"This time, this place…it all started and ended here." A man with blue hair and red tattoo on the right side of his face sorrowfully stated as he looked around the place he and his company were standing in.

"Yeah." Replied a young woman with a long scarlet hair. "The tower of heaven…"she whispered.

The duo was both standing in the middle of what was used to be called the tower of heaven, which was destroyed in the incident which the two of them started. Now, 8 years have passed since then and the place had already turned into a grass field filled with different sorts of colourful flowers which reminded them of the people who they were with when they were trapped in the tower. The sun was already setting in the place where they were and sky was painted in a beautiful scarlet color.

"A lot of mistakes have happened here Erza. I used you, and all our friends. I even killed Simon because of my weakness and I can never atone for that sin. And then I made you wait too long before I could be released from the spell brought upon me, but even then it was already too late. I had already done the unforgivable. But the most unforgivable part of it all was that I made you suffer and wait for me." Said the man in a remorseful tone while his closed fists shook in frustration.

"Jellal everyone has already forgiven you; Milliana, Kagura, even the Magic Council has lifted your warrant of arrest a year ago. I have forgiven you a long time ago too and I'm sure Simon too. If you called me out here to discuss all about this again then I'm…"

"But you gave me a chance, a breath of new life just in case it was still possible to save me." He cut her reply short. "Because you knew…you knew that I…that I had loved you all along this time." He stammered at the last sentence as he stared into her eyes.

Her eyes widen at his statement while a healthy color of red crept across her face as he locked his serious eyes onto hers. A gentle breeze came through, swaying her long scarlet hair and his dark blue cloak along with it. The flower buds on the field opened as if the breeze had commanded it and it let out golden spores in the air lighting the place like millions of fireflies flying around the two. It was then that she realized that a stain of red had crept through his cheeks as well making her stammer her words as well when she tried to speak. "I-I…"

"And when I had finally woken up during the Nirvana incident, all I can remember was you Erza, and the color of your hair, Scarlet. I have been far away from you for too damn long and I missed you terribly even during the 7 years you were gone. The only motivation I had to keep on living during those empty 7 years was the possibility that you were not dead yet and that I had to atone for my sins first before I could face you again when we meet. And during those nights when I slept, I kept on seeing you with me in my dreams and you reassured that you'll never leave me. So I kept on breathing, holding on to the words you said in my dreams."

He slowly approached her as he confessed to her, but she did not step back until he was only an inch away from her.

"Jellal, you…I-I…"

"So right now Erza, on my knees I'll ask…" he gently and passionately said to her while slowly kneeling down in front of her and holding her hand, making her gasp and red all the more. He had a small smile on him but due to the nervousness he felt, he could not smile any more wider. "…you to marry me. Because when I'm with you, I could withstand all of hell…just to hold your hand. I'd give anything to be with you. I'd give anything for us, anything, and anything at all but I won't ever give up. So Erza," he paused as he took out a small box from his pocket and opened it in front of her to reveal a small golden ring inside. Erza brought her hands to her mouth as she tried to supress her tears from coming down, which she failed to do so. Her tears then continuously fell down on her cheeks from both of her eyes. Her legs weakened and shook from the continuous loud beating of her heart until her legs gave up and she fell onto her knees, right in front of Jellal.

"Erza! Are you al-" he gasped out as Erza suddenly wrapped her arms around his neck. "E-Erza…" he stammered but then slowly wrapped his arms around her waist.

"We've been far away from each other for too long. Even when finally I came back and saw you, your job in Crime Sorciere kept you away from me. I wanted you stay in Magnolia and pretend to be Mystogan forever so that we can be together. I wanted you to stay…because I…I…I needed to hear you say that you loved me." She confessed in between her sobs as she secured her nails tightly on his back as if he was going to disappear any time soon.

"Sorry. But I haven't finished atoning for all the mistakes I have done yet. But, I love you Erza. I really do." He whispered as he kissed her temple.

"I love you too Jellal. I have loved you all this time too." She gently pulled away and placed both if her palms on his cheeks. "I forgive you for being away from me for too long. So keep breathing." She said with a warm smile. "Because I'm not leaving you anymore too. Jellal, I will marry you."

The two of them smiled at each other until Jellal had finally placed the ring on Erza's ring finger. She then brought her hands on the sides of his face and the two slowly leaned in at each other until their lips met for the time. Erza felt like melting for the first time in her life. Their lips fit each other perfectly like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. They couldn't have been more perfect for each other.

Erza deepened the kiss as she brought her arms around his neck again and Jellal followed suit by hugging her more tightly by the waist. He could feel her tears of happiness dropping down his face as well when all of a sudden…

"Hooray! He finally did it!" the voice of a young girl echoed throughout the entire field as she jumped out of the bushes she was hiding in.

"Meredy?!" gawked Jellal as he broke off their kiss. "What are you-"

"Meredy keep it down! They're going to find out we're here!" another voice came out and hissed at the pink haired girl.

"Juvia?" Erza confusedly asked at the nearby thick bush, recognizing the owner of the voice.

"So-sorry! We didn't want to ruin your moment." Another voice said, then a busty blonde slowly came out from the bushes and so did others.

"Lucy! Natsu! Gray! And even Wendy! What are you guys doing here?"

"Well we sort of heard from a specific someone…"the blonde suddenly motioned towards Meredy. "that Jellal was finally going to propose to you. So I told Natsu that I wanted to see it and he told Gray who told Juvia who practically yelled it out in front of the whole guild. That's why everyone from the guild is here." She explained as she rubbed the back of her head. The couple stood up and brushed the dirt of their clothes before facing the crowd before them.

"Well we couldn't miss the chance to see Erza all girly and weak, now can we Gray?" Natsu smirked as he nudged Gray's side.

"Yeah." He smirked back. "Juvia here got a little too excited and ranted to me on and on about marriages and stuff until the whole guild found out."

"Juvia is sorry." Said the water mage as she bowed down in apology. " Juvia was not trying to ruin your moment, honestly."

"Enough of the apology stuffs, God!" barked Cana. "We've been hearing a lot of that apologizing stuff from Jellal earlier on."

"You've all been here the whole time?!" asked the embarrassed Erza.

"Yup. Now that you guys are engaged, it's time to party and drink! To Erza and Jellal!" The brunette yelled happily as she raised her mug of beer in the air, making the others yell in agreement.

"Honestly Cana…" Lucy face palmed.

The newly engaged couple were both surprised and embarrassed at first but then smiled and laughed with the others later on. Most of the guild members came to congratulate Erza and Jellal personally, even the previous masters of the guild, Makarov and Mavis. Even the old Ultear came to check on Jellal, who was surprised to Ultear doing well despite her age. The party continued on throughout the whole night on the field. There were food, drinks and music and everyone had a great time. Friends were drinking and singing and couples were dancing along.

The newly engaged couple however distanced themselves a bit from the rowdy crowd to get their own privacy. They stood underneath the starry night together, holding each other's hands.

"You know, I think this field of flowers represents a new beginning for us." Jellal suddenly said, breaking the ice.

"It does." The scarlet haired mage replied with a smile. "This is where we met and this is where our tragedy happened but now that it is over we have new life and future ahead of us, just like this field of flowers." She said as she brought her arms around his neck while Jellal placed his around her waist. "Hold me tightly Jellal." She shyly whispered, the two blushing at the same time. But Jellal did as he was told and wrapped his arms tightly around her, closing any gaps between them. "Hold on to me and never let me go."

"I will never let you go again Erza. Never again." He replied as he leaned his head closer to her and sealed their lips once more.
