AUTHORS NOTE: This is a VERY short one shot. You may cry, from feels. Um...enjoy? *shrug*

It was time. The doctor was regenerating for the twelfth time in his long life. The regeneration just started, and Clara was upset about it and worried that something would go wrong.

"Clara, it will be alright." The Doctor tried to reassure her, cupping her face with his hands. "I'm just going to look different." He smiled, trying to calm her down.

She was crying, shocked and scared. The tears where rolling off her face like tiny clear baseballs. "But…but, what if it goes wrong?!" Her eyes went wide as the octor wiped off the tears on her cheeks with his thumbs.

"Nothing will change, I'll just look different. I'll still love you and you'll still love me, right?" He smiled.

"Of course. I would always love you."

"Even if I look like a sixty-eight year old man?" He laughed a bit, trying to lighten the mood.

Clara smiled and even laughed a bit as well, "Yes."

He raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

She licked her lips, "Well, it would depend."

"On?"

"Uh..I don't know!" She got frustrated. "But, you know. It won't be the same. Us. We'd have to start almost all the way over." She looked down and the tears started again.
The doctor hated seeing her cry and hated her being upset. So he did what he knew would help. He held her. She sobbed into his shoulder as he stroked her hair.

"Clara. You'll always be my girl. My impossible girl. You know I'll always love you." He whispered.

She looked him in the eyes, "I love you too, Chin boy." Clara smiled, then ran her hand over his chin. She had always loved his oversized chin. And she always would. Clara kissed his chin then his lips. He returned the kiss, cupping her face with his hands once again. The doctor smiled at her, noticing that she was still silently crying. He took his hands off her face and decided to hold both her hands.

"Clara, you are my soufflé girl. You are my impossible girl. Don't forget that."

She smiled but it quickly faded, "You say that like its a goodbye. Don't say goodbye. You're not dying. Please don't talk like that." She sniffled.

He stood up, and she stood with him, "it's time. I have to go. See you later. Maybe in a few days. Maybe a few years. But I will see you again." Clara practically jumped into his arms and hugged him.

"I love you." She nuzzled his neck.

"I love you too, impossible girl." The doctor fought back tears.

He forced himself to let go of her and kissed her softly. "Look out! Next time you see me I will be completely different!" He did that weird spin-turn thing he always did and hugged her again, smiling.

She smiled and hugged him back. "Don't go. I don't want you to go." She said, close to his chest.

"I have to, dear. Now let go please. " he laughed and stuck his arms in the air a bit, needing her to let go. Finally after what felt like two hours, she let go.
Clara smiled, "Bye. "

"Bye. " he smiled back. "For now. "
