It was always difficult to visit Terra. The six teens moved in a somber procession. Starfire had flowers, her feet firmly on the ground. She'd had trouble flying since Terra had...died. The whole team showed their grief in their own ways. Beast Boy through his isolation. Rose was more irritating and immature than usual. Terra had been a Titan, a formidable enemy, and a girl with tremendous power. She had been their friend.
The group stopped in front of the statue. Terra stood frozen in stone, her arms splayed out to the side, her eyes fixed forever to the middle distance.
"I shall miss you friend," Starfire said softly, placing the bouquet of roses at Terra's feet.
"We'll be searching for a way to reverse the effect," Raven promised their petrified friend.
"We'll bring her back," Robin vowed.
"Someday," Cyborg amended.
Then the group pulled back, letting Beast Boy have his time with Terra. They could hear him confess, "I'll never forget you Terra." the plaque beneath her feet gleamed, as though she appreciated the sentiment, and the team left the subterranean area.
"Must you leave?" Starfire asked Rose as the girl with the white hair pulled a helmet on her head. She was planning to leave after they'd dedicated Terra's space. The team knew that, even if they weren't terribly happy to see her go.
"Yeah, you don't have to go," Cyborg reminded her with a grin.
Rose shook her head. "I need to move on," her gaze slid to the cave entrance Beast Boy was exiting. "You guys are pretty cool, and all, but I just..." feelings were hard when you were a Wilson. She shook her head instead. "I'm out of here."
"Call us if you ever need us," Robin reminded her, placing a friendly hand on her shoulder in farewell. Rose nodded her understanding, and revved up her motorcycle. The team watched as the girl's form got smaller and smaller as she moved farther away. They turned when she was barely visible, ready to hop back into the T-Car, maybe get some pick-me-up pizza. Robin stalled, though, watching until the tiny blip on the horizon that was Rose Wilson vanished from sight.
She was the last tangible reminder of the past few months. Too bad the memories couldn't go with her.
"Yo, Rob," Cyborg called. "You coming?"
Robin turned towards his friends. They waited expectantly by the T-Car. At least he had the Titans. Their leader smiled and strode forward. "Always," Robin informed them, opening the car door and slipping in shotgun.
And with that, the Teens drove off to pizza, movie nights, and many, many more adventures.
