"We'll be fine, brother. Just stay close to me." Loki glanced at the blonde with wide eyes, anxiety seizing his body and making him tremble. Thor looked down at his brother and frowned. "I said not to worry Loki! Today shall be fun!"

Loki nodded meekly, then hurried to grab the other's hand as they walked into the schoolhouse. Immediately, Thor ran off to join the others, leaving the smaller boy standing at the entrance nervously, not daring to meet another's eyes. "Thor," he called out quietly, but to no avail. Thor was busy occupying himself with the other children, already lost in running around. Loki watched him with wistful eyes, then took a tentative step in his direction. "Thor, please brother... I need you..." Sighing in a mix of unease and frustration, the boy stomped over to a chair and sat down with a huff, his arms crossed tightly over his chest.

"This is not fun," he muttered. Spotting paper and crayons on the table, he began to color angrily. "Idiotic Thor, how dare he mislead me and call this event 'fun'?! I will not stand for such...such horrible lies!"

His page was full of violent scribbles and slashes of red, black, and purple.

"Thor you barbarian... Leaving such a child as myself to fend against the brutes of this school... I hate y-" Just as he was going to finish his masterpiece, the crayon mysteriously disappeared from his hand. His head snapped up to see another child breaking it in half. Loki's eyes widened in anger, and as he rose out of his seat, fists clenched, he pointed at the child and began to bawl his eyes out.

"Th-Th-Thor! I demand y-you to seize that ch-child this instant! Thor!"

The blonde boy immediately rushed up, raising a threatening fist at the child until he retreated. By then, Loki was sitting on the floor and hyperventilating, tears streaming down his face. Loki felt a hand slip into his own. He looked up to see his brother, silent tears trailing down his cheeks as well.

"I-I said to st-st-stay with me!"

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"Me too!" They embraced each other, heaving with their tears, and stayed that way until Odin came to pick them up
