A/N: Just a little something that came to mind. Challenged myself to write it in 5 minutes and this was the end result!
He got down on one knee, producing a small, black box from his coat pocket while his petite brunette stood in front of him totally gobsmacked. He watched as her hands rose from her sides towards her face to cover her mouth. Her eyes widened a considerable amount. He always loved her surprised expression. He gave her his 'Host Club' smile, but obviously this smile was more genuine than the ones he would wear during the club.
"Tamaki, I..-" she began. She was speechless. He gave a low hum before speaking.
"Haruhi," he began. At this point his nervousness was clear as his heart began to race at a speed that should be impossible. "I don't know what else to say except I love you. I love you so much, Haruhi. You are so effortlessly radiant. I love the way you're an independent spirit yet you still come to me for help. I love your laugh. When you look at me from the side and give me a smile, it melts me inside.
If you hadn't walked through those music room doors and we never met that day, I would have never experienced true love. You've helped me discover another side to myself, Haruhi. You complete me. I love how you put up with my stupid antics. I love your eyes. I love... I just love everything about you. There's just one thing I'd like to change about you."
"And what's that?" she whispered, tears of happiness were building up in her eyes.
He opened the box to reveal a small, silver ring. It had a single diamond that reflected beautifully in the light. "Your last name," he chuckled. "Haruhi Fujioka, will you marry me?"
Haruhi laughed. She took a few steps towards him. "That was so cheesy," she muttered, giving him a mischievous smile. "Yes!"
Tamaki remained expressionless for a few moments. He tried to register what she just said. Did she just say yes? She just said yes.. TO ME. He beamed from ear to ear as he slipped the ring on her finger. He stood up and wrapped his arms around her.
"I love you, Tamaki," she said, reaching up to plant a soft kiss on his lips. She giggled.
"What's so funny?" he asked.
"Good luck telling my father."
