A/N: Heyyo! What's up peeps. It's been a while, but I'm about to give ya another dose of this real good story. I've been doing some thinking, and I came to a conclusion. I'm not gonna be able to come up with Ideas for this story by myself, because it gets hard to focus and remember what's what when you have 3 other stories to do. Thus, I want to start a small writing group; just me and 4 people. If you want to be part, well, the requirements will be on the bottom of this chapter, so I'll let you guys see that when it comes.
Here, to thank you for sticking it this long, let's answer some reviews... Wait I didn't get any... Oh well, this one will probably elicit a lot, so I'm not that worried.
Anyways, How have you guys been? I haven't really updated that much for this story, and I'm really sowwy. I know how much you guys love this story.
Skye) pfft, yeah right
Blue) Skye, stop being rude!
Skye) oh I'm not being rude, I'm being real!
Terra) what's the difference?
Skye+Blue) Grey Terra! When did you get here?
Terra) well, it wouldn't be much of a chapter without me!
Wait, what? No! You were never here! Shoo, you manifestation of my imagination! Shoo until thou art called for! Sorry about that guys, here's the next chapter!
I turned back to Rainbow Dash as Twilight left, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie in tow. "Why'd she leave so suddenly? And who's she gonna send a letter too?" She just shrugged.
"Ifn Ah had to guess," Applejack said, narrowing her eyes," she's gonna send it to her little perfect Princess again." Rainbow Dash just groaned.
"C'mon, AJ, are you still on that?" She said, her voice a little strained.
"Ahm tellin ya, she's got sumn ta do with my crops in de east fields failing, ah know it! Ever since Ah found out about how she made us become the elements..."
"Ohmigod, AJ, Celestia is not just using us because we're special." Dash said, getting up in AJ's face. "She wasn't the one that gave us the elements! It was our destiny!"
Now, when ever you see two girls fighting, you either do two things; step out of the way and watch or whip out your phone. There is one unspoken rule about cat fights, though. Never break them up. This can lead to excessive heroism, outside-inflicted pain, and horrible mental trauma.
Me being the idiot that I am, decided to forget that rule and got inbetween the two. "Ladies, Ladies, there is no need to cause a scene over this. Why don't we finish the tour, eh? I believe there were a few more places you wanted me to see?" Dash jerked out of her head-to-head staring (or, should I say, glaring) contest with Applejack.
"Oh yeah! There was BonBon's shop and Carrot top's booth... I guess we could go see Rarity too..." She wandered out of the door, still babbling about places she wanted to take me.
Whelp, that's one way to break up a fight. I chuckled, shaking my head as I turned toward AJ. She was still staring at something, but her eyes were no longer angry. I went up to her, looking deep into her eyes. She didn't react, so I was guessing that she was staring off into space. Her eyes... I could see immense sorrow in them, like someone close to her had died. Then I remembered...
'Ahm tellin ya,she had sumn ta do with my crops in de east fields failin, Ah just know it!'
Her crops... "AJ." I said. She snapped her head back, her eyes widening in surprise at my close proximity, before she retracted her head into it's normal position. (Right in front of mine, if you must know.) I wrapped her in a hug, and I could feel her muscles tense underneath her skin. "It's okay," I said, patting her back. "We all go through struggles, and I understand that your going through some right now. For as long as I'm here, I'll help you get through it, like any friend would."
She didn't relax though, like I thought she would.
"Why?"she said, confused. "We aren't even really friends! We've barely known each other more than a few hours or so."
You weren't saying that when you let me climb dat tree, though. "Heh, Rainbow Dash said the same thing." I pulled back to see her eyes. They were looking at me, suspicion just barely hidden in them. "You guys have been nothing but nice to me this whole time. Rainbow Dash saving my life from a squishy end. Twilight Sparkle giving me a place to stay. All of you guys giving me this tour when you could be chasing me out of the town for being different and possibly dangerous. I don't think that anyone that wasn't a friend would do that for someone else. That's why I think of you guys as my friends, even if we haven't known each other for that long." I gave her another hug, and this time she returned it, and I smiled.
As I pulled away, though, I found that I was stuck. AJ didn't want to let me go.
After a few minutes, she let go. "Thank you," she said. "You're always welcome on da farm."
Just as I was getting ready to answer, Que Rainbow Dash. "You guys comin or what?"
AJ straitened her Stetson and gave a short laugh. "Yeah, yeah, we're comin, hold yer horses," she looked over to me, her eyes suddenly uncertain.
"We'll talk later," I whispered. She nodded, and we headed out of Sugarcube Corner.
"Well, that was certainly an experience," I said, walking towards a big, purple carousel like building, slightly traumatized. "Who would have thought that anyone could get that way over these?"
"Well, she always was a little kooky..." Dash said, trying hard not to laugh. AJ was just blushing up a storm.
If you were wondering what happened, well, it gets pretty strange. After leaving Sugarcube Corner, Dash brought us to the town bazaar. We met a mare called Carrot Top, who sold, you guessed it, tomatoes. No, wait, I mean carrots. Anyways, we met some other vendors, then went over to a candy shop, which was freakin huge. I met BonBon, who was actually pretty cool. She even gave me a free bag of candy, which tasted awesome, even better than some of the stuff I had at earth. I asked her what was in it, and she said that all the candy she had was homemade with fresh ingredients and everything. I was astonished, and as we were leaving she promised to show me how she made her candy. Then, in walked Lyra.
Lyra... That minty mare is something else. She walked into the door, saw me, squeed very loudly, then freaking tackle-hugged me to the ground. I barely had time to register what had harmed before I saw that she was cuddling my hands. Before I could tell her to stop, she looked up at me with adorable doe eyes and a super bright smile and said,"Hi there mister! My names Lyra Heartstrings, and I just love your hands! I told everyone that humans were real, but they didn't believe me, but now they have to believe me and you know why? Cause you're the living proof that they're real!" She gave a giggle at that. I gave a look to my three companions to see that they were trying hard not to laugh at my situation. "Anyways, I was just wondering how they work exactly. I've only ever seen hands in books, but none show how it all works. Could you show me?" She closed her mouth and I waited a second to see if she would let me talk. When she didn't open her mouth, I opened mine.
"First off, it's a pleasure to meet you, miss Heartstrings, my name is Mark. Second, my hands have tendons in them that allow me to move my fingers, like this," she held the up with her magic, and that's when I noticed she had a horn. I wiggled my fingers, and she gave an excited squee, which I thought was adorable. "Third, if you have magic, then why don't you just turn into a human for a day?" Lyra's eyes blanked for a bit before her entire face lit up like a freaking sun as her horn charged up with a white light that I had to look away from. When I looked back at her, I gasped. In front of me was a black girl, probably about a little shorter than me. She had Lyra's hair scheme and eyes, which I found went well with her skin color. Then I looked down and blushed.
Lyra was just looking at herself in amazement. She slowly swung her arms out in from of herself, looking at them with wonder. Her fingers curled, and she felt herself, her face, her stomach, her arms, her... Boobs... Jesus Christ why did they have to be so big. She flinched when she touched them, but then started rubbing them in earnest once she felt how good they were. "What are these?" She asked, giving the nipples a nice tug.
I Swallowed. "Those are your mammary glands, or your breasts," I said. "The little nubs at the tips are your nipples."
"Oh," she looked at my shirt. "Do you have these too?" Before I could answer, she pulled up my shirt, seeing my nipples. "You do have some! Yours are smaller than mine though..." She started rubbing mine too, causing them to harden. I was slowly getting aroused, but I couldn't let that happen. I grabbed her hands, causing her to stop.
"Let's go back to you touching yourself," I said, yet instantly regretted it.
She gave me a sultry look before slowly reaching down. I thought she had noticed the very noticeable bulge down below, but she just cupped her moist, wet, dripping... Oh god... "You mean, like this?" She said, her voice dripping with lust. I promptly stood up fast, letting her fall on her rump. I picked up my shirt and ran to the door, vaguely aware of Rainbow dash laughing her ass off.
"I-I-i-I-IgottagoseeyoulaterBonBoncmonguysletsgo!" I said, running out the door. When I exited the candy shoppe, I put my shirt back on, then stood there, waiting on the others to come out. When the finally, finally came out, I had calmed down a little. "So, anyone wanna tell me what that was all about?" I said as we started walking away. Dash couldn't talk, she was too busy trying not to laugh. AJ was just blushing up a storm.
So yeah, a memorable first impression.
Anyways, we had made it to the big carousel building. I opened the door for the two mares, hearing a little chime go off. As we walked in, we heard a very high-class voice from the back say, "Welcome to Carousel Boutique, where everything is Chic and Magnifique! What can I do for- oh, hello Applejack, Rainbow Dash, how might I help you, darlings?" Out of the back came a unicorn. She was all white, with a very styled purple mane and tail. She had icy blue eyes that were so clear you could almost see through them.
Dash pointed with her hoof at me. "We were just showing this big guy here around PonyVille," she said.
I held up a hand in greeting. "Hello, ma'am. My name is Mark Winowsky, though everyone here just calls me Mark."
She looked at me as if she was noticing me for the first time. "Oh my word! How rude of me. My name is Rarity, darling, one of the best dressmakers in PonyVille. How do you do?" I kneeled down a bit and took her offered hoof, shaking it before giving it a light kiss.
"It's a pleasure to meet you madam," I said, standing up. She blushed lightly, and I just barely heard her mutter, "What a gentlecolt!" I walked on in, Rarity and the girls trailing behind me. I saw a multitude of dresses, all very beautiful. "Wow, Rarity, these dresses are something to behold," I said, gazing at each one.
"Oh, well, thank you darling! I always work really hard on my dresses so that they come out to be the best in the line!" Rarity said, her eyes shining at the praise. I walked over to another part of the room, still admiring all the pony clothes she had made. I walked up to a certain one and frowned. Rarity saw it and walked over. "What's wrong?" She asked.
"I don't know," I said, staring intently at the dress. "it just feels like there's something missing on this one." I sat down, just staring at the dress. It was all blue, with a white trim. It had emeralds in the trim, and a diamond at the chest part of the dress. Wait, emeralds? That's it! As I thought it, the emeralds in the dress slowly, gently came out, encompassed in a deep purple glow. I was vaguely aware of the same glow around myself, but that could wait. I slowly started concentrating, until I heard a pop and three gasps. I opened eyes that I didn't know that I had close to find that I had achieved my goal. I placed the newly changed sapphires into the slots where the emeralds had been. Just as the last one had been put into it's slot, the purple glow faded I was left standing there. Looking at the dress again. I heard a small shriek from behind me, and I turned in time to catch a certain white pony.
Just as I was about to ask what was wrong, she started hugging me. "Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I knew there was something wrong with that dress, but I couldn't figure it out! Emeralds, what was I thinking? Oh, you are such a life savor! I'm positive that Sapphire Shores will just love it! I just have one question, though," she looked up at me, her eyes voicing her slight confusion. "How exactly did you do that?"
I set her down. "I don't rightly know. Stuff like this has been happening all day."
"Really? Like how?" Rainbow Dash and AJ finally decided to make themselves known as they started explaining to Rarity what had been happening all day. I just sat, thinking. Why was all this happening to me? First the heater at home, then the weird occurrences on the way to the dump, the fire thing at said dump, then all the strange occurrences here in... Equestria. The name sounded vaguely familiar, but I couldn't quite place it. As I was sitting there, a white cat came out and sat itself in my lap, purring. I slowly petted it, stroking its fur and scratching it's ears lightly. After a few minutes of that, the cat's ears perked up, and it shot off into the other room just as a little filly came running in. She was white, like Rarity, only instead of heavily styled purple mane, she sported a curly pink, purple, and white mane.
"Opal! Where did you go- who're you?" She said, walking up to me. I waved at her.
"My name is Mark. What's yours?" I said. She looked surprised when I talked, then brightened up again.
"My name is Sweetie Belle! I'm living here with my big Sis Rarity," her face dimmed slightly. "I don't have my Cutie Mark yet, so I don't know what I'm supposed to do with my life, so I search everyday to find it with my friends! Together, with my friends Applebloom and Scootaloo, we form the Cutie Mark Crusaders!" She reared up at the last part, her smile wide. I smiled back and rubbed my ears. She had gotten pitchy throughout that little speech of hers, and while it was pretty adorable it also hurt to hear. Rarity had heard us, and was walking over.
"Sweetie Belle, darling, what did I tell you about playing in my creation room?" She asked.
Sweetie Belle looked down and said, "To not to."
"Right," Rarity said.
Sweetie Belle wasn't giving up, though. "But I wasn't playing! Or, at least, I was at first, but now I was just talking with Mister Mark!" I waved my hand again.
"Oh, well, okay then," Rarity walked away, back to talk to her friends. "Wow, Rarity never let's me just stay here. Thank you Mark!" She laughed a little.
"Your welcome, Sweetie. Now, from what I understand, your cutie Mark represents your job, right?" She nodded. "And you're job is something that you really like to do, right? Well, then, let's make a list of things that you like. Then you can figure it out," She gave a squee and ran out to find some paper and a writing utensil. The cat, Opal, poked it's head out of the door, seeing that Sweetie Belle was gone. It came over and started rubbing against my leg, purring. I looked around and saw a bag of kitty treats. I pulled one out and offered it to her politely. She daintily picked it up and started eating as I started petting her again.
We stayed like that until Sweetie came back. She lit up when she saw Opal, but a look from me was enough to calm her down. Soon enough, Opal got up, saw Sweetie Bell, and promptly ran out the room again. Sweetie sighed. "Why doesn't she like me? All I ever did was cut a little of her hair. I didn't even get my barber Cutie Mark!" I raised my eyebrow, but didn't respond. She sat down, handing me the paper and quill. A pot of ink came after. "Alright, so how is this gonna work, exactly?"
"Well, first let's list off some things you like to do," she went off on a long tangent on things she likes to do. I heard dancing, exploring, being like Rarity, hanging out with her friends, playing instruments, and a bunch of other stuff. Basically stuff she did in the past to get her Cutie Mark. "Okay, I heard a lot of things in that one sentence," which shouldn't be possible, "But I didn't hear one. Have you ever tried singing?" At the mention of this, she got really shy, and I could feel the eyes of the girls on me. Hmm, wonder why...
"I-I haven't tried singing yet..." She said. "I don't think I could handle all that attention."
"Well, why not try it without the attention?" She looked at me strangely. I patted my lap, and she came and sat down in between my legs. (Dirty minds, flee this place!) "Alright, now, close you're eyes and imagine yourself in a room with just me and you," I let her stew with that. "Now, how about I sing you a song, and then you sing me a song, okay?" I could barely feel her nod. I closed my eyes, thinking of the perfect song, before it bounced at me. I opened my mouth and started to sing a verse from Counting Stars by One Republic.
I see this life, like a swinging vine.
Swing my heart across the line.
In my face is flashing signs.
Seek it out and ye shall find.
Old, but I'm not that old.
Young, but I'm not that bold.
And I don't think the world is sold.
I'm just doin what we're told.
And I... Fell something so right,
doing the wrong thing
And I... Feel something so wrong,
doing the right thing
I couldn't lie, couldn't lie couldn't lie.
Everything that kills me,
Makes me feel alive.
Lately I've been, I been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be.
But baby, I've been, I been prayin hard.
Said no more counting dollars, we'll be, we'll be counting stars...
I tapered off, and heard a little clopping from Sweetie and the girls. I smiled, happy that they enjoyed it. "Alright, Sweetie, your turn," she started to shake, but it started stroking her hair, effectively calming her down as she leaned more onto me for support. She slowly opened her mouth, coughed, and said, very quietly,
"This is a song that I heard pinkie sing one day. It's called the Gypsy's Bard. I really liked it, so I asked her if she could give me the lyrics..." I nodded, and she started.
When your rife with devastation,
There's a simple explanation
You're a toy makers creation
Trapped inside a crystal ball.
And whichever way he tilts it,
Know that we must be resilient,
We won't let them break our spirits
As we sing our silly song.
When I was a little filly,
A galloping blaze overtook my city,
So they shipped me off to the orphanage,
Said ditch those roots if you wanna fit in,
But still I dug one thousand holes,
And cut a rug with orphan foals,
Now memories are blurred and their faces are obscured
but I still know the words to this song!
As she was singing, she steadily got louder, until she was singing at full tilt. She slowly stood up, and started dancing a little. Once she finished, she opened her eyes, those irises betraying the joy she had been feeling as she sang. She looked up at me, slightly out of breath. I chuckled and set my hand on her shoulder. "I think you should probably stick with singing," I said. She slowly nodded before trotting out of Rarity's creation room. I turned to catch three gazes that had been strained on me before they hurriedly got back into their conversation.
I just smiled and sat back down, back against the wall as I waited for them to finish.
"So, Mark," Rainbow Dash said a few minutes later, walking up to me. "Since this is the end of the tour, we want to know... What do you think of PonyVille?"
I stared back at her for a second, thinking, before I said, "I personally love this little village you have here. It's got tons of... Ahem... Colorful people, lots of sites to see, and hardly anything bad ever happens." Right after I said that, though, we heard a tremendous roar. We ran outside, the same question in each of our minds. 'What was that?'
We stopped as we got out of the store. Coming out of the Everfree was a creature. It's scales were green, and it had 6 heads. 3 of them were spraying things with a liquid, while the other was spewing fire. "Is that a fucking Hydra?!" I asked. Dash nodded her head. I just sighed, then turned towards Dash. "Alright, Rarity, you go get Twilight. Rainbow, how fast can you fly?"
She grinned. "I broke the sound barrier and preformed a Sonic Rainboom. Twice."
"Alright, I want you on the sky. Kick it, hoof it, do whatever you need too, just make sure you do it in the air," I turned towards AJ. "AppleJack, how good are you with a rope?"
She smirked. "You're looking at the critter rustling champion 'ere, Mark," She said.
"Alright, when we have it almost defeated, I want you to tie its heads together, okay?" She nodded. I pulled my sword out, holding high in the air above my head. "Alright, Super Hydra Extermination Squad, let's move!" They all gave me the look. You know, the one that says,"You're such a fucking idiot." I looked back at them, genuinely smiling.
"What? I've always wanted to say something like that."
A/N: Skye) hey guys, Sorry that Sky isn't here. He had to go stuff The other guy back until next chapter. He'll be back before the end of the authors notes, though. I promise.
Blue) Anyways, how did you like this chapter. Sky really couldn't think of anything good for Rarity's little power, so I gave him the idea to use gemstones and such. The idea started pretty well, but ended awesome! Plus, a cliffhanger! Who can guess what will happen next? Five bits says you won't even get close.
Pfft, I want my five bits. I'll always be able to guess what's in the next chapter, cause I'm the author!
Blue) Too true, too true... *hands over five bits*
Right. *Pockets the bits.* Anyways, this chapter was a bit hard. I had to do some things that I'm not too proud of, and I'm sorry for you guys who can read between the lines and figure out what's going on behind the scenes. Just, don't hate me.
Alright now that that's out the way, we can end-
Skye) Yo, Idiot, you forgot something.
What?
Blue) the requirements for the group thing.
Oh yeah! Okay so, the group will contain 5 people including me, so that means that there are 4 spots open. I would prefer if one of the spots was a writer/artist, though that is completely optional. Here are the basic requirements:
1) you must have a legit Fanfiction account.
2) you must be able to edit and proof-read.
3) you must have at least 3 stories out.
4) you must be able to speak English. If you are bi or trilingual, than you can teach its some other languages too.
5) you must have a Skype account. (Actually, this one is optional, though it would be preferred if you had one.)
If you are looking to become a member, send me a PM with your name, the names of the stories you've written, the amount of languages you speak, and your Skype name.
Alright! Now, bear in mind that my Youtube channel will be starting up soon, and I may want to showcase you guys on there too, so you can't be shy! Other than that, if you get picked, then expect a really fun, goofy, serious, and downright hilarious time, as that's the type of person I am. Did I miss anything else, Blue?
Blue) Nah, that seems to be about it.
Sweet. Well, this is Sky, Skye, and Blue Typhoon sighting off for now. See you guys later!
Skye) See ya later!
Blue) Bye!
