Kim Possible: The Possible Factor

"What do you see," Ron asked as Kim studied the school through a pair of very high-tech binoculars she was adjusting.

"I only see Monkey Fist, and Sensei, and he's not looking good." she told him. "Oh, and about six monkey ninja. Only….one of them is kinda….weird."

"Define weird," Yori asked quietly as they sheltered in the trees beyond the walls of Yamanouchi.

"Wait. I see….. Oh, that can't be right," she frowned.

"Kim," Ron asked, an unusually quiet Hannah in his arms.

"I think…. I think Monkey Fist turned the others into stone. I just spotted Hirotaka, but he's….. He's solid as rock. And looks like one."

Ron took the glasses, and swept the nearby scene, giving a faint groan.

"So, rays? Weapons? Ninja gas? What," Shego asked quietly, not likening the way the head monkey master himself had been taken out by someone even Stoppable used to beat pretty regularly.

"What do you think, Yori," Ron asked, handing her the glasses after he studied the wide courtyard where Master Sensei hung unconscious from a large temple portico that wasn't supposed to be there. Yet it was.

"I know what Monkey Fist has done, and it's worse than we feared," Yori told them after studying the scene before them.

"What do you mean?"

"The weird monkey, as you call it, is not a true monkey. It's a demon. The YoNo himself."

"Oh, no. The YoNo," Ron moaned. Then shook his head, and asked, "What's a YoNo? I mean, you know, other than bad news?"

Yori sighed, and Kim wondered if Ron was ever going to truly change, his recent maturity notwithstanding.

"The YoNo is an ancient demon that stands against the Han. If Monkey Fist has raised him, then things are truly dire. The demon uses the power of the summoner's soul to gain power in this world. The key to defeating it, is to defeat the summoner."

"So, we just have to take down Monkey Fist," Kim nodded. "No big," Kim nodded again.

"Yes, big. The powers the YoNo has on this plane are…..terrible. Turning our students to stone is nothing to him. He could do far worse. And if he defeats the Han, he will use her to unleash true evil on this world. Stoppable-San, we cannot allow that to happen."

"We won't let it happen," Ron assured her. "Right, Hannah?"

"No," she beamed.

"Okay, we need a plan," Shego said.

"I think it's obvious. We go in, distract the weird monkey, and let Ron take out Monkey Fist," Kim told them.

"Obvious? The ninja here just said that guy is a demon with unimaginable power. Come on, Kimmie. You just barely got on your feet, and you think you're going to…..?"

"Let's go," Kim said, and leapt to the ground below the tree with ease.

Shego growled.

"That girl is going to make me old before my time," she complained, and leapt after her.

"Yori, I want you to keep Hannah here, and….."

"Jump," Hannah squealed, and did just that.

"Man," Ron complained, and jumped after her as the little girl went bounding after the others.

"It would seem, Stoppable-San, that the Han is determined to join us."

"Bonnie is so going to kill me if she gets hurt," he groaned as he headed after them with Yori at his side.

"Where are they," Monte complained, looking around the courtyard where the YoNo had raised his temple, the stone statues of the ninja that tried to stop him all around them. "They should have been here by now."

"They are here," the YoNo, sitting on the top stop of his temple smirked. "Look with the eyes of your mind, or do you not feel the approach of Toshimiru."

"Of who," Monkey Fist complained. "Please, that man has been dead for…."

"Then you know nothing," the demon cut him off as Ron came bounding in the shattered gates, and looked around.

Fortunately, he had cut the others off, sent them to take flanking positions, and would be the primary distraction himself by facing Monkey Fist. He was, after all, the one the man hated more than anyone else. Then he locked his eyes on the dangling figure of Master Sensei.

"Monkey Fist," Ron spat as the lanky teen walked forward. "Dude, this time you are going down."

"Please," the British man sneered. "You may have unnatural luck, but you are no match for the true mystical monkey might that is now at my command."

Which was when Ron saw the demon stand.

"You actually bargained with that demon," he gasped. "Are you nuts? Don't you know what he will do to you?"

"It doesn't matter! Nothing matters except crushing you, and finally gaining my full might and power as the only true monkey king," he howled manically.

"Toshimiru," the demon murmured. "I look forward to destroying your current incarnation this time. And ending your infernal interference once, and for all."

"Don't think so…."

"Monkey ninjas, attack," Monkey Fist shouted, pointing at Ron who was walking toward them.

"You mean these guys," Kim asked, dropping to hang near the rope where Master Sensei had been. From her free hand dangled one of Fist's monkey ninjas, unconscious, or perhaps dead, the rogue ninja feared, as Kim dropped him before flipping down to land near him.

"Another acolyte," the demon sneered. "You do like throwing fodder in my way, Toshimiru," the monkey demon growled, and his eyes glowed as someone shouted, "Look out," and shoved Kim aside.

Even as the demon's optic blast seared Shego, and froze her midstep as she put herself between Kim, and the YoNo.

"Shego!"

Ron suddenly looked grimmer than ever as the demon glanced around, spotting Yori trying to get a limp, barely conscious Sensei to safety.

The sickly yellow light flashed again, and the pair both froze in place, suddenly stone.

"That is it. You are both going down," Ron shouted, and lunged forward.

Monte anticipated the leap, and moved at the same time, a palm strike catching Ron, and slamming him back through two statues before he landed in a heap. The smirking Monkey Fist stalked forward, raising powerful hands, one now holding a long, curved katana, and anticipated his impending victory.

Kim, meanwhile, looked from Shego, to the demon.

Her green eyes glittered, and she slapped her wrist even as the demon began to glow anew.

Right before Kim vanished.

The monkey demon blinked, surprised.

"What trickery is this? Does Toshimiru now command spirits, too?"

"Spirit this," a very angry voice hissed, and slammed a hard fist into the side of the monkey's head.

Who barely turned.

"Ah, there you are."

Kim yelped, the careless backhand flung her halfway across the courtyard, to land near Yori and Sensei who were frozen in stone.

She jumped up again, somersaulting away, still invisible behind her stealth cloak as the demon seemed to home in on her voice to blast the place she had landed just before she ducked.

She grimaced.

Okay, superstrong.

Laser eyes.

Maybe invulnerable.

So, how did you beat a demon? Too bad she couldn't ask Yori!

"Jump," Hannah's cheerful voice shouted even as Kim glanced over at Ron, who had fallen while Kim was distracted.

Monkey Fist stood over him with a deadly blade, about to decapitate him when Hannah's leap out of the darkness planted both feet in the man's slopping back, and drove him face first into the ground.

In the same instant, Hannah jumped again, and was lost back in the shadows.

Ron rolled away, regaining his senses in the same moment, and stared at Monte.

"How the YoNo thinks you are Toshimiru reborn is beyond me. You are nothing but a monkey pretender," he laughed. "And no child is going to help you defeat me this time," he said, raising his sword again.

In the same instant, Ron's eyes flashed cerulean, and a long, blue bolt of light filled his hand as he blocked the descending sword, and he began to duel with the manic monkey ninja that was clearly insane.

"I don't know….half of what you're babbling about, dude, but…..I know you are so going down," he spat.

The YoNo, not seeing Kim, or Hannah, turned his glowing gaze on Ron now, his eyes glowing brighter as he fought Monkey Fist, about to fire another burst of his petrifying energies.

Until Hannah landed on his back, leaned over to smile a drooling grin at him, and then jumped again.

A spinning foot leaving the small demon spinning dizzily as she launched herself into the air even as she snapped a kick to his head.

"I see," the YoNo growled as he stared at the toddler bounding up the side of his own temple with a playful giggle. "The Han has yet to mature as yet. All the better. She will be more easily beaten…"

"Beat this," Kim growled, and the YoNo spun, and only belatedly saw the long, wooden pillar swinging around to slam into his body, slamming him up into the side of his own temple.

He roared, and jumped back, his landing crushing the steps beneath his simian feet, and sending shockwaves across the compound.

Only the wooden pole was laying splintered to one side, and the redheaded shade was nowhere to be seen.

"I don't have to see you, to defeat you, female," he growled. "I'll simply sink this entire mountain into….."

"Jump," Hannah screeched, having dived off the top of the temple, and landing atop him again. This time, the force of her landing driving him into the ground, smashing his face into the ground deep enough to leave an imprint.

Ron continued to duel Monkey Fist even as Hannah toddled over, grabbed up a broken sliver of the thick log, and flung it unerringly at the possessed ninja.

"No," she shouted even as Monkey Fist's sword came in low, seeking Ron's belly when he couldn't quite find another opening.

Even as he saw that chance to gut the pretender, and swung the blow at the off-balance teen, the wooden sliver cut right into the back of his hand, knocking his sword from his hand, and spinning him around twice to whirl back into Ron's rising fist.

This time, Monkey Fist went flying.

Landing hard near the YoNo's feet after he stopped rolling.

Monte groaned, pushing himself up only slightly as Hannah grinned down at him.

"Beaten….by a…..baby," he moaned with heartfelt indignation, and fell flat, completely unconscious.

The YoNo surged to his feet as Ron ran over to stand by Hannah, the Lotus Blade still held ready in his hand.

"This combat is done. I have been defeated, Toshimiru. As has my avatar. The days is yours. Again," he growled a grudging complaint. "I should have known you would choose your allies wisely," he said as Kim appeared now, just behind Ron as she stepped up with him. "You ever did," he remarked curtly.

Ron said nothing as the demon suddenly began to levitate, and then vanished even as the glow around him swelled to pop like a bubble. When it did, there was no sign of him, or Monkey Fist.

"Where'd they go," Kim rasped as Ron scooped up Hannah, and hugged her, still holding the glowing Lotus Blade in one hand.

"I don't know about the weird monkey dude, but….."

They all looked up at the temple began to sink.

Kim gasped, seeing Monkey Fist on the top, frozen in stone himself.

She saw the temple steps sinking, with Shego staggering forward, and ran to drag her away from the sinkhole that was now swallowing the entire temple as it seemed to be vanishing into the ground. Then she eyed the statue of Monkey Fist, and looked to Ron.

"Ron, get him off there."

"Off? But….?"

"Ron, if he disappears, then he's probably coming back, right? Do you really want that happening without warning?"

Ron swung the blade, and the glowing sword flashed, cuting Monte from the sinking roof of the temple even as Kim fired her grapple, and pulled the statue down toward them. It landed hard, laying before them even as the temple vanished into the earth, and the hole sealed as if it had never been.

"Now, what," Kim was asked even as Kim gave a cry when Shego suddenly staggered, color returning to her body as she slowly returned to normal.

Along with all those around them.

"Shego," she cried, and ran to hug her as the woman slowly regained her feet after almost landing on her knees.

"What happened," she blinked, looking around, and seeing no sign of the weird temple, or the monkey freak.

"Hannah saved us," she grinned, eyeing the little girl. "She's really something."

"Yeah. A hero," Ron grinned at his daughter as all the ninja around him slowly came back to life.

"He'o," Hannah cheered with a wide grin.

"She is the Han," Yori said quietly, and walked up to them with Master Sensei, and the other students.

Then, as a whole, the entire school bowed to them.

Or maybe just to the Han.

Kim wasn't sure. She didn't care just then. She held onto Shego, and couldn't help but smile.

"Stoppable-San," Master Sensei said as he eyed Monkey Fist's petrified form after he realized it was laying nearby. "What happened here? Surely, with his defeat, the false master was claimed by the YoNo."

"Actually, uh, Kim thought we shouldn't let him get away."

The old master eyed Kim, and merely nodded.

"I leave the demon's avatar to you, Miss Possible. I only suggest you hide him well. Does the wrong one find him, he could yet unleash great harm upon our world."

"I have an idea," Kim told him quietly. "I just need your permission to bring my car up here."

"Your…..car," Hirotaka frowned.

"As aid to our champion, you may do as you see fit," Master Sensei told her. "So long as you understand the danger this creature represents."

"What about the YoNo?"

Sensei eyed Ron, and sighed.

"He will await his next summons. He is, after all, a demon. Which is why we must ensure the Han grows strong, and our students never forget their duty. In this generation, or the next."

Ron frowned.

"He called me Toshimiru," he said after a moment.

Sensei only smiled.

"Even demons can be wrong. On occasion," he said, and glanced up curiously as the sound of turbines filled the air over their heads.

"Your…..car," the man murmured, eyeing the flying vehicle just starting to settle after several of the students moved aside.

"Well, it started that way," Kim grinned.

"Indeed. I leave this to you. Stoppable-San, attend me, if you will. There is still much to discuss."

"Kim….?"

"Don't worry, Ron," Kim told him, walking around to attach the statue to a cable she pulled from her car. "I'll take care of the freak, and then come back for you guys. We won't be long," she said, jumping into the driver's seat, Shego in the passenger seat, Kim waving from the front seat as she lifted the Roth off the ground slowly, the chain holding the stone statue of the horrified Monkey Fist tightening before it was raising the statue off the ground. "I know just where to put it to make sure no one ever finds him again," Kim told Shego with a cold smile.

Yori followed Ron's stare as he watched the purple car fly off, the newest victim of the YoNo in tow under it, dangling by that short chain.

"The path of the YoNo is one doomed to destruction, Stoppable-San," she told him. "Had Monkey Fist truly been wise, he would have realized he had failed the moment he freed the demon."

"But what if someone else does find him," he asked. "What if he….comes back," he asked, holding his daughter close who still seemed oblivious to the danger she had been facing as she smiled trustingly at her father.

"You do not think Possible-San can hide him well?"

"Well, whatever else," Ron said, tearing his eyes from the improbable vehicle disappearing in the distance, willing the Lotus Blade away as he did. "I still trust Kim. If she says no one will find him, then I'm betting we won't be seeing Monkey Fist for a long, long time. Maybe ever. I hope."

"We can always hope," Yori agreed with a faint smile.

"That's fine with me," Ron complained. "I've had enough of this….prophecy stuff."

Yori shot him an knowing smile as Hannah giggled, and patted her father's face as if in sympathy.

Ron, wisely, said nothing.

"Let's go see what Sensei wanted. That way we can be ready to go when Kim gets back. I know Bonnie has to be chewing her nails off by now."

Yori only smiled.

"We're getting close to the coordinates, Wade," Kim said as she eyed the console, and followed the GPS marker she was being sent. "You sure this is the place? All I'm seeing is a whole lot of water."

"Positive, Kim," Wade replied through the dash-communication panel. "You should be seeing it about now. Look to your right."

"There," Shego pointed. "I see it. But how can you be so sure it's not about to erupt? I didn't think anyone could predict volcanic eruptions."

"Nobody else, maybe," Wade huffed. "If the USGS would listen to me, we would already have a global survey of every potential eruption site for the next five years at the least. Trust me, Shego. In three hundred years, this thing is going to blow. Until then, that means there is a very deep, very active magma pool in that crater. Just what you ordered, Kim."

"You're really going to drop him in there," Shego asked her. "I mean, even stone…."

"He's enchanted stone," Kim reminded her. "According to Yori, the YoNo cannot be destroyed. Just freed. We bury him deep enough, and maybe it will be a very long time before anyone else ever digs him out again. Especially since we're not going to share where we stashed him."

"Obviously," Shego said. "Facing those freaks once was enough," she said, still shuddering at the most unlikely of all battles with a three foot monkey-demon.

"Agreed," Wade nodded curtly from the small screen. "It's why I agreed with Kim's decision. Ron, and his daughter will likely have enough issues facing them in the years ahead without this guy popping up again. Just remember, even your engines can't take prolonged exposure to the smoke plume bound to be rising…."

"Thick, and gray out here," Shego nodded.

"Right. So, in and out, and run like….heck," Kim grinned. "No big."

Shego grumbled.

"Someday, Princess, I'm going to delete those words from your brain."

Kim only laughed as she flew down toward the volcanic cone rising out of the Pacific.

At least this was going to one more bad guy unlikely to be rising again anytime soon.

She smiled coldly as she considered others.

"Next," she said, after diving in, releasing the statue, chain and all, and flying out before the ash could clog her engine filters.

"Next," Shego asked.

Kim smiled.

"You don't really think I'm stopping with him, do you? There are still a lot of posers that need a little….reeducation. You in?"

"I guess I might as well be," Shego grinned after a moment's thought. "They do seem to keep coming after me anyway since Jack put that bounty on our heads. I might as well meet them head-on."

"So, partners?"

"Won't Dr. D frown on your being…..well, a vigilante again? Not to mention, she's likely to be after you all the more just now with your new upgrade."

"I'm not worried about her either way. In the end, she knows who, and what I am. Besides, what she doesn't know….."

"You know, Princess," Shego smiled a very familiar smirk just then. "I like the way you think. Let's go get 'em."

"Not just yet. You still owe me a date," Kim grinned as they left the remote volcano behind.

Shego smiled, and nodded. "Let's get the buffoon home to face his wife, and then I'm going to show you how grownups like to party."

"I can't wait," Kim smiled, and turned back the way they had come.

End…?
