Chapter 4

"We're home, guys!" Shout Elmyra. Jerry, Willy, and the furlings look up and see a good size house.

"It may look good on the outside, by I'm afraid of what's on the inside," said Willy, the others agree.

Elmyra takes the small animals inside, and they go to her room. there's other animals, but in cages. "Help us," they cried.

Elmyra sets the animals down on the table, "I'm gonna make you guys some snacks, you wait here." she says as she runs down the steps.

"This girl is crazy!" yelled Edger.

"She's more crazier than you think, Mole boy," said a mouse wearing a dark orange shirt, "She's insane!"

"How insane?" asked Abigail,

"Jerry, show them the backyard," said the dark orange shirt wearing mouse. Jerry shakes his head.

"I'm looking!" yelled Abigail. She runs up to the window, opened the curtains, and gasps in horror. There's a little graveyard with over 30 little crosses.

"What happened to all of them?"

"Elmyra likes to give her special hugs,"

"Oh man, that's horrible!" said Russell.

"Jerry broke out so he can get help for us," said a female mouse with a red dress,

"So that's why you came to Dapplewood," said Abigail, looking at Jerry,

"Dapplewood? I've heard of that, somebody's trying to tear it down!" said the female mouse,

"Yeah, but we stopped him from doing it, for now,"

"That's good ! Say, can you guys get us out of of these cages?"

As Jerry was about to open the cage, Elmyra comes back in with a plate full of garbage.

"Here ya go, guys, some food. I know you this the most, Jerry, since you ate up the last dinner," said Elmyra. Upon hearing that, Abigail and the other furlings gives Jerry a disgusting look.

"Elmyra! Did you go into the trashcan again?" yelled her mother.

"Uh, maybe,"

"Get down here right now young lady!"

Elmyra gulps and leaves the room again.

"Wow, you eat garbage, that's gross," said Willy. Jerry used a body movement that is considered inappropriate. This shocks Abigail. Despite the comment, Jerry opens up the cage for the girl mouse. She hugs him as a thanks.

"Little dude, come help me out!" shouts the mouse in the orange shirt, Jerry opens up the cage for him.

"Now what do we do?" asked Russell.

"We're getting the heck out of this place that's what!" shout Abigail.

" I don't know about you little dudes, but I'm staying, I'm starting a revolution," said the male mouse,

"Yeah, let's do that, Hugo," said the female mouse,

"No Rita, you go with Jerry and the gang, the rest of us will stay here. Don't worry, little sis, we'll be okay," said Hugo.

"But.."

"No buts! Jerry, get her out!" Jerry nods. Rita looks at her brother with concern, then back to Jerry.

"How are we getting out?" ask Edgar.

"I know. Elmyra forgot to close that air vent, that's how Jerry got out last time," said Rita,

"Right, come on guys, we don't have time to lose," said Abigail. She goes to a telephone cord, and slides down it. Jerry, the furlings, and their new friend, Rita, go down with her. They all get inside the air vent.

"Be careful, Rita!" yelled Hugo, as he opens up a cage for a raccoon. Rita nods, then looks at Jerry.

"Alright Jerry, lead the way," said Rita. Jerry nods and runs down the air vent.

"Hey, wait for us!" yelled Abigail. She and the other gang go after him.

Still in Elmyra's room, Hugo looks at the air vent, thinking about his sister. However, his train of thoughts have been interrupted by Elmyra's voice,

"Hey, what are all my animal friends doing out of their cages?" She asks. She noticed the mean looks on their faces. 'What's with those looks?"

Hugo cracks his knuckles, "Ready guys?" He asks, they all nod. Elmyra gulps.

"ATTACK!" All the animals jumped on Elmyra, biting and scratching her. She screams! Her mom comes in.

"Oh my god!" yelled the mom, "Get of her you freaks!"

Back at the air vent, The gang hears the commotion. Rita, worried about her brother, tries to run back, but Jerry grabs her arm, and shakes his head no. She cries and hugs Jerry, the furlings feel bad for her.

Outside, where it's now night time, Tom is limping to Elmira house, he sees her bike, and smiles.

"Ahem," Tom hears a voice and looks down to see Jerry and his friends.

"Look who came for us," said Edgar, in a sarcastic voice. Tom chuckles nervously and rubs the back of his head.

Back at the construction zone, Randy is looking over the the bulldozers

"Yep, no doubt about it, mice have gotten to it," said Randy.

"You won't believe what I saw! Tom was helping those mice," said one of the workers, Randy almost fell to the ground.

"Are you sure?" ask Randy,

"Yes,"

"The boss isn't going to be happy to hear about this" said one of the other workers,

"Oh no he won't," said Randy with concern.

Tom stole Elmyra's bike, and now he's riding it down the street. Jerry and his friends are sitting on basket, Rita is still thinking about her brother.

"Don't worry Rita, I'm sure your brother will be okay," said Abigail. Rita smiles.

"Where do we go now?" asked Willy.

"We should head back to Dapplewood, we'll rest and try to figure out what to do tomorrow," said Edgar.

"What about me?" ask Rita.

"You'll stay with me," said Abigail, "You too Willy," Willy blushed.

"What do you mean Tom betrayed us?!" Yelled Mr. Johnny. He's not too happy to hear about the news.

"Just like I said, he doesn't support your evil plan!" Yelled Randy.

"Careful with that tone now. I can make that call to the media."

"I don't care!"

"Fine by me. Not only you're jobless, but people will find out about you."

Randy didn't want to hear it anymore, he leaves the trailer.

"I don't need that fool, or anybody!" yelled Mr. Johnny, with an evil chuckle, "Tomorrow afternoon, those Dapplewood furballs are gonna find out what hell feels like," Mr. Johnny holds up a lighter, and flicks it, lighting a cigarette.

Outside, Cornelius, and Abigail's father hears the plan.

"Oh dear heaven, no." he says in fear.

"Uncle Cornelius?" Cornelius hears the voice, and turns around to see Michelle, rubbing her eye.

"Michelle! You should be in bed!"

"What's going on?"

"Nothing. now go to back bed," Michelle did as told.

"I pray that my daughter and her friends will be all right." said Abigail's father,

"I'm sure they will be. They saved Michelle," said Cornelius

"I know that, I don't know if I should trust Jerry,"

"I went though the mouse family tree. There's something you should know about Jerry," Abigail's father gives Cornelius a look of suspicion.

Tom couldn't find Dapplewood due to it being too dark. He drops the furlings off at a forest and pedals off.

"I guess we're camping out here tonight," said Willy.

"Yep," said Abigail. Storm clouds began to roll in.

"We better find shelter!" yelled Rita.

"Kids, come in here!" The voice belong to a old male raccoon. Rita gasps

"I know him. We can trust him, come on guys!" Rita says, as she runs to the house. Jerry and the furlings follow her.

Inside, the raccoon gives them blankets. It starts to rain outside.

"Good thing I'm not out there," said Wily.

"Rest up, you have a big day tomorrow," said the raccoon.

"What do you mean and how do you know?" Abigail asked with suspicion.

"You'll see kids. Just rest up."

Not much time later, everyone, but Rita, fell asleep.

"Please be okay, big brother." Rita keeps thinking. "Please,"
