Eyes of gold and blue trained on the other's form, never once looking elsewhere. Their focus only on each other, their bodies moved together in a beautiful display of synchrony. Hair of two different shades of blonde swayed with their erratic movements. Exposed skin glistened a light perspiration as their muscles were put to good work. They breathed harder from the combined effort as their hearts kept a steady, fast-paced beat. They'd been at it for a while now and weren't planning on stopping anytime soon…

That is, until Edward stepped on Winry's foot with his heavy metal one.

"Ow!" she cried, hopping backwards with her foot in her hands.

Ed winced, "Sorry, sorry!"

"Damn it, Ed. We've done this a thousand times. You'd think you'd be better at it by now," Winry complained.

The jibe at his ineptitude made him frown, "Not everyone's good at this sort of thing, ya know. Why do I need to learn how to dance anyway?"

"Because the wedding is coming up soon and I won't have my future husband having two left feet." Ed would learn how to dance even if it killed him. Her wedding would be spectacular and when all of the guests looked upon her dancing in her gorgeous gown with her husband, they would be utterly amazed. Just thinking about the wedding made Winry squirm with joy and her eyes alight in stars the same way they did when she looked at new automail pieces and tools.

Ed shook his head as he watched his fiancé fantasize for the umpteenth time about the coming wedding, "Tell me why I'm doing this again?"

Winry snapped out of it and smiled smugly, kissing him on the cheek, "Because you love me."

"Oh yeah, that," Ed smiled down at her with strong affection.

"Yeah, that," she nearly snorted, rolling her eyes. "Let's try again. From the beginning."

Edward groaned in dismay but complied. Because he loved her. He really, really did.

I'm on a roll with these "misunderstanding" drabbles. WHOO! XD

Anyone have any suggestions for another drabble involving the theme of misunderstanding? No promises I'll write it, but I'd like to hear people's ideas.
