Um. Hi guys. I'm still alive. I understand if you hate me. One word; school.

The sound of a door being knocked on was heard.

"Come in." Said an authoritative voice.

Hearing the acknowledgment on the other side, the person opened the door to let himself through. In walked a man who wore a suit with glasses sitting on his nose bridge. He stood directly in front of a desk that seated a figure behind it.

"What do you have for me, Kirishima." Inquired the man.

"Kasumi-san was found deceased, Sir." Kirishima informed his boss.

His boss mentally frowned at the information delivered to him. Minami Kasumi was a person meant as a one night stand to relieve his sexual desires, he is an adult male after all. She wasn't involved in any of his illegal businesses, so he was uncertain of the reason why she was dead. Perhaps, she wasn't murdered, but instead it was a freak accident. His assistant hadn't even discussed how she died, so he shouldn't start assuming ridiculous conclusions.

Kirishima, as if knowing his boss' thoughts, announced, "She died of blunt force trauma to the head. Causing this to be a homicide, Sir."

The boss immediately thought that an adversary, or adversaries, of his was retaliating against him. How foolish of them if they were, Kasumi was just an object to waste his time with. All they managed to do was irk him, which was ill-advised in his opinion. In anyone's opinion actually.

"Investigate what she was doing the night she was murdered." Commanded the boss.

"Already done." Kirishima confessed.

The boss inwardly smirked, he knew he liked Kirishima for a reason. His assistant wasn't afraid of doing things individually without asking him.

"Several surveillance footages showed that she was hastily running before she was assaulted by two men."

The authoritative figure internally sighed. Amateurs. There wasn't anything he hated more than those who could not cover up their own tracks. Certain that his fellow assistant was capable of this with only so little information, he voiced;

"Capture them."

"Yes, Asami-sama." Kirishima replied as he bowed and left the room, the door closing with a soft click.

The park. His favorite place to go to. He was able to mingle with other animals in this vicinity, of course with the other strays mostly. Rarely did he approach an animal with a owner. Many owners come here with their pet to play with one another. Also, just because he disliked humans didn't mean he couldn't be around them, sometimes he even liked to play pranks on them as a matter of fact.

"Mommy! Look a kitten!"

Akihito turned his head towards the sound of the high-pitched squeal. It sounded awfully a lot like a pig, if he did say so himself. There it was, the source of the unpleasant noise, a human only a few feet away. A girl, perhaps between five to seven years old, with her hand raised and index finger pointed in his direction, signifying that the said exclamation was directed to him.

Kitten?!

He knew he was fairly petite, but he wasn't that small! Even though his close feline friends said so otherwise.

"Stop! It's dirty!" Shouted the mother to her daughter, who was currently making her way towards Akihito.

That word. Dirty.

You're the filthy ones. He thought sourly.

With that said, the mother promptly grabbed her daughter's arm and pulled her away. Akihito watched the pair leave from his vision. It seemed that was all he was doing recently. Watching. Exactly what he did when he witnessed the murder of the prostitute, which only transpired a few days ago.

Guessing that it was time to leave too, he made his way out of the area to wander around aimlessly.

SORRY FOR THE SHORT UPDATE, LIKE REALLY. Um. Ok. EXPLANATION TIME. I feel like I expressed Akihito really bad. So basically he doesn't like humans(obviously), but he can tolerate being around them. For example, I hate birds(true), but i'm not gonna kick one everytime I see one. And this fic is only going to be around 5 chapters, give or take a few. Additionally, sorry if this fic came out as angsty because it's not! I just REALLY love angst and mindlessly write like it(?) Do people even read this? Lol.
