"So..."

Tony and Clint sat awkwardly in their shared hotel room, both sitting cross legged on the bed as they tried to think of something to occupy their time. "Maybe we could go and eat at one of the lobby restaurants?" Clint suggested, plopping down on the pillows.

"Nah, you need reservations. We'd have to wait a day or two."

Clint groaned, burying his face in the comforters. "How about an amusement park?" Tony asked. Clint shook his head. "We already bought tickets to that nearby park but we'd have to go on Saturday." Tony frowned. "What's today?"

"Friday."

"Damn."

Tony sighed, looking out the balcony. It was a beautiful and sunny day, and London had much to offer. Why wasn't there anything for them to do? They've already toured around most of the city, and been to most of their attractions. Plus, all of the other fun stuff they've planned for were for different days. This apparently was a free day, and instead of kicking back and relaxing- they were bored to death.

The brunette turned to look at the archer, who was squished beneath the pillows and played mindlessly with the edges of the sheets. "It's so boring..." Clint whined, burying his face against the mattress. Tony snorted. "You act like a child."

"You are a child." Clint mocked back playfully.

Tony grinned. "Mentally. Not physically." Clint laughed, raising his head to turn to the other man. "Yeah, because physically you're-" Clint eye's widened and he instantly shut his mouth. Tony furrowed his eyebrows. "Physically what? Clint?"

Clint shook his head. "Nothing. forget it." Tony narrowed his eyes, but decided not to push it any further. Once he saw Clint catch his gaze he cleared his throat and turned the other way. Did he always look that handsome in the morning? "So, did you think of something?"

"Well..." The archer trailed off, and Tony looked at him in curiosity. So cute. "We can um, go walk down that park that we saw the other day. I mean, almost a full week into our vacation and we've never really just... hung out." Tony stared at him bemusement. "Huh?"

Clint blushed embarrassingly, rolling his eyes. "Wrong choice of words. I mean, like... we've been sight seeing, and taking pictures, and being the fun little tourists we are. But, we can just have a regular and normal day at the park right?" Tony nodded, catching on. "So like a picnic? Or maybe sitting on the fountain and throwing coins in the water?" Clint smiled.

"Exactly. And maybe walk underneath the rows of big oak trees like Central Park has, and sit on the benches and feed pigeons. You know, simple stuff." Tony smiled and nodded, agreeing with the idea. Clint grinned, springing from the bed. "C'mon then! Change out of your PJ's beautiful, because we're going to the park."

The archer headed towards the bathroom to freshen up, completely missing the puzzled look and sudden blush from the brunette.

Clint smiled as he and Tony walked out the lobby, the warm sun rays instantly hitting their face and any skin that was visible. It was a surprisingly hot day, so the duo were relieved that they dressed comfortingly to the weather. Clint wore a simple fitted gray T-shirt, along with some cargos shorts and Nike sneakers, and a pair of sunglasses borrowed from the billionaire. Tony wore a matching pair of sunglasses, along with a tank-top and a un-buttoned plaid short-sleeved shirt. The look went along well with the casual navy shorts and sneakers.

"What a hipster." Clint teased, making Tony chuckle and playfully hit his arm. "Very funny. Just so happens that since I am Tony Stark I have to look good where ever I go." Clint stuck out his tongue, and Tony rolled his eyes playfully. "And you call me a child."

Clint laughed, clutching tightly on the handle of their picnic basket. Tony hummed quietly, holding tightly to the picnic blanket and re-adjusted the straps of his backpack. Okay, so maybe they brought more then was planned. But they knew they weren't going to regret bringing a Frisbee, trail mix, bird food, and other stuff they planned using. They had the whole freaking day.

"Did you bring the sunscreen?" Clint asked, nodding to the backpack. Tony hummed in agreement, twisting to show the archer the sunscreen that was in one on the side pockets. "SPF 350." Clint smiled, sighing happily. "A whole day of doing nothing." Tony chuckled. "Well not nothing. We are going to do stuff here, too." Clint snorted. "But this time we don't have to wait in freakishly long lines and waste money on souvenirs."

Tony frowned. "We waste money on souvenirs?" Clint shrugged. "Most stuff. I'm better off with pictures, it's whether I consider it memorable enough for a souvenir." Tony snorted. "I'm a billionaire. We can buy a souvenir each at all the attractions and still have money."

Clint laughed, and nodded to a big open space in the middle of the grass area, underneath a big oak tree that would be useful shade and a small river bank just across it. "Perfect."

Tony gave an approving look, pleased with the area and jogged towards the tree to start setting up the picnic. He took off his glasses and threw them in Clint's direction. "Hold these for me!" Clint caught them easily, relieved. Tony smiled. "So what'd you bring?" Clint slipped off his sunglasses and hung them on his shirt. "Let's see: deli sandwiches, fruit salad, BBQ ribs- a must, tortilla chips, lemonade, and for dessert we have the famous and oh so delicious pumpkin pie."

The brunette gasped. "With gingersnap crust and ice cream?" Clint smiled. "Only your favorite." Tony grinned, his heart swelling inside of his chest. "T-thank you. Really. I mean, wow."

Clint shook his head. "No need, really. I stopped by the bakery and ordered a few. I mean- you are a billionaire." Tony laughed. "Plus I got you those peanut butter cookies you enjoyed, too."

Tony gaped. "I love you."

Clint stopped unpacking and froze. "What?" Tony seemed to catch on because he froze as well, the blood rushing to his cheeks. "I-I uh, I meant- I love that you um, did this for me. Really. I love it. Thank you."

The archer nodded, a little dazed. Tony cleared his throat and went to grab the sunscreen from his backpack. "Did you uh- put on sunscreen?" Clint shook his head and held out his palm, waiting expectantly. Tony narrowed his eyes. "Wait your turn, buddy."

Clint huffed and watch as Tony squirt some of the lotion on his hand and apply it on his face, and his neck... and his arms, his legs-

"Uh, Clint?"

The archer snapped back to reality and stared at the brunette, who raised a concerning eyebrow while holding out the half empty bottle of lotion. "You okay?" Clint nodded frantically. "Never better."

Tony just stared at the other suspiciously before turning to the food, licking his lips hungrily and grabbing a paper plate. "So much food..." Clint chuckled and leaned closer. "You know- you should try the sandwiches. I hear they're delicious." Tony snorted but grabbed one, setting it on his plate. "Because you made it."

Clint feigned shock. "What? You mean you have never tried my famous and award-winning deli sandwiches? Oh sweetheart- you've been missing out." Tony blushed slightly at the endearment, but pushed it aside. "Whatever. I don't think they're that great as you make it out to be-"

Oh, heavens.

Clint smirked knowingly as he watched Tony devour the food. "What did I tell you. Now don't eat too much- there's still more food to be eaten. And trust me, you do not want to miss my delicious BBQ ribs."

Bruce sat quietly on the sofa in the empty living room of the communal floor, lips pressed together in concentration as he read a physics paper on his Stark tablet. He completely missed the blonde super soldier stepping out of the elevator and making his way towards him. "Bruce."

The said man looked up and adjusted his glasses, surprised. "Oh, captain. Did you need something?" Steve nodded. "Yes actually. Have you heard from Tony or Barton recently?" Bruce's eyebrows rose in suspicion. "No... why?"

Steve's composed look faltered for a moment. "Nothing. Just curious. If you do, please contact me." Bruce gave him an blank look. "You know the number to Tony's phone- why don't you call him?"

The super soldier bit his lip. "I don't- I mean-" Bruce hid a smirk. "It's alright captain. I'll be sure to contact you when either one phones me." Steve nodded and proceeded to head out, stopping in his tracks when he heard the scientist mumble. "Excuse me?"

Bruce shrugged, hiding a smile. "Oh nothing. It's just Tony & Clint have been pretty close. They might not have time contacting us, you know- who knows what they're doing in London right about now."

Steve's eyes widened slightly by that. He hesitated for a moment, before turning to the scientist. "How close?"

Bruce titled his head, feigning innocence. "Oh? You haven't known? Why- they're been awfully close for awhile. I mean, it's started after they moved in together. They've been to amusement parks, and hung out a lot more often, and once Tony was so worried when Clint went out and hadn't been back for awhile. He personally went out to look for him."

He bit the inside of his mouth to hid a smile at the way Steve looked. "Coulson also told me that he once walked in on the two. Heard they were on the floor, Clint pinning Tony to the rug and both looked disheveled and out of breath."

Steve's posture faltered in shock, shaking a little as he clenched his fists tightly. He closed his mouth and pressed his lips in a thin line, his eyebrows furrowing in obvious anger. He looked downright terrifying when he was jealous.

"O-oh." Steve stuttered, voice straining. He took a deep breath. "I see. Well, I will see you later Bruce. I'll be at the gym if you need me." Steve announced as he walked(stomped) to the elevator, grabbing the boxing tape on his way.

Bruce waited until Steve disappeared into the elevator, before laughing. "Oh man- that really was fun." He hummed as he grabbed the Stark tablet again, pleased with himself. No one breaks his best friend's heart and gets away with it.

A few minutes later Natasha walked into the living room, eyebrows furrowed. "What happened to Steve?" Bruce smiled as he swiped through the tablet. "Oh nothing- just told him about how I'll call him when Clint or Tony contacts. Which seems unlikely- considering how close they've been."

Natasha stood a little straighter at that, crossing her arms. "H-how close?"

Bruce just smiled and placed his tablet on the coffee table, turning his full attention to her. "Oh? You haven't known?"

Clint watched as Tony turned his back to the fountain, closing his eyes and clutching tightly to the penny in his hand. He smiled once he saw Tony throw it over his head, plopping right into the clear water. "What'd you wish for?"

Tony turned to him, grinning. "Can't say. It won't come true if I tell you." Clint frowned. "Awww, why not? Promise I won't tell anyone. We can do a pinky promise." Tony laughed. "No way."

Clint sighed. "Fine. I'll find out eventually." Tony rolled his eyes and handed him a penny, motioning to the fountain. "Oh- I have to?" Tony gave him a look. "Okay! Okay, fine."

Tony smiled, watching as Clint slowly closed his eyes and rubbed small circles on the coin in his hand. The brunette squinted as he heard the archer mumble quietly, and clapped as he watched him throw his penny over, landing slightly close to where his landed. "Great. Let's go?" Clint smiled and nodded.

The duo walked side by side, occasionally walking past a few people, who paid no attention to them whatsoever. Their guess is not recognizing Tony with his newly-shaven face.

"Man, they really cannot recognize you at all." Clint pointed out as they passed by the 10th person, who was jogging and listening to music, glancing at them once and turning back to the pathway. Tony pouted. "I know. It's so weird. I'm used to a few autographs and pictures, but I've got nothing."

Clint snorted. "Better this way. Right?" Tony chuckled. "Right. It's like-"

Tony stopped talking and gaped, staring ahead. Clint furrowed his eyebrows in confusion before following the brunette's gaze, eyebrows shooting up in bewilderment. Catching them by surprise were a group of people suddenly jumping out of unknown hiding places, startling the majority of the people who watched them in curiosity. The duo watched as a young girl, 16 perhaps, walked in the middle carrying a boom box.

Clint smiled. Flash mob.

The other people seemed to catch on, smiling and clapping as the group began to dance and freestyle in the middle of the park. Tony grinned and turned to Clint, motioning to go closer.

"Oh no, no, no. Sooner or later more people are going to join, then at least one person will grab either one of us to join them." Tony rolled his eyes, pulling him closer despite the protests. "Stop being a party pooper and just enjoy it." Clint huffed, but smiled softly as he watched the group of dancers clap their hands and motion the crowd to follow.

"I told you it's getting bigger." Clint said as he watched a few people run to the middle and copy the dance-moves. Tony ignored him, humming to the Party Rock Anthem. "It's now or never until someone pushes us in."

Tony turned, raising an eyebrow. "Are you scared or something?" Clint snorted. "No." Tony stood up straighter, challenging. "You hate being the center of attention?"

"Nope."

"You're claustrophobic."

"Uh-uh."

"You secretly got injured on a last mission and wanted to hide it."

"Tony, we were playing Frisbee a few hours ago."

The said man huffed in annoyance, crossing his arms. "What is it then? You can't dance?" Clint suddenly froze at that, and Tony smiled in victory. "That's it! You really can't dance? It's not that hard."

Clint frowned. "It's not as easy as it looks. Besides, it's nothing. I can't dance, big whoop." Tony turned to the dancers. "Look, it's not as hard as it looks. I mean, just follow the steps and you're good to go."

"I'd like to see you try." Clint muttered, and Tony shrugged. "Okay."

Clint furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, then gaped as Tony left his side to join the dancers, finding a place in the group and instantly danced along perfectly with the others.

Wow. He was a great dancer.

Clint smiled to himself once he caught Tony's expression, smiling wide and laughing as he danced enthusiastically. He looked so handsome like this, happy and energetic. Not having any care in the world and just dancing like no tomorrow. He had a beautiful smile.

He clapped along with the crowd, his eyes never tearing away from the billionaire. His face scrunched up in confusion as Tony took a glance in his direction and went over to whisper to a dancer, who nodded and agreed to whatever Tony said.

"Alright, alright!" The dancer said over the music, catching everyone's attention. "Now this dance floor is welcome to anyone who wants to join. And I mean anyone. Whether you can dance or not, It's all about getting everyone to let go and starting the weekend off right. If you can't dance, it's cool! We won't judge."

Half of the crowd cheered, while a few were hesitant and gave quiet mumbles. Tony smiled and nudged the dancer, as if on cue. "Alright, here's how this'll play out. All the dancers will pick someone from the crowd to dance with them, and we will not accept any excuse whatsoever." Clint's eyes widened, catching on to the idea.

Fuck.

Before Clint even had the time to move, he felt his hand being grab by a familiar man. He turned to stare at the grinning brunette, frowning. "You traitor." Tony laughed, ignoring that comment and pulling him to the center. "Tony wait- I can't! Seriously Tony, I don't-"

Tony looked at him with those big, wide brown eyes that had Clint's heart melting. He gulped at the soft smile from the other man's lips. "C'mon Clint, it's our vacation! Trust me, okay? We don't have to dance for a long time, but just this once. It'll mean a lot to me." Clint stared at him reluctantly as he bit his lip in hesitation, then sighed, nodding. Tony beamed and pulled him completely to the center, gesturing to the dancer.

The dancer nodded and looked around to smile at the other people who got picked, before pressing play. Clint's lip quirked into a smile once the familiar music caught his ears. "Jailhouse Rock?"

Tony grinned mischievously, nodding. "Well if we're going to teach you how to dance, we have to start with the king." Clint chuckled, pulling Tony closer to him and mirroring his grin.

"Let's rock n' roll."

"Maybe I should call you the King now." Tony mocked, laughing. Clint smiled, rolling his eyes. After an eventful day full of playing Frisbee, sun-basking, fountain wishing, bird-feeding, hiking, dancing with a group of strangers in a flash mob, and having a food fight from the leftovers of their picnic, the duo ended up sitting along the river bank, skipping stones and talking underneath the bright full moon.

"I had moves I didn't even know I could do." Clint joked, making Tony laugh again. "It was hilarious. After Jailhouse Rock you personally requested to dance to every Elvis hit out there. You didn't even stop after that, and danced again when MJ came up."

Clint pouted. "Too bad they cut off my dance short because their boom box 'ran out of batteries'." Tony laughed once more, clutching his stomach. Clint smiled and reached for another stone, throwing it to the water. "Thanks."

Tony calmed down and stared at him, tilting his head. "What for?" Clint shrugged. "I mean, for everything really. For getting me to dance, for this vacation, for being there when I needed someone. Just... thank you." Tony smiled, reaching for his hand. "Thank you, too. I wouldn't have ever gotten through my break up without you."

Clint pursed his lips, hesitant. "Do you... do you miss, Steve?"

Tony was surprised by the sudden question, but didn't seem any affected. "Honestly... yes. But at the same time, I don't. I mean, miss how close we were, how great we got along and how we'd always take the time out of our day to teach him about technology and the 21st century while he taught me how to spar. I'd miss how he'd tell me all these stories on WWII, and how it was like in his time since I was so fascinated on it. And I'd miss how casual we were, how we would pass on a few jokes and tease each other with insults and not get offended. But, I don't miss his kisses. I don't miss sleeping in the same bed, or cuddling whenever it just us two. I don't miss the dirty talk or the sex we had. I... I don't miss being his boyfriend. I just miss how easy it was being with him instead of how we are now. Distant, and awkward, and we probably won't even last in the same room with each other more than a minute."

Clint nodded, understanding. It was exactly how he felt with Natasha now. "So, if he were to apologize, you'd forgive him?" Tony nodded. "I won't hold a grudge. Basically a lot of shitty things have happened in my life. I just try to keep peace with as many as possible. But I wouldn't take him back if he asked me."

Tony turned and stared at the archer. "What about you? Do you miss Natasha?"

Clint snorted. "Yes and No. Just like you, I miss being close with her, but I don't miss being her boyfriend. Besides, she got the captain with her now. I'm honestly happy for her, it's great that she ended up with a better guy."

Tony stared at him in shock. "What? What do you mean 'better guy'? Clint, you think Steve is better than you?" Clint furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "I mean, isn't it obvious? I'm just not that buff, heroic guy Natasha wanted. It's cool."

"No it's not cool." Tony argued, sitting up straighter. "How in the hell would you ever think Steve is better than you? He's no where near compared to how amazing you are Clint. I just- what?"

Clint eyes widened. "You think I'm better than Captain America?" Tony nodded without doubt. Clint was flabbergasted. "W-what? How?"

"Don't you see? Steve is no where near your level. I mean, you're so amazing and sweet and kind. You always make me laugh, and keep me happy. You remember exactly the kinds of things I like, and are considerate about people's feelings. You know how to brighten a day, and you'd rather have fun and let go instead of being a boring stick in the mud. You're talented and skilled in what you do, and you know damn well you're just as capable as being another James Bond. You aren't stoic and fearful like assassins are meant to be. Once you're off duty you go back to the fun loving and crazy Clint Barton that I've managed to fall in love with-"

Shit.

Clint blushed after hearing Tony's slipped confession. He was in love with him, too?

"I-I-" Tony stuttered, trying to look anywhere else but Clint's gaze. "What I meant to say was-"

Clint pulled Tony closer, faces inches apart. He gave Tony a soft, sincere smile and said "I'm in love with you too." Tony's eyes widened, nodding his head slowly and managing a soft "Oh." The other laughed, tangling their fingers together. "You're no where near Natasha either."

Tony gulped. "How so?"

"Let's see. For one thing, you aren't an assassin. Just like you said about assassins having no emotion, that's what I've felt Natasha was most of the time. It never really hurt to crack a smile once in awhile. You're you, you weren't trained, or born, or enhanced to be the amazing superhero you are today. When you get pushed down, you come back bigger and better. You have the best sense of humor, and won't take a joke seriously. You've shown me that even you can get hurt, and broken-hearted, and betrayed. But not even that will get you down. You're amazing and that's why I fell for you."

Tony surged up and kissed him, mustering as much emotion as he can. Clint kissed back with loving care, his fingers threading through Tony's hair while he tried to savor every minute of it. Tony hummed through the kiss, an arm wrapping around Clint's neck while the other cupped the side of his face.

Slowly they both pulled back, panting and smiling goofy at each other. They stared at each other's eyes and both managed to whisper softly at the same time "I love you."

They both laughed like idiots after that, noticing how stupid they were for not realizing each other's feelings until now. The light moment slowly died down though once Clint leaned forward and smiled knowingly at Tony for another kiss.

Tony was happy to oblige.

The two laid together in bed, Tony laying comfortingly on Clint's chest while Clint sung softly in his ear. One hand ran through Tony's soft locks while the other was wrapped tenderly around his waist. Tony smiled, breaking the silence. "You know, this is exactly how we were the day Steve & Natasha broke up with us."

Clint chuckled softly, remembering. "We were on the couch and needed a warm body to be with after that heart-breaking realization our lovers left us for each other." Tony sighed, nodding. "That was the day we both confessed how fucked up our lives were and how we messed up the best thing in our lives."

"That was the day we also called each other by our first names, too." Tony smiled.

"And now look where we are now, happy and together and oh so in love." Clint grinned, pressing a chaste kiss to his forehead. "Yeah. I didn't think I'd find love again, until I got to know you."

Tony bit his lip, raising his head to stare at his boyfriend with obvious hesitation. "Do you really? What if you, I mean- What if you leave just like the others?"

Clint stared back for a long moment, before cupping Tony's face tenderly. "I know what it feels like to be cheated on, never again. I promise you Tony, I will never try to hurt you or anyone else like they did to us. I love you, and I'd want to spend the rest of my life with you."

That night they laid asleep together, holding each other close and knowing that their broken hearts have been mended.

Pepper walked into the communal floor dazed, staring at Bruce who just rose an eyebrow. "Is something wrong?"

The strawberry blonde just furrowed her eyebrows and stared questioningly at him. "Um, not exactly wrong. It's just, well- do you have any idea why Steve's broken at least 4 punching bags and why Natasha's managed to wreck every thing in the shooting range?"

Bruce stared at her for a moment, before bursting into uncontrollable laughter. Pepper frowned, confused. "Bruce?"

The said man managed to calm down, wiping a tear and adjusted his glasses. He gave her a smile and patted the empty seat next to him on the couch. "You want to hear how much Clint and Tony have been awfully close for awhile?"

Pepper grinned knowingly. "Oh really, how close then?"

Bruce just laughed. "Oh? You haven't known?"
