Another small drabble. These were actually part of a prompt thing on my RP blog quite awhile ago. I most likely could have cleaned this up more, but I kinda feel like working on new stuff instead of fixing up old stuff.

Ionia was somewhere she did not go often. Though if Shauna was asked, she would most likely comment on the City-state being one of her preferred to be in.

However on this visit, what would usually go smoothly was interrupted by the Arrow of Retribution. He had caught up with her as the sun was going down. Vayne was not surprised that he was equally interested in the man she was after, knowing Varus's plight she could guess why.

The two continued their hunt together and even the the occasional displeased comment from the Night Hunter to Varus, they worked rather well, tracking the mage down swiftly. They had not even been searching that long and the two had worked together to take down the target easily- It was practically overkill with both of them there.

Vayne of course was disinterested in sticking around once the job was done. With the objective finished, she was about to leave the corrupt archer to his own business again until he called for her to wait. With look of questioning she complied, standing with him in the field they had ended the hunt in. The area was actually rather beautiful if one could ignore the state it was in after they had finished in it.

Ignoring the sight around them though, Shauna seemed slightly impatient, wondering what exactly she was waiting for before she noticed the other staring at the sky. Diverting her own attention upwards it was not much longer until a spectacular display of fireworks begun in a place not to far from there- a festival no doubt. Varus most likely had more information on it. Vayne turned her head to question the other but instead found herself staring quietly. Frowning to herself she realised Varus had also turned to her.

Honestly the Night Hunter did not know what to say about what followed, but it could be described as a romantic kiss under the stars, even if there was a dead body next to them.
