The Guardians hadn't seen Jack for a couple of days. Because she was used to being alone, Jack often went to her lake or to a mountain summit. Today (luckily for the Guardians) Jack was sat on a large flat stone protruding from the middle of her frozen lake. Sandy and Bunny had found Jack. They dithered in the bushes across the lake from the young winter spirit.
Slowly, Jack picked up her staff with her pale fingers. Jack gazed at it intently. After about 15 seconds, North and Tooth tumbled out of a portal. Sandy and North made frantic shushing gestures whilst pointing at Jack. Luckily they had been quiet and Jack hadn't noticed them.
The winter spirit gripped her staff tighter and furrowed her brow in concentration. A few seconds and a flash of blue later, Jack was holding what looked like a large wooden flute. She had closed her eyes and had a triumphant smile covering her face. She lifted the flute to her lips, and began to play it.
The song started of soft and soothing. The melody coming from the flute had a beautiful quality to it that made the Guardians stand and listen to. The notes created a beautiful harmony that filled the clearing where the lake was. The sounds washed over Jacks audience. They all thought that she was truly a master of her instrument but they were surprised- Jack had never once told them she could play an instrument.
Noiselessly, the Guardians sat and listened to their youngest member play. They watched her nimble fingers dance across the holes as the song wove high and low notes together in a sequence of that was repeated and embellished over and over.

Jack looked calm and blissful while she played and the guardians could tell she had truly mastered the insturment.
Soon the song reached a climax and faded out with a last long note.
Jack was panting slightly from the long song but her now open eyes were shining with her success.
"AMAZING!" Shouted North.
Jack jumped about 2 feet into the air and pointed some freshly made ice points towards North. "North!" She shouted back, "DON'T sneak up on me! What are you guys doing here?"
"Impressive flute playing" Bunny said with a grin. Jack grinned back and winked at Sandy who had written 'BRILLIANT' in sand writing.
Tooth flew over to Jack and gave her a hug "Oh my teeth! Where did you learn to play that? How long have you been playing that? What is it?" She squealed excitedly without giving Jack a chance to answer.
Jack laughed, having got over her shock, "That is called a Dizi flute. Its a Chinese musical instrument, I know it's used in Chinese folk music but not much else..." Jack grinned at the Guardians, "You really liked it?" The others nodded enthusiastically.
"I'm not sure what song it is but it's by a person called Sao Tau Hay. Jamie showed me how to use YouTube on my iPhone..." Jack tailed off at the Guardians questioning faces.
"You have an iPhone?" Said North whilst Bunny and Tooth looked confused, "What's YouTube?" They asked.
"Uh..." Jack said, "I can change the form of my staff... and right now it is a flute. I can also change it into an Iphone..." Jack grinned.
"Very impressive" said North, "Did you find that song on youtube?"
Jack laughed at Bunny and Tooth's confused expressions.
"Come Bunny" North said, "I am going to show you YouTube, and Jack, you ought to show Jamie your skills!"
"Okay" Jack agreed happily and flew off muttering about people sneaking up on her.
