxus smiled. "Everything's going perfect."

….

Lucy sighed and looked down, 'should I forgive him?' "Lucy?"

Lucy looked up and blushed slightly, "Gajeel?" "Where's Erza?" Lucy sighed again, "I'm not sure." Gajeel nodded and stood up, "well, I'm going to go." When he turned to leave he stopped. He turned around and his eyes widened slightly. Lucy was holding tightly to his arm, tears streaming down her face, "please don't…go. Don't leave me alone." She dropped his arm and looked down, "I…I don't." She sighed and whimpered softly. "Sorry."

He groaned and sat down, "fine."

Lucy looked up and tried wiping some of the tears away. "Thanks." "Yeah…whatever."

They sat like that for a while, not talking. "Lucy…I have to tell you something." Lucy looked up, waiting. "I know something bad..."

"What!?"

"Laxus is planning something, bad. And I know that it involves you. I'm not sure what or when, but I have a reason that that's why Erza wanted me to come. She's probably going to try and search the island while I protect you." He looked at Lucy, waiting for her reply. "You mean to tell me, I don't need you to protect me. I can handle myself! Do you know what I am now?"

Before Gajeel could answer the ground starting shaking, opening up and swallowing them.

Me: I'm so sorry these are short.

Lucy: *Mad*

Me: You're not dead!

Lucy: Whatever!
