Author's Note: Hello everyone! Queen50 and I have finally finished writing the third installment COEFTM, or Confessions, if you prefer to call it. We are truly procrastinators... Haha. We're really sorry for the year and a half wait. (We were distracted by school and Kpop, cough. Any Kpop fans out there? :D)

This RoWen story is really cheesy as well, but also really fluffy. RoWen may not be an immensely popular pair, but I still hope you guys enjoy this chapter! Again, sorry for the wait. We'll be working on GaLe next, and then Jerza, and finally Cappy (Carla x Happy)! ...It might take us a while though LOL.

A guide to the Japanese phrases we used:

(Correction: previously, we said that baka means idiot, but a reviewer alerted us that it means fool. Thanks! We've fixed it.)

-nii: suffix meaning older brother

-kun: suffix attached at the end of a young child and most commonly a boy's name for affection

neko: cat

arigato: thank you

-chan: suffix attached to the end of a child's name and most commonly a girl's name for affection

nakama: friend, comrade

Disclaimer: Queen50 and I do not own Fairy Tail. If we did, all our ships would be canon ;)

Confessions of Embarrassed Fairy Tail Mages

Chapter 3: RoWen/Begin

It was quiet in the guild for once, but that clearly wouldn't last long. Flinging open the door and disrupting the rare peace, Natsu burst in with Lucy's fingers entwined in his. His eyes were shining as he called for Fairy Tail's attention. "Yo, everyone! Lucy's my girlfriend now, so back off!"

The blonde at his side reddened. "Natsu! Why'd you do that?" She swatted his arm with affection.

"Dating is so manly!" bellowed Elfman, offering his version of approval. Following his lead, the other mages began shouting out their thoughts too.

"Looks like Slanty Eyes finally got a girlfriend! Who would've thought he'd actually use that flame brain of his?"

"Took you long enough! You know how long I've been trying to get you two together? I deserve a piece of cake for this..."

"Congratulations! Now Juvia doesn't have to worry about her love rival!"

"Nice going, Natsu-nii!" Romeo called out to his idol. Next to him, the sky dragon slayer giggled and beamed at the duo, swinging her legs.

"Romeo-kun, you know I did that?" Her glee was almost palpable.

"Did what?" The boy knit his brows, confused.

"I got them together! Hehe," the girl squealed.

"Really? That's awesome, Wendy. I wish I could be like him. Now he's even got an awesome girlfriend…" he said with sigh of veneration.

"A girlfriend? Do you want one too?"

"Never really thought much about it. I don't know, to be honest."

"I don't have a clue either," she laughed. "But seeing people together makes me happy. Especially since I was the match-maker this time!" Wendy squealed again at the result of her love advice.

"Don't turn into another Mira, Wendy," Romeo teased playfully. The bluenette laughed before waving goodbye and heading out to begin her training for the day, Carla by her side.

Hours later at Fairy Tail's training center...

What's taking Wendy so long? Romeo wondered. She's been training for way longer than usual.

Curious, Romeo decided to investigate. It wasn't hard to figure out where she was. After all, a sky dragon slayer should be at the open air arena, where she could replenish her energy by eating the air around her. He sat down in the top row of seats, so that he could get a clear view of his friend.

"Roar of the Sky Dragon!" Romeo had arrived just in time to see a powerful blast of air demolish a dummy. Not pausing to take a break, Wendy whipped around and unleashed another forceful attack. "Wing Slash of the Sky Dragon!" Another line of dummies crumbled. Breathing heavily, she turned to her white Exceed companion. who was hovering in the air next to her. "How was that, Carla?" she asked, beaming.

"You almost have it. Been practicing pretty hard lately, eh?" Carla commented. "Why all the sudden training?"

Wendy blew a blue strand out of her face. "It's not random… It's just Natsu-san and Gajeel-san are such powerful dragon slayers. They pour their soul into everything and give it their best shot even when times are tough - especially when times are tough. I want to be like that too!" Her eyes were sparkling. "I'm a dragon slayer! I'll prove to everyone just how strong Fairy Tail is!" Despite how tired she was, her confident voice rang across the room. "Again, Carla!"

Carla frowned, crossing her arms. "Wendy, you haven't taken a break at all. Maybe you should -"

"I'm not stopping until it's perfect!" Wendy exclaimed, pausing only to suck in a mouthful of air. "I've got my energy back now. I'll be fine, Carla! Don't worry about me!"

She faced the next line of dummies. "Secret Dragon Slayer Art! Shattering Light: Sky Drill!" A formidable wind barrier rose and encircled the dummies. With her next movement, the barrier contracted, crushing the dummies with ease. Again and again she released the attacks until she had completely honed the skill.

Woah. Romeo thought. She's…freaking amazing. He couldn't help but compare her to Natsu-nii. The look in her eyes could not be mistaken - determination, strength, spirit. All three qualities that he admired best in Natsu were now present within the young dragon slayer. Wendy...

Eventually, the last dummy fell. Spinning in a circle, Wendy surveyed the decimated surroundings with pride, her chest heaving. In doing so, she finally noticed her audience.

"Romeo-kun!" Wendy gasped, flushing tomato red. "How long have you been sitting there?"

Shell-shocked, the raven-haired boy couldn't utter a word in response. He sat there, paralyzed, his mouth forming a perfect circle. This girl… He would never see her in the same light again. Coincidentally, the cloud that had been covering the sun suddenly passed over, allowing bright rays to illuminate the area. Wendy was bathed in golden sunlight, her cerulean hair gleaming.

"Are you okay?"

Romeo blinked, focusing in on Wendy waving her hand in front of his face. "Ah! When did you climb all the way up here?"

"A few minutes ago. I was calling your name for a while but you didn't answer."

He scratched the back of his neck, sheepish. "Oh. I must've…zoned out for a bit. Sorry, I need to go now. Don't wear yourself out too much! See ya!" He bolted back into the guild, heart racing.

Wendy stared blankly after him. "What was that about, Carla?"

The cat shrugged. "Who knows?"

Breaking into Natsu's house…

"Natsu-nii!" Romeo called, throwing open the wooden door and sprinting to his idol, who was pouring himself a glass of water. The pink - "SALMON! I THOUGHT I ALREADY SAID THIS!" - haired man turned around.

"Oi, Romeo! What are you doing in my house?" the dragon slayer questioned, grinning. Happy let out a groan, sliding out in a heap from behind the door that Romeo had just slammed.

"How'd you get Lucy to like you?" he asked blatantly.

Natsu spit out the water he had been sipping right onto Romeo's face. "What?!" he blurted, surprised. "I burned her a picture, I think."

Wiping off the water droplets from his face, Romeo frowned. "But I suck at drawing."

The Exceed snickered, recovered from his door injury. "Trying to impress someone?"

"Uh..." Romeo drifted off, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

"Oh! I know! Why don't you use pick up lines?"

The duo stared at Happy in confusion. "What are pick up lines? Something you use to grab stuff off the floor?" Natsu knit his eyebrows.

Happy flew in a circle around their heads, then landed lightly on the bed, tucking his tail underneath him neatly. Feeling superior, he explained, "It's something that you use to talk to girls you like and impress them!"

"Really?" Romeo's eyes widened, intrigued by such a simple concept. "Like what?"

Happy tapped his chin with his paw, thinking. "Ah! Here's a good one! You could say, 'If you were trash, I'd take you out.'" Natsu cracked up, while Romeo gawked, suddenly feeling very unsure about the neko's idea.

"Ahaha! That's funny," Natsu complimented Happy. "But you should use this one!"

If Natsu-nii likes it… Romeo thought. "Maybe. What would I say?"

"What about 'my love for you is like diarrhea - I just can't hold it in'?" Both the dragon slayer and his companion erupted into peals of laughter.

"Uh…" the boy trailed off yet again, sweatdropping. "I'll go find Wendy now. Thanks for the help, I guess!"

The Salamander and the blue cat looked at each other in sudden realization. "So he likes Wendy, eh?" Happy grinned deviously.

In the guild…

Well, Natsu-nii and Happy were no help at all... Romeo thought to himself. Whatever. I can ask other guildmates, right? Like Gray. He's got a girlfriend now - maybe he can help me. Romeo paused. I hope.

Approaching the stripper tentatively, he tapped Gray's bare shoulder, slightly averting his eyes. "Er, Gray? Where are your clothes?"

"Gah!" Gray looked down at his recently bared chest and scrambled to find the missing articles of clothing. "Thanks, Romeo," he told the boy, grinning sheepishly.

"So, uh, Gray… I was wondering if you could help my...friend with a problem? What should I - er, my friend do if he likes someone, but doesn't know how to tell her?"

"Oh, er, I don't know... Why don't you - I mean, your 'friend' - just kiss her?" Gray suggested, shrugging.

Romeo felt a blush creeping up his neck at the thought of it. I wouldn't do that. At all. He sweatdropped. He's completely serious, too. Ugh, Gray was just as useless as Natsu-nii, no matter how...sincere he was. Romeo sighed, wandering aimlessly around the guild.

Oof! The young fire mage suddenly collided with a large, muscular chest, losing his balance. Large hands caught his shoulders, placing him upright with no effort, like Romeo was a weightless toy. "Thanks, Elfman," he said to the white-haired male.

"You big oaf, watch where you're going! Hmph, bumping into Romeo like that," Evergreen scolded him.

Shaking his head, Romeo said, "Nah, that was my fault." Should I ask Elfman? He does have Evergreen, although they're not exactly going out... Screw it, there can't be worse advice than Natsu-nii's. "Hey, Elfman? My...friend needs some advice," Romeo began.

After listening to the problem, Elfman bellowed, "It's obvious what your friend needs to do! Confess to that girl like a MAN!" The whole guild turned toward the direction of the two.

Romeo winced. What did I expect? Thank Mavis Wendy's not here right now. She's probably training again.

"Did someone say confess?" Seemingly out of nowhere, a sandy-haired man appeared, one hand holding a red rose. His eyes shined, his aura sparkling as bright as the sun.

Romeo facepalmed.

Several useless attempts later...

Romeo groaned, face down on the table. Okay, let's see... He recalled his guildmates' advice:

First off, Natsu-nii. Pickup lines. Yeah, no.

Then there was Gray. Kissing. Oh, heck no.

Next, Elfman. Confess like a "man!" Of course he would say that.

And then Loke suggested that Romeo "TREAT HER TO A FANCY DINNER AT THE PHOENIX; TAKE HER ON A GONDOLA RIDE DOWN THE RIVER AND SHOWER RED ROSE PETALS OVER HER SHINING WATERFALL OF HAIR; TWIRL HER AROUND IN THE MOONLIGHT. AND THE BEST PART? GET DOWN ON ONE KNEE WITH A DIAMOND RING...!" Um, I'm kinda broke...

Finally, Gajeel. Three words: "SHOOBY DOO BOP!" Save the singing for Levy. Heh.

Speaking of the bookworm, the blue-headed mage appeared as if she were summoned. "Hey, Romeo-kun. What did Gajeel say now?" She sighed.

"Nothing," Romeo hesitated. "It's just...none of the guys give good advice."

"About what?" Levy prompted knowingly.

"I...kind of have a girl problem. I like this girl but I don't know how to tell her."

"Is it Wendy?"

Eyes widening, Romeo nodded shyly.

"Hey, have you heard of Romeo and Juliet?" Levy asked.

"Like the play?"

"Yeah, exactly."

"So...you want me to drink poison? I think I'll pass..." Romeo deadpanned.

Levy chuckled. "No! That's not what I meant; please don't kill yourself! You know, they were really young - really naive and rash, actually. I guess what I'm trying to say is: don't rush things."

Huh, Romeo contemplated, with a grin lighting up his face. Finally some good advice. "Thanks, Levy."

"No problem, kid," the bluenette smiled, ruffling his hair.

Finding himself at the training arena...

Romeo glanced up, the enormous structure coming into view. Sounds of brawling and magic-casting resonated from inside the stadium. Romeo thought to himself with a small smile, Maybe Wendy's practicing inside - working hard like usual.

As he stepped through the main entrance, he was greeted with the sight of not only Wendy, but also the members of Team Natsu and Juvia, practicing with a Magic Power Finder. Actually, not practicing - more like fighting, also like usual.

"Come on, Lucy!" Natsu cheered. "Beat Juvia's 1514!"

"Are you stupid, Flame Brain? Lucy couldn't do that! Juvia is obviously more powerful!" Gray snarled, pressed nose to nose with Natsu.

"Course not! You're the one who can't see that Lucy's the better mage! Have you even seen how she can open multiple gates at once?" Natsu spit back, flames dancing at his fingertips.

"And have you forgotten that Juvia was once part of Element Four? That's Phantom Lord's S-class!" Gray shouted. "Ice Make: Hammer!"

"Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon!" Natsu called simultaneously, aiming toward the ice block which had materialized at the ice mage's command.

"Oh no, not again!" Lucy groaned. "Guys, stop fighting!"

"We're not fighting; we're arguing!" they said in unison, turning to glare at each other. "Grr… Stop copying me!"

Erza didn't even bother to dignify their fight with a reply, choosing instead to smack the guys' heads with the hilt of her sword. Meanwhile, the aforementioned bluenette was flailing around, fangirling over the fact that Gray had complimented her.

Unbeknownst to the ice-maker and the dragon slayer, who continued their scuffle, as well as the distracted girls, the fire attack had splintered the large block of ice, sending jagged shards raining down upon the arena. Out of the corner of her eye, Wendy spotted a particularly sharp fragment flying at full speed towards an oblivious Romeo, who was preparing to leave the training center after the fight had broken out. Panic quivered through her body as she instinctively shouted his name.

"Romeo-kun! Watch out!" As Romeo turned toward the sound of her voice,

Wendy sent a strong gust of wind toward the hazardous piece of ice, blowing it safely out of harm's way just in time.

Behind them, Romeo could hear an angry Erza attacking the two mages, a frustrated Lucy shouting at Natsu-nii, and an enthusiastic Juvia encouraging her boyfriend.

The raven-haired boy self-consciously scratched his head. "A-arigato, Wendy-chan." Gathering all of his courage, he gave the sky dragon slayer a tentative hug. Wendy stiffened in surprise.

"Eh?" She blushed deeply, awkwardly returning the hug. Wendy-chan? Since when did he start calling me that?

"Thank you," he mumbled into her hair. "You basically saved me."

"Oh! It's no problem!" the girl squeaked, confused.

Pulling back, Romeo gripped her shoulder, looking straight into her eyes. "Wendy-chan, here's the thing..." Romeo sucked in a deep breath. "I maybe, kind of, possibly like you..." he spit out hurriedly.

For a moment, the dragon slayer was speechless. Her eyes widened even further before asking, "But didn't you say that you didn't want a girlfriend?"

"Not that I didn't want one, I just wasn't sure yet… But it's true, I guess. To be honest, I'm just not interested in having a girlfriend right now," Romeo pondered out loud. "But don't take it the wrong way! I really do like you."

Wendy tilted her head to the side, thinking. Romeo's gut twisted, afraid of her response. Finally, the girl sighed in relief. "I understand. After all, I feel the same way."

He ran his fingers through his short black hair, slightly embarrassed. "Are you saying that because you don't like me back?" Romeo shook his head. "I - I'm sorry. I'm not ready for a relationship, but I'm saying all these things… Ugh." He gazed up at her, a sheepish chuckle escaping from his lips. "I'm a mess, aren't I?"

The petite girl smiled in return. "Of course not! We're still young, right?" She took his hands and squeezed them reassuringly. "Honestly, Romeo-kun," she flushed. "I do like you back, but..."

Romeo squeezed back, warmth running up his arm. "I get it." He smiled kindly at her.

"It's just that, right now, I want to concentrate on getting stronger. When we're older... Maybe you can ask me again?" Wendy's eyes shone bright.

He laughed, elated that she not only liked him back, but that she also wanted to be with him, even if it was later on. "Then it's a promise, Wendy-chan."

A giggle from Levy, who had come in from another entrance to investigate what all the shouting was about, interrupted their moment. Wendy and Romeo looked up to see their nakama beaming at them, the solid script mage in particular. All at once, they began expressing their various forms of approval.

"Hmph. Well, at least he cares about Wendy," Carla commented, folding her arms across her chest, tail curling in part-approval, part-disapproval.

Erza nodded satisfactually. "Good. You two are much too young to even think about dating."

A whoop erupted from Natsu, who had forgotten about the fight. A sudden punch to his chest and, "Hah! Consider that revenge for last time!" from a certain ice mage reminded the flame brain about his previous occupation to which he returned eagerly, much to the dismay of Lucy.

Similar expressions of approval rang around the stadium, but one comment in particular stood out from the din. "They lllllike each other," Happy announced, giggling and dancing, ignoring the embarrassed protests of the two young mages behind him.

Chapter 3: RoWen/End

Author's Note: Thank you guys so much for reading until the end! I hope this chapter was not disappointing. If there is any criticism you guys want to offer, then we'd be happy to accept it, as long as it's constructive. Thank you!

Like we said before, if you guys have any requests, please leave them in reviews or PM us! Before, we said that requests should not be contradictory to what we've written. We've changed our minds now, though, since it won't be included in COEFTM/Confessions, but rather as a separate one-shot. (To the reviewer who requested Cana x Rouge, we would love to write about them, except we don't know their chemistry well, and would hate to mess it up. We're really sorry! Thanks for the request though!)

Please continue to support me and Queen50! :D
