Haruhi still couldn't see anything. Twin patches covered her eyes and prevented her from being able to even tell if she could see. The doctor requested that she wear the patches for a while to allow her eyes to heal and not become damaged by premature exposure to the elements. Even after she was suppose to wear sunglasses so she wouldn't damage her eyes with UV rays. At this point, it wasn't too much of an issue for her. She had been blind for enough time to know exactly how to get around.

Her friends had visited her when she was only during the surgery, but stayed clear when she was at home. However, that was more to do with her father getting irritated by them all crowding their tiny apartment and making noise so she couldn't get any rest more than anything. Of course, she was pretty thankful for the ability to actually rest when she felt tired or her eyes ached.

Yuu had been a loving companion during this time and had stayed by her side as much as possible. It was a bit crowded with the large dog in their apartment, and the landlady was not too pleased with the fact that they brought an animal. Thankfully, Yuu wasn't one to bark and she was happier with that arrangement after the first couple days than she had been before.

Haruhi received work from the school to her house as she waited for her eyes to heal. She would continue going to the school until she graduated knowing that her vision would be spotty until her eyes fully adjusted to being able to see again. It would take a while, she knew, and afterwards she would be going to the top school in Japan to become a lawyer like her mother before her. It filled her with hope that she would be able to see again, but she knew either way that she would be an awesome lawyer with or without her sight.

Yuu yipped gently, and pawed at the floor by the door to the room. Haruhi hit a button to tell her the time and sighed, "I just let you out less than half an hour ago, and do you need another walk?"

Before the dog could respond, the door slid open rapidly scaring Yuu. Once he recovered he barked and skidded out of the room. Haruhi could hear his tail whacking against the wall and his heavy panting. Someone was over. However, no one said anything. The one who opened the door grabbed her arms. "Haruhi!" her father cheered out happily, spinning her around giving her vertigo. "It's officially time for you to take your patches off!"

"Oh?" she asked as her head stopped spinning, she brushed the bangs from where they brushed against her nose. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, yes! Of course I am! It's time!" he cooed happily, shooing his daughter into the living room. He poked and prodded until she sat down. "I have everything ready for you! Sunglasses to help with your light sensitivity, the eye drops to help stop irritation –"

"Thanks Dad," Haruhi interrupted before he could go on and on about all the risks that her doctor had told her before and after the surgery. Those risks didn't scare her; nothing really scared her about this situation. It did make her uncomfortable to have to remove the patches during the day. She had hoped it would be during the night so she could adjust to minimal light and work her way up to brighter light. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to do that and had to do it during the day.

Haruhi was actually nervous about taking off the patches and discovering that her surgery had failed. "It would probably be easier to do this tomorrow morning."

Yuu barked as her father sighed dramatically, "Don't put this off, Haruhi, what if delaying damages your eyes? What would we do then?"

She could tell that Yuu was feeding off the excess energy that was pooling off of her father. He was practically bouncing around the apartment in excitement for something Haruhi was sure he didn't understand. She reached out and Yuu bumped his head into her hand before settling down with his head on her knee. As she ran her fingers through his fur she could feel his body quiver with excitement and stroked his fur until he was calm again.

"Fine, I'll do it."

Haruhi reached up and carefully felt for the edges of the tape. She worked gently at the edge until it came loose and she was able to pull it down. Keeping her eyes closed, she removed the gauze from her skin.

It was like having a bright light shone into your closed eyes. Irritating and hurting all at the same time. She heard her father leap up and the sound of something covering the kitchen blinds before the room behind her closed eyes darkened. Sunglasses were pressed into her hands and she immediately placed them onto her eyes to block the light significantly.

Taking a deep breath she began to slowly open her eyes. The light still irritated her eyes enough to cause tears to well up and drip down her cheeks. She reached up to brush them away when someone else did it for her. She could see a dark figure in front of her through her tear blurred vision and knew it wasn't her father. The doctor had recommended not rubbing her eyes and so she blinked away the tears until her vision cleared.

In front of her was a man. He had dark hair, steel grey eyes, and a strong face. He was tanner than most men she had seen before her accident.

She blinked in surprise.

The corner of his mouth raised slightly, just a barely conceived motion that took Haruhi a moment to realize that it was probably his version of smiling. His face had a subdued amount of expression, but his eyes shone with worry, happiness, and something else she couldn't place. His fingers weren't on her face any longer, but resting on his lap instead. It took her a moment to realize that she had checked him out in front of her father and looked towards him.

He wasn't wearing his normal okama outfit, but his long red hair was pulled back and tied. He grinned happily at her and she didn't see a single thing out of place. She smiled at him in return.

She noticed another person when they shifted in an impatient manner. A small blonde boy with big honey coloured eyes. The smile on his face was barely being contained, and so was he. He looked ready to burst up from where he sat.

Her father started to cry, "My baby can see again," he sobbed, grabbing her into a tight hug.

Haruhi returned the hug for a bit before glancing back towards the others, her eyes burned slightly and she reached up and gently pressed her sleeve to the corner of her eyes to try to stop them from watering. Her father let her go and offered to help her with her eye drops. She shook her head.

"Hello," she dipped her head in a small bow towards the other two, deciding that she had ignored their presences enough. Who were they?

"Hello."

Her heart jumped and she froze. That was Takashi's voice.

She stared at the man in front of her as she opened her mouth to respond, the boy jumped up.

"Haru-chan!"

She jumped, startled before Mitsukuni collided with her and brought her into a tight hug. "I'm so happy for you!" he cheered, rubbing his cheek against hers. "This is so amazing! We should all go out for cake to celebrate!"

Haruhi laughed, smiling at him. "It's not that big of a deal, we don't need cake."

"Yes we do!" Mitsukuni informed her, releasing her from his grip and shaking his head at her in a scolding way. He was every inch of what she imagined he would be. "We should have a party!"

"There is no more Host Club;" Haruhi reminded him gently, "You two will be going into College and University."

"We'll have a party at my house."

"That sounds like a splendid idea!" Ranka declared, "We could have mini deserts and it could be held before you all go back to school!"

Mitsukuni cheered his agreement and launched immediately into making plans with Haruhi's father. What kind of cakes and the theme of the party. Everything under the sun that would be involved in the making of a party the two of them started to discuss.

Haruhi allowed her gaze to fall back on Takashi. A soft smile formed on her lips.

"I was right."

His eyebrow rose slightly, "How?"

"You were as handsome as I knew you were" she answered simply before leaning forwards and pressing her lips gently to his. She could feel his smile beneath her lips.

She knew then that it wouldn't have matter if she got her eyesight back or not. The only thing that mattered was that her friends were happy, she was on her way to graduate, and she was beginning to feel the warmth of love spread through her, all because of one year at Ouran High School for the Disabled.

A/N: Hey guys! I'd like to thank you for reading through the entire story of Make The Clock Reverse!

I'd also like to thank you all for reviewing and giving me positive and constructive feedback!

Gosh, I could probably write 2,000 words just to thank everyone for everything during the writing of this story and helping me push through!

However, I'd like to send a big thank you to Emo-Shukun for helping me actually get this idea out from my head and pound out the more minor details of the story. Without her, I probably wouldn't have ever posted this story!

P.S.: I lied about not writing another Ouran fic. I'm doing a fic request for someone, and will probably write it and post it before July! I will also most likely returning to 'Life's Biggest Blessings Are Little Ones'. So..woo! Going back on my word!
