Disclaimer; I do not own any aspect of Vampire Knight, that honour goes to Matsuri Hino-sama~

"Leave it," Zero sighed, shaking his head, his voice cracking faintly at the end. It was clear that he was beyond weak, and Kaito sighed, sounding resigned. Slowly, he raised his hands and swept silky, wet from the rain locks from his neck to expose the perfect hollow above his collarbone and the warmly pulsing artery above it. Zero could almost see the faint twitch of his heartbeat fluctuating through that soft, exposed skin. An involuntary, low groan rumbled through his throat and he averted his gaze, brow furrowed. "No…"

"Do it," Kaito pressed, eyes slipping closed as he shifted closer to the vampire so their legs were tangled, separated by only two layers of damp clothing. "Do what you have to."

Zero opened his mouth to protest, but hunger and weakness and the lust that had built up from so long of starvation overcame his poisoned mind and he leant forward to press an icy cold kiss to the smooth neck before sharp canines pierced the flesh.

The pain was blinding, and Kaito saw flashes in the black screen of his vision, trying to maintain aware of the sudden intense sensations flooding through his body. The agony, the pinching drain that flowed through those perfect lips, the low, burning heat that spread through his body, smouldering as the relieved, sated growl echoed from Zero's lips to his very core, deep in the pit of his abdomen. A soft, pleading whimper fell from his lips as he pressed up closer, rocking slightly against the hardness he felt beneath him.

When Zero pulled away, a sharp exhale escaped his lips, and both males simply stayed there, entwined, breathing heavily. Kaito clamped a hand over the aching wound and tried to calm down to ease the pulsing blood that ran warm against his fingertips, entranced as he watched the same crimson flow from the corners of Zero's lips. They watched each other for what felt like an eternity as the storm washed away the scarlet blood from porcelain skin,

"Kaito, I…" Zero started, the strength in his voice returned, eyes flashing with words that wouldn't form in his mouth.

"You're welcome," Kaito murmured quietly, before the male could finish, leaning his head back as the sense of lightheadedness faded. He carefully stood, unwrapping their limbs from the intimate embrace that had both their cheeks flushed and their eyes alight. Both knew the consequences of what had just happened, that this was a lot more complicated than a favour to a friend. "Let's go."
