In the weeks following the announcement of a new baby Wills, although Jacqueline and Theo seemed to have adjusted to the news of an added sibling, there were still times when one or both would let their concerns of being left alone slip out. One of those times happened to be today. Julia had decided to take the twins toy shopping for a gift she needed to be just right for Peter's nephew. Wanting to make a good impression the red-head felt getting the opinion of two children the same age would put her at an advantage. Loving to spend time with their Aunt and never shy about expressing their opinion Theo and Jaqueline jumped at the offer.

Little did their Aunt know however, that two hours later a suggestion of buying something for their new baby sibling would trigger a flood of tears. Ever respectful neither twin acted out in the store but both upon selecting a toy for Peter's nephew suddenly grew very quiet when approaching the baby section. Attempting to engage them in conversation by pointing out items the writer felt were so adorable and would be loved by a baby, Julia instead made the children withdraw even more. Making her purchase the trio headed to the writer's apartment where Peter had supper waiting. The couple had told Derek and Karen to enjoy an evening offering to watch Theo and Jaqueline overnight.

When supper passed in unusual silence Peter had had enough. He was not a person to sit back and watch things play out, no, he was a man of action so with that mind set, he found Theo and Jacqueline drawing in the living area. "What are you drawing?" he asked trying to look over their shoulder. Brother and sister sharing the same paper. "It's the baby," Jacqueline was the first to answer. Lifting the paper to the man she considered an uncle, Peter could see a crib with lots of people standing around it and gifts stacked high to one side.

"Wow, that's pretty good," he said, "that's a lot of people and gifts is it a party?" he questioned.

"Yes," Theo answered. "Everyone keeps telling mummy and daddy how they can't wait to see the baby." He answered. "It even has presents already."

"Where are you in the picture," he asked, "I don't see anyone little like you and Jaqueline."

"We aren't in the picture," the little blond girl answered. "No one wants to see us anymore. They only want to see the baby in mummy's tummy or clap daddy's back. "

"Not even the baby is happy to have us around, it won't kick when we touch mummy's stomach." Theo's piercing green eyes starting to pool with unshed tears as he spoke. Blinking rapidly the little boy brushed the back of his hand hard against his eyes to keep from crying. Julia who had been listening from the doorway entered and sitting next to Peter motioned for both twins to come over.

"You've bought a new toy before, right?" Julia asked.

"Yes, I got a new soccer ball and Jaqueline got a new doll two weeks ago." Theo answered with a nod of approval from his sister.

"When you got the new ball and doll did you play right away with them?" she inquired

"Yes, Jasper and me played in the back yard with Daddy and I played with Molly and mummy." The twins answered together. "Molly is my new dolly." The little girl clarified.

"And what happened with your old ball and your old dolls?" Peter asked. "Do you still play with them?"

"Yes, I use both balls so when Jasper chases one I can still play with the other." Theo answered.

"Molly has tea with Bridget, she's my old dolly. They're friends now." Jaqueline replied.

"Do you love both Molly and Bridget the same?" Julia asked hoping the answer was the one she needed to make her point.

"Yes, I only played with Molly by herself for a little while cuz she was new and needed me to let her know not to be afraid. Bridget already knew cuz she sleeps with me."

"And I like my new ball cuz it has more air but my old ball is better when I want to play catch with Jasper."

"Well," Peter started "A baby is like a new toy don't you think?" The twins thought about what they had just been asked and looking at one other they nodded yes.

"You mean the baby is like Molly?" Jaqueline asked. "It needs more attention so it won't be afraid?"

Happy the twins had followed her logic Julia answered "That's exactly what I mean. People don't love or want the baby more than they love or want you, it's just that you're bigger. You already know how much everyone loves you and you aren't afraid anymore."

"Daddy says he and mummy's hearts are big enough to hold enough love for all three of us," Theo stated "Do you think it will still be big enough when the baby grows. What if Jacqueline and me use up to much love."

"A mummy and daddy can never run out of love," Peter assured as he hugged the little boy tighter.

"Theo and I are littler, what if our heart isn't big enough and some of our love for mummy, daddy and the baby leaks out," Jaqueline questioned her voice full of concern.

"I promise you no matter how small your heart is, it will always be big enough to hold enough love." Julia smiled willing her own tears to keep from falling. It still amazed her how innocent children were and she was in awe of the job her dear friends were doing in raising such caring and compassionate children.

"Aunt Julia," the twins called studying her face as a lone tear fell. "We didn't mean to make you sad," Theo said. "Our heart has love for you and uncle Peter too. We promise." Jacqueline added as she reached to dry the tear.

"I'm not crying because I'm sad, I'm crying because you make me so very happy. You remind me of when Leo was little just like you." The twins smiled kissing both adults on the cheeks before returning to add themselves in the picture.

"You're amazing you know," Peter complimented before placing a kiss to his girlfriend's lips.

"You aren't so bad yourself." She smiled with a kiss of her own.
