[A/N] Just a funny little idea I came up with. This will probably not be one of my best stories. It will show what Quote goes through (I officially don't care about spoilers here) when he goes up to the First Cave to make the Polar Star become the Spur. This will not be canon in my story arc about him and Curly, though. [End of A/N]

So, without further ado…

The Oddities of Tetsuzou Kamadani

After defeating the giant fish in that waterway, I went to the Mimiga Village from the reservoir. It was completely deserted. Nobody was there, no one at all.

I went to Arthur's house to see if there was any place where I should be, when I saw Professor Booster come out of the teleporter.

"So you're here…" he said. "I have a preposition for you."

He hands me a green jetpack.

"That is the Booster 2.0," he says. "It will help you out.

"Now here is my preposition… We should never have taken Sue with us. She was just a child, but we couldn't leave her behind. I want you to take that and help Sue get away from the island. Just please, assure the safety of that child."

I put on the Booster, and try it out by flying around the village. I spy a door, high up in the sky, and boost myself up there to go inside.

I find myself in the very first cave where I started this adventure, full of the weak creatures that I can now destroy with one shot from any weapon. I make my way back to the place where I found my Polar Star, and find the man in there is no longer sleeping, but awake.

He sees the Polar Star and says "You! You were the one who took my gun when I was asleep! I knew I should have kept it in my pocket…"

"Wait… how long have you used that gun? It looks like it has been well used for a long time…"

I nod, yes.

"Well, in that case, I should tell you that it's unfinished. I could finish it for you if you lend it to me for a bit…"

I hand it over, and he goes into a back room and tinkers with it. I can hear the clanging of a hammer, and smell a blowtorch.

After not too long, I hear him shout "IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE! HA HA HA HA HA!"

I start to get a little uncomfortable.

He comes out, looking very giddy, but quickly regains his composure and hands me the new gun.

"There," he says. "That is the Spur. It can fire powerful lasers, instead of the usual shots of the Polar Star. Use it well…"

And with that he fades into darkness, leaving me all alone with a new gun.
