SOLDIER Potter

A/N: Hello everyone. Sorry for the long wait. I've been having a hard time with writing lately due to family issues. Here is a new chapter for you; enjoy.
Chapter 3
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Headmaster's Quarters; June 18, 1981
Albus Dumbledore sighed in contentment. Though he had lost his position with the International Confederation of Wizards; his plans for the Potter child were back on track. The monitors that he had set up were finally registering that the child was unhappy and in ill health. Though he had been unable to gain custody, the muggle system couldn't find anyone else to take the child and Petunia had adamantly refused and so the baby went to an orphanage. Albus didn't care where the child was as long as he was being abused. After all how can he be seen as the boy's salvation and hero if he was a strong independent person?
Of course getting things on track had not been all that easy and he had not been able to implement his plan siphon the Potter vaults but the most important part was in place and once the child was older he would delicately hint of the need for money.
Shaking himself from his thoughts he stood and prepared for the meeting of the Wizengamont. This was to be a trial for Sirius Black. He tried to subtlety block a trial but the letters received by several members who were not in his debts or were neutral set back his plan to lock up the Black Heir.
"Don't these people know that I know what's best for the Greater Good? Fools," stated the Headmaster. Taking a final look in the mirror he turned and grabbed his port key for the Ministry.

Valentine Mansion
Sephiroth smiled as he watched his brothers run and play with Hadrian. The screams and laughter were welcome sounds after the child's silence and crying after he came to live with them.
The child had let go of some of his grief and pain. He did still ask after his parents but their fates were carefully explained. Harry was still wary of letting any of them out of his sight but he was adapting a little at a time. It helped that Remus Lupin showed up shortly after Harry came to live at the mansion. Having a familiar face mixed in with all the new went a long way towards helping the child adjust. Now the silverette was preparing to retrieve one more; the trial of Sirius Black was today and Sephiroth was more than ready to tear the Ministry and that moronic headmaster to pieces.
Standing and stretching, Sephiroth called, "Hadrian come here please." The little boy immediately squirmed from Yazoo's arms and ran to his grandfather.
Harry knew something important was going to happen today because grandpa let him play with the cousins and didn't interrupt at all. This usually meant someone had to leave for a while and the scared Harry. He was afraid they wouldn't come back, like Padfoot didn't. Mommy and daddy went to a special place all cause of the mean men; the red-eyed one and the one with the scratchy face. He hoped grandpa was going to tell him about Padfoot and where he went. He missed him and wanted him back.
Sephiroth smiled as the toddler came towards him, it always made him happy that Harry came when he called. "Hadrian, I'm going out today and I will back this evening. If everything goes how I want I'll be bringing you a present okay."
Harry looked at his grandpa and saw how serious he was and knew that this outing was very important. So he nodded and hugged the silverette then he ran back to his cousins.
The former general nodded to his brothers and teleported to the Ministry.
Ministry of Magic
Courtroom 10
Albus arrived at the courtroom and sighed. There were a lot of people here and it looked like he wouldn't be able to use his voice magic to influence everyone. He needed Black to stay in Azkaban; the man was too much of loose cannon and he couldn't allow him custody of Harry.
Strolling through the chamber the headmaster greeted various allies and enemies as he plotted how to keep the Black Heir imprisoned. Sadly nothing came to mind before he reached his appointed spot. He would just have to hope Veritaserum was not requested for the trial. It was also a good thing that he held the proxy for Harry's votes that way they were negated as he was performing as Chief Warlock.
As the headmaster to his seat, the many people in the chamber took theirs and prepared for the coming trial. Many of the spectators were wondering what Black would say and if truth serum would be used. After all, who knew what lies could be told without it.
Sephiroth had arrived in the courtroom shortly before Dumbledore and took the Valentine seat. He wondered if the Chief Warlock would try any of his manipulations today in order to keep Sirius locked up. It would be the main thing to do; the man would probably figure he couldn't use his voice magic so would have to resort to something a little more blatant. Probably have a toady put the motion that Veritaserum only be used at the request of the defendant. Which given normal circumstances wouldn't happen since most people brought from the high security wing of Azkaban were incoherent. That would backfire seeing as Sirius was an animagus and spent much of his time in that hellhole in his form.
There was a slight drop in noise as Dumbledore entered and the man walked across the room to the Chief Warlock seat as if everyone was beneath him and he was beyond reproach. To be honest the way the eye-wateringly dressed man acted reminded the Silver General of Hedigger. The both had an Overinflated ego and the absolute belief that they were always right no matter what.
Sephiroth shook his head and watched as the proceedings began.
"We now open the trial of Sirius Black, Heir to Most Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, Duke of Mercia, and Lord of Midgar," announced Herald Marcus MacMillan.
At that point the prosecutor, an ugly toad looking woman stood, "Hem, Hem. The charges against the accused are betraying Lily and James Potter You-Know-Who, killing wizard Peter Pettigrew, destroying property, breaking the Statue of Secrecy, killing 12 muggles, and resisting arrest."
There were whispered conversations and epithets around the room. It seemed everyone was on edge and felt that the trial was unnecessary.
MacMillan nodded, "Bring in the accused." Doors at the back of the chamber opened and two Aurors dragged and pushed Sirius between them. Though he hadn't been imprisoned long you could see the effects of the prison were starting to show. The man looked drawn and his clothes were filthy.
Sephiroth sighed quietly. Really was it too much to ask for a person to be cleaned up before being brought before the courts.
Sirius was tossed into the defendant's chair. There were murmurs as the enchanted chains did not activate. The chains had been created and enchanted to bind and place truth spells on any guilty part placed in the chair. That they did not activate for Sirius caused concern many believing that the enchantments failed. Very few of those in the room understood this meant Sirius was innocent. The chains would not bind an innocent though the truth spells would still be in effect.
"We will know begin questioning the prisoner using Veritaserum. Are there any objections," called out Dumbledore. Sephiroth inwardly scoffed the ploy was so transparent. The man wanted to someone to move that the truth serum could only be used of the prisoner requested it. It was so stupid. He could see that Sirius was quite as out of as everyone assumed. His eyes showed that he was watching and listening to everything.
The silverette hoped the man waited for just the right moment to reveal himself. After all if Veritaserum was used no one could refute his testimony and it would put several people in the hot seat. This was going to be fun.
While Sephiroth was lost in his thoughts, one of the Chief Warlock's main supporters stood," I move that Veritaserum only be allowed by the defendant's request. It is a violation of his rights to force such a powerful truth serum on him."
The members of Wizengamont all voted to disallow the serum by force and that it must be voluntary. At the moment everyone settled and the prosecution was about to begin; Sirius spoke, "I request to questioned under Veritaserum."
The uproar was incredible. Many of the pureblood faction were angry because there were things he knew about them that they didn't want known. Dumbledore's faction was angry that he didn't seem to be effected by his stay in Azkaban.
Suddenly there was a loud bang. "Silence!" shouted Dumbledore, "The accused has requested Veritaserum. This body must abide by their wishes."
There was grumbling after this pronouncement. "Aurors would you please fetch the needed potion," order the Chief Warlock. 'Good thing I have Aurors loyal to me working today. I can dose Sirius with poison and blame a faulty batch of serum.' Dumbledore thought with glee.
Sephiroth eyed the headmaster suspiciously. 'He gave in much too easily. I'll have to perform a switch on the potion brought. He more than likely has a couple stooges and will have them bring a poison instead.'
The silverette watch as the potion was brought in. He froze time for just a minute and switched the vial the Aurors were carrying. Nodding in satisfaction he let time resume.
The two men with the potion approached Sirius and forced him to swallow the potion.
"We can now begin questioning the accused. Let's establish that the potion is working," stated the prosecutor, "What is your name?"
"Sirius Orion Black," was the dull reply.
"What is your birthday?"
"April 25, 1955."
"All right, the serum is working. Let's begin with the real questions. Are you a Death Eater?"
"No." There were murmurs around the courtroom though no one was too loud.
"Were the Secret Keeper for the Potters?"
"I was not." There were shocked exclamations and cries of liar. Again a bang sounded quieting the room.
"Please continue, prosecutor," stated Dumbledore. HE hoped that the man only asked one more question and did not probe too deeply into the answers.
"Thank you, Chief Warlock. I only have two more questions. Mr. Black, who was the Secret Keeper for the Potters and who cast the Fidelius charm", queried the prosecutor.
For a brief instant rage flashed through Sirius' eyes, "Peter Pettigrew was the Secret Keeper and Albus Dumbledore cast the charm."
The uproar following that statement was tremendous.
Sephiroth sat back and smiled. He had provided the questions for the prosecution by simply saying those two were the most important.
Suddenly there was a loud bang. "This room will be silent. Aurors please restrain the Chief warlock; as of now he is relieved of his position in this courtroom," shouted Amelia Bones, the Head of the DMLE. "I will take his place as Chief Warlock. My first order of business is to declare Sirius Black clear of all charges and to issue arrest warrants for all parties involved in sending him to Azkaban without a trial."
Albus sat fuming in rage. If only the prosecutor and used to questions he had given him. Now he would have to talk his way out of prison. Deciding that he was not going to let these insects dictate to him. "FAWKES!"
This shout echoed in the silent room. A ball of flame appeared and just as the Headmaster was about to escape the phoenix burst in flames and the ashes fell to the floor. Emerging from the pile was a baby bird.
"I'd apologize for that but we can't have a suspect leaving before being questioned, now can we," came silkily from Sephiroth. The whole of the room stared at the silver-haired man wielding a 7ft sword.
Shaking off their shock, the Aurors rushed to grab Dumbledore and put inhibitor cuffs on him. Bones once again called for order and dismissed the court.
Sephiroth walked up to Sirius, "Well Black, you're a right mess. Come on there's someone who wants to see you." Sirius was still suffering the effects of the truth potions and Azkaban; so followed without a complaint.
"Who wants to see me?" Sirius asked
"The only person in the world I would enter this Gaia-forsaken building for," was the reply.
Sirius contemplated this as he walked to the apparition point. He knew Sephiroth through Lily and the man hated the Ministry and would only come if it was something for family. Which meant…?
"You have the Prongslet," the ex-prisoner cried.
Sephiroth merely smiled and teleported them both away.
