Someone call for a revamp?
It had taken five long and painful years, but it was finally finished. The journey that had taken her all throughout the land of Elrios. After the journey was over, her comrades slowly started to disappear.
Chung was the first to leave to restore the land his father once ruled over. Rena was next, going back to the home of the elves to continue living in peace. Raven was then offered a job as the Commander of the new Velder Forces, as his skill with a blade had indeed improved since his Nasod arm was deactivated. Finally, Aisha left with both Elsword and Elesis back to the Village of Ruben to live the rest of their life in piece.
Eve, who had learned that even Androids can have emotion, stood at her Preservation Capsule. It took a while, but she was finally able to restore it to how it was before an El fragment flew into it. Even after unlocking the Code: Battle Seraph, and getting rid of all her emotions, Eve wanted to revive her race again, except to make sure it was done right instead of how King Nasod turned into. She said it was the logical thing to do from her data. And so she stood there. A brief thought (or surge of corrupted data if you asked her) ran through her mind. What of her friends? Her Allies?
"Data Check; Chance of existence of Elsword, Aisha, Rena, Raven, Chung, Elesis in projected time frame of resurrection of proper Nasod Race. Projected Time frame of Ninety-Eight human years. Elsword- 6.837%. Aisha- 10%. Rena- Unknown%. Raven- 14%. Chung- 4.2%. Elesis- .625%. Data confirms that should I go into the pod, it will be very unlikely that I will see them again. Checking for Anomalies in Data... None found." Eve paused before entering her Capsule. The old Eve would have turned around, and would have tried to stay with her friends, however, that was the old Eve. This was the newer, better Eve.
"Confirming all data necessary for resurrection... Data present." The Last Nasod raised her hand and pressed a small switch. "Capsule starting up. All pieces of equipment are functioning properly. Countdown to preservation starting. 10 seconds till preservation... 7." Eve started counting down.
"6." She sunk lower into her chair, not wanting to be re-awoken with her limbs stuck in a to awkward position.
"5." Silence.
"4." An inhale.
"3." Exhale.
"2." Her eyes shut.
"1." The last image she processed before being preserved was one that was in the past, when they were all in Fieta Village, Elsword talking animatedly with Rena, Elesis and Chung about the dungeon they recently went through, Aisha starting the campfire with a small smile on her face, and Raven standing quietly behind them all, looking towards the rising moon face filled with regret and longing. That image stayed at the forefront of her data banks for the next ninety-eight years.
Seventy-Seven years later in an alternate world, the reign of Dark Lord Voldemort had begun, along with the First Wizarding War. Thousands were killed, and Tens of Thousands were tortured by the hands of his minions, the Death Eaters.
Eleven years after the war began, it ended with the Dark Lord being destroyed by a one year old baby. Ten years after the fateful night, Harry Potter with the help of his friend Ronald Weasley, defeated a Giant troll, gaining the eternal friendship of Hermione Granger.
That Night, deep in the forbidden forest, a bright light shone for a few minutes. There was a quiet droning sound, along with a hiss of hydraulics working to open a lid.
And Eve's Eyes flew open once again.
Eve's yellow-orange eyes scanned the surrounding area. "Data Check, Location... Location Unknown. Time Period... Ninety-eight years after preservation." She turned her head around. "Scanning for Nasods... Scan reports one deactivated Nasod within the next 5000 Kilometers. Improbable. Pod reports that Nasod Race was indeed resurrected." Eve paused. 'What if they were evil like the previous resurrection? Then surely someone would have destroyed them, not deactivate them.' Eve reasoned in her head. "Scanning for Life Signs... Scans report nearest Living Being is in 1.524 Kilometers." Eve headed off towards the direction of the life signs. Eve kept an eye on the distance of the nearest life sign, and it was closing rapidly. Judging by her speed, and the speed of the incoming life form, it couldn't possibly be human. Within seconds, it became clear what the life sign was. A giant spider leaped from the forest around her, and lunged straight for Eve. In the blink of an eye, Eve's arm was raised, and a laser flew out of it, nailing the creature in the face. It was instantly incinerated. "Creature destroyed. Self Defense system fully operational." With that little note tucked away into her data banks, she continued towards the big cluster of life signs north of her. The forest started to dwindle in size and soon, Eve's eyes saw a glorious castle before her eyes. "Observation: Castle appears larger than both Wally's castle and Velder Castle. Large life signs are centered in one part of the castle. Beginning investigation."
With the Code: Battle Seraph, Eve's trip to the castle's main courtyard took less than two minutes. Her enhanced speed was able to take her to right in front of the doors of a room that was labeled 'Great Hall' by a small almost unnoticeable sign. With no hesitation, Eve pushed open the door, and walked into the Great Hall, where every single pair of eyes went straight to her, all eating and conversation stopped. An Elderly Man stood up from what appeared to be a throne at the far end of the hall, and his voice, while calm and quiet, radiated power.
"Who might you be, young ma'am?" He asked. With Eve's enhanced eyesight, she saw a stick in his hand.
Just as Eve opened her mouth to respond, A man with a purple turban burst through the large doors and screamed loudly, "TROLL! TROLL IN THE DUNGEON!" He was halfway to the middle of the Hall, when he stopped running. "Thought you ought to know." The turban-wearing man said into the now deathly silent hall. He then promptly fainted. 'Estimated Time until human panic starts: 3, 2, 1.' As soon as Eve's calculations ended at one, all of the younger humans started yelling and screaming, running to and fro, only to be stopped by the Elderly man shouting aloud, "SILENCE!" Within moments, all of the younger ones stopped what they were doing, and looked towards the man at the end of the hall.
As he gave out instructions to the everyone, Eve noticed that two young boys were walking out of the hall. Eve took the moment of distraction and followed them, barely picking up the words, "She doesn't know about the troll!" The boys broke into a sprint, which Eve caught up with quickly, but still hid in the shadows of the hallway. They soon stopped in front of a door, where the Red-headed boy said, "The trolls in there! We can lock it in, find Hermione, and tell the professors!" Eve scanned for life signs, and indeed was the huge life sign of the troll in there, but also there was a smaller and more frail life source. As Eve realised what had just happened, so did the Black haired and Red haired boys, from the loud and high pitched scream. "HERMIONE!" As they both opened the door, Eve walked in behind them, and saw the huge mountain troll in front of her.
"Data Check, Troll. 15,000 hit points. Eve, weakest attack, 17,000 damage. Victory imminent. Particle Ray!" Her hand flew up just as the troll turned to look at the new noises that were being made. A laser pierced it's skull, sending blood and brain matter all over the ceiling and wall opposite of her. "Calculating casualties. Red Hair Boy, safe and fully healed. Brown Haired Girl, safe and small bruising. Black Haired Boy, safe and cursed." Eve's eyes looked directly into the black haired boy's deep emerald green eyes, which were filled with awe and curiosity. Both the other two looked to distracted by the clearly dead troll. "We should leave." And soon, the group of frightened children and the Queen of Nasods left the girls' bathroom with a dead troll on the floor.
'Data Check, Bathrooms. First time in bathroom, no baths seen, only stalls and trolls. Conclusion: Humans have a weird way of naming things.'
The Queen of the Nasods' footsteps clicked with a trace of elegance throughout the hall as she and the small humans behind her walked towards the direction of the great hall.
"Um… Excuse me…. Miss?" Eve's glowing eyes locked onto the female human who spoke up. Her pace stopped as she fully turned to face her.
"Yes?"
"Um…. What are you? Who are you? Why did you save me? What magic did you just do? How did you find me? What happened? I don't understand…"Hermione inquired. Without little time for the Males to react to the Female's question, Eve replied.
"Inquiry one response: I am a Nasod. More specifically, the Queen of my race. Inquiry two response: My Name is Eve. Inquiry three response: Unknown. Inquiry four response: I did not use magic. I used Nasod technology to produce that ray, using the energy I acquired in this castle. Inquiry five response: I sensed for life forms. Inquiry six response: I defeated target Troll, saved your life, and gained 609 Experience points." By the time Eve finished, Harry and Ron had stopped trying to comprehend what was happening.
Hermione, wanting to know even more, opened her mouth and began to speak when Eve raised a hand for quiet. "Sensors indicate that someone is watching us. Show yourself." To the students' surprise, Minerva McGonagall was suddenly standing before them, her disillusionment charm disappearing from her..
"What are you doing to these students!?" Hollered the Head of Gryffindor house, while pointing her wand at Eve.
"Defense Mode Activated. Run Scan: Processing. Hit Points 700. Status of Target: Protective. Unneeded defense mechanism. Defense mode deactivated." The Queen stoically raised her arms in the human universal sign of surrender. "I mean no harm to these students. I was only taking them to shelter. Trolls usually respawn after getting slain." McGonagall's threat level decreased as she lowered her wand.
"Respawned? What?" Both Ron and McGonagall looked confused as Harry questioned what she said.
Hermione spoke up. "Miss Eve-I mean Your Highness- pardon me but what do you mean respawn? Last time I checked, things just can't respawn in the actual word." Eve's shiny eyes locked onto the young child.
Instead of giving a verbal explanation, she simply raised her arm and shot out the nearby hall light with a quiet whisper. "Particle Ray." The Queen was impervious to McGonagall raising her wand towards her. "In precisely fifteen minutes, the exact same light with the exact same components will appear there without any outside interference." The students were amazed, but McGonagall wasn't having any thought about the light. She had just witnessed a being break a magical light that was enchanted to never break or go out. Her precious Gryffindor's could very well be in danger around this person, if she was even a person.
"Come with me please." Spoke McGonagall with a stern tone that made her students flinch. Eve sensed energy building up in the woman.
Her defense mode activated. "Scan initiated. Status of Target: Frightened. Scanning for threats. 1 threat found. Location of threat: precisely on the other side of floor labeled 'Dungeon'. Unnecessary emotion. Inquiry: What is wrong, madam?" The smallest feeling of worry flashed through her mind as she feared that the woman thought that she was a threat. She paused. 'Worry? Fear? Feeling? I do not understand. My emotions were terminated by my own hands. Why am I feeling?' Eve's body was then surrounded by a rope. Sense her thoughts were elsewhere, Eve did not pay attention to her sensors showing that the energy that gathered in the woman had released itself from the wand in the woman's hand.
McGonagall gave herself a small smile as her Incarcerous spell took ahold of the woman. As she began to move forward, however, Eve with her Basic Magic Training skill was able to break the ropes in no time flat with a simple flex of her limbs. "I believe that if you wanted me to come with you, you would have waited until I properly responded, not try and bound me. Fine, I will accompany you. Children." She spoke, looking towards the students of Hogwarts. "Stay here for another ten minutes. You looked interested in the fact of things respawning, and then should be the time it respawns. And you, specifically." Eve pointed at Harry, with the smallest smile upon her lips. "I shall leave you with Oberon." With a small clap, The Queen's assistant Oberon materialized inside the hallway. "Oberon, you are to stay with this child. You are to let no harm come to him. Understand?" Oberon nodded and stood behind Harry. Eve began to walk away, waiting for McGonagall to follow, when Harry spoke up.
"Um… Miss Eve! T-thank you for earlier! I'll make sure Oberon is taken care of!" Eve turned her head and gave Harry a small wave.
"It was nothing-"
"Harry. My name's Harry." Eve was taken aback. Most people never bothered to introduce themselves to her. No one except… her old friends. The Queen of the Nasod's felt a pang in her chest, and turned away. She refused to acknowledge McGonagall throughout the trip.
Much like she refused to acknowledge the tear running down her cheek.
Mere moments passed, and soon Eve and McGonagall were at the Headmaster's door. "You may enter." Came an elderly voice that seemed to radiate calmness from the other side of the mahogany door. With a gentle push from McGonagall, the door opened, and the ladies both stepped through. "Ah, you're the young lady from earlier! I hear you have defeated the troll for us. That must have been very terrifying for you."
Eve simply shook her head. "It was just a troll. I've seen worse." A brief flash of data flew through her mind and a picture of the countless enemies she and her friends have fought throughout their quest in Elrios.
"We are still in your debt, miss…?" Headmaster Dumbledore spoke; curious about whom they were in debt to.
Eve replied, "My name is Eve. It was only natural to protect the children; I do not expect an award for doing the right thing. In fact, I'm sure the children in question might need to be checked over; as there is a 95% chance that this is the first time they have seen violence." Dumbledore nodded in affirmation, and assured Eve.
"I have already sent our Healer, Madam Pomfrey, to go get the children and take them to the hospital wing. However I would like to ask," as soon as Dumbledore spoke the word 'ask' his eyes lost their twinkle. "What exactly are you doing here, Miss Eve?" Eve paused and thought to herself before finally answering.
"I do not know the answer to that question. The only thing I know for a fact is my name, and that I'm trying to save someone. Data suggests that there is a 74% chance that I will find the person here." The Queen of Nasods smiled inwardly to herself. 'While it's true I'm trying to save someone, it is more like I'm trying to save my race. And with the magical powers of this school, there is a chance that if any of them are still alive, this school will draw their attention…. I sure hope that they are okay…' Eve shook her head, trying to get rid of that thought. 'I shouldn't be able to hope. What's happening to me?' Soon Dumbledore spoke up.
"I see. Well, Miss Eve, you are more than welcome to stay at the school, but in return, I'd like for you to be a guard of sorts. You see if a troll did manage to get in the school, other types of creatures and threats to the students could manage to get in as well. I'd like for you to be able to take care of them, as our Groundskeeper has a lot to watch over as it is, and the Castle's caretaker is getting on in his old age, and can only really clean at this point. Would this be an acceptable arrangement?" Eve thought it over.
"Beginning Data Check. Highest Hit Points in a 1000-Kilometer Radius: 563,478. Strongest Attack Possessed in a 1000-Kilometer Radius: 129,853. Strongest Attacks Possessed by Eve: Lunatic Scud- 9,841,025 hit points; Code: Thunderbolt- 8,769,443 hit points; Psychic Artillery-879,412,365 hit points. Data proves staying is beneficial for both parties. End Data Check." Eve looked straight into Dumbledore's eyes. "Where will I be staying?"
Once Eve was shown to her room, she saw that the door to the entrance of her room was in fact a portrait of an elegant looking lady. "Hello there! It's been quite a while since I've been used as an entrance portrait. Have they told you how to use one of us before?" The queen shook her head. "That's fine. They usually don't remember to tell people anyways. Well, you set a password, and I'll only open for the people that know the password. It can be anything you want, and you can change it at any time. So, what will it be?" Eve spent no time thinking.
"Elrios. I would like the password to be Elrios." The elegant lady nodded, and promptly opens the door. As Eve stepped inside, she saw what appeared to be a living room, except it was unnecessarily large. The color of the furniture was a light turquoise and it seemed as if the fireplace was already lit. She wandered around her common room, finding both a bathroom and a bedroom. There also was a relatively empty room, only holding a table and a chair. 'I could probably move my Stasis unit in here. I'd feel more comfortable with it.' Eve paused again, but did not bother to question her 'feeling' anything. The data might just be jumbled for being in stasis for a while. "Technically, I am here because of the agreement with the Headmaster. I should probably be on a constant watch. But how am I to tackle the problem of checking the whole castle?" Eve snapped her fingers as an idea came to her mind. "Dimension Link: Scout!" Soon enough, a Nasod scout drone appeared in front of her. "Elrios must still exist if I can still summon my Nasods. That means, maybe, I just was transported someone. Maybe my race was indeed resurrected~!" Joy spread throughout her body, ignoring the fact that she wasn't supposed to feel anything.
"Scout unit J-530 reporting for duty." Came the robotic voice of the drone, slightly disappointing Eve. 'Maybe this was one of the ones from before I went into Stasis…. Oh well.'
"J-530, I need you to continuously scan the area, and report to me if you sense any states of danger. Understood?"
"Affirmative, you're Majesty." The Queen of Nasods nodded in satisfaction, before exiting the room.
"I should probably go look for Harry and the other kids, and better make sure Oberon wasn't causing the kids any trouble."
Meanwhile, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Oberon were still in the hallway with the shattered light. "So, um, your name is Oberon right?" asked Harry timidly.
"That is correct." replied Oberon in a robotic fashion. Harry did not know what to speak about with him, as he had stayed completely silent the whole time he had been here. However, Hermione was curious.
"What exactly is your relationship to Eve?" Oberon turned his helmet to face her.
"She is my master. I am to do as she wishes, only disobeying if it conflicts with her personal safety." Hermione's face turned to one of horror.
"So you're a slave!?" There was a pause from Oberon.
"In a sense, yes. However, I feel that my situation is that of a servant." Hermione's face lessened in horror, but was still appalled.
"But humans shouldn't be treated as slaves or servants! It's not right!"
"You are correct. Humans shouldn't be treated as slaves or servants. Her Royal Highness doesn't consider me as a slave or servant. We are never lesser in her eyes. Besides, couldn't you say the Humans are slaves to their morals and emotions?"This made Hermione pause for a moment, where Harry here finally spoke up.
"But what does the Queen have to do with Eve?" Oberon finally made a human sound, a chuckle that did not seem to fit his appearance.
"Because Eve is the Queen." This statement was returned with different reactions.
"Bloody Hell!"
"What?"
"You're lying!"
Oberon stood impassively. "I was programmed not to lie. Eve is the Queen of Nasods." He reached up and removed his helmet. Underneath it was a face as pale as Eve's, with glowing yellow eyes, and pure white hair about mid-length. "Eve was able to resurrect me and my sister unit Ophelia. So far there are only five units counting me and Ophelia." This time, instead of Hermione asking a question, it was Harry surprisingly.
"What are Nasods?" Oberon instantly went through his data banks, and found a way to connect to the nearest data bank that wasn't a Nasod. Scanning through the data, he found that there was no such thing as Nasods on this planet, which he also found was called Earth. He did find something similar to Nasods though.
"Think of us as Androids, except we are more Human-like than them. While we may not bleed, there are a few of us that can feel as you humans can." As an example, he walked over to the wall, and punched it. He removed his hand, leaving a small hole where his hand was. "That hurt a bit, however, I have a regeneration ability, which let's me recover from any damage I might take. Her Highness is also able to regenerate." Oberon stopped speaking, and pointed off down the hall. "Someone is coming. I will be invisible soon, but still here. Do not worry." And true to his word, Oberon vanished, and Madam Pomfrey indeed was walking down the hallway.
The elderly healer made it to the children in no time flat, and began fussing over them. "The Headmaster tells me you were with a troll. I expected you three to come to the Hospital Wing immediately! You could have been hurt, or worse dead!" With more fretting over the children, she deemed that only Hermione was injured, and that with minimal bruising from being hit with planks of wood that flew off upon being hit with the troll's club. "Well, take this potion Ms. Granger, it will heal the bruising." And soon enough, the Healer walked away from them, satisfied that the students were truly safe. When the Healer was out of sight, Oberon appeared in front of them again.
"Harry, Ms. Granger, Orange-Haired boy, I suggest we leave the Hallway, as more people are coming this way." Ron looked miffed about being referred to as Orange-Haired boy, but stayed silent about saying anything. This Oberon could punch a hole in a magically reinforced wall, and barely even blink, not to mention his so called Queen could kill a troll with her strange magic. They all followed Oberon, who seemed to know his way around the castle as though he had been there all his life. However, Oberon had a sensor that let him know where Eve was, and set the shortest course to make it there. Soon enough, the group eventually found Eve, stepping out of a portrait.
"Eve!" Her eyes focused on Harry as he ran towards her. If she was surprised to see him, she didn't show it.
"What are you doing here? I was told you were going to be in the Hospital Wing." Eve questioned, wondering if she could trust the Headmaster if she was already lied to.
"Madam Pomfrey found us. She checked us all over, gave Hermione here a weak healing potion for her bruises, and left." However, before Eve could reply, Hermione nudged Harry and pointed look at him and Eve. "What?" Hermione's look at Harry intensified. "Why are you… OH!" Both Harry and Hermione bowed to Eve. "Your Majesty." They spoke, using the correct title for her. However, Ron still didn't believe it at all.
"Why are you lot all bowing to her? There's no bloody way she is a Queen! She's not even Human, let alone a witch! We shouldn't be bowing to things lesser than us!" Ronald tried to reason with his fellow students, however, instead of defending herself, Eve just took the insult stoically.
"What do you mean, Ron? We've been told by two separate beings that she is the Queen of her race, which demands respect for the position alone! It'd be like you walking up to Headmaster Dumbledore, and then telling him he wasn't the Headmaster!" Hermione spoke up. Harry however, didn't like how his friend was acting to his new friend.
"What's wrong with you Ron? You're acting like Malfoy does." Questioned Harry, who was still bowing to Eve. The other boy looked shocked and insulted.
"I'm not acting like Malfoy! Blimey, Harry you must be barmy bowing down to something. You're the Boy-Who-Lived!" Ron spoke with a conviction. "Everyone should be bowing to you! Not the other way around!" Eve stored that name in her archives and made sure to look into it later.
"Ron, do you even know what the name means? Tell me what you think it means." Harry's voice grew flat, and void of emotion. Eve didn't need to scan her databanks to know that what Harry was experiencing was the emotions Anger and Sadness merged together into one. Eve had seen that very same expression on Raven more times than she could count. She noticed that Hermione's eyes showed a hint of freight, and did look mildly afraid of what Harry might do, but overwhelming the fright was sadness. Before Eve could explore further into detail, Ron spoke up again, digging himself deeper into his own grave.
"Duh! The entirety of Wizarding Britain knows that it means you defeated Voldemort!"
"It means that I'm the only survivor of a mass murdering psychopath! I'm nothing special Ron, I just got lucky. No one knows how he was defeated; everyone just assumes I did something!" Eve faintly sensed that Harry was giving off a strong force.
"Harry, please calm down." Hermione plead, but Harry seemed to ignore her.
"All this fame Ron? All this money I have? I'd give it all away to have my family back." Harry vented.
"Why would you want that?" Ron didn't seem to understand what Harry was saying.
At this point, Harry's Magic was brewing a small storm around the five. "Oberon, protect young Hermione." Oberon simply nodded, and embraced Hermione in a protective manner, and moved her into Eve's common room. Eve stepped forward, and placed a hand on Ron's shoulder. "You should leave. This isn't going to end well for you." Ron however shrugged off her hand.
"Get your hand off me, you robotic freak!" Harry didn't take well to his statement.
"Do as she says Ron and LEAVE." The ambient magic surrounding the three all forced itself at Ron, and the young ginger wizard was flung towards the wall. When Ron stood up, both Harry and Eve disappeared into her room.
The two Gryffindors in Eve's room awkwardly sat on the couch in front of the fire place, neither of them saying a word as Eve continued to make preparations for the rest of her stay at Hogwarts.
"Thank you for coming for me, Harry." Hermione spoke after a few silent minutes. The reply she got was instantaneous.
"Don't worry about it." His reply came easy. "I couldn't just leave you there to die."
Eve decided now was the time to interject. "Inquiry: Do most humans have a distaste for my kind?"
Hermione was the one to speak up as Harry was at a loss of words. "We didn't know your kind existed, your Majesty. I'm certain that while some people may come to care for your kind, others will not."
Eve nodded, before promptly sitting on the love-seat in the room. "I comprehend. You do not need to keep calling me 'Your Majesty.' Eve will do fine. It is my designation after all." The young boy spoke up.
"Well, Eve, my name is Harry Potter and this here is my friend Hermione Granger." He introduced, and the young girl next to him seemed to be holding back tears.
"Do you really consider me your friend, Harry?" She asked, her voice about to break. He nodded and with that action, she started crying. Both Eve and Harry were slightly confused.
"Inquiry: Is it really so bad to be his friend, Hermione?" Harry seemed hurt, but wanted to know the answer as well. Hermione gave a huge smile as she laughed at the two of them.
"N-no it's not that! I've…" Her laughed then died down before she said with no small amount of embarrassment, "I've never had a friend before." Hermione admitted.
"Well, I've only had three Hermione. Hagrid, Hedwig and Ron. But with the way Ron has been acting, I'm not sure anymore. But I'd like to have another one. Is-is that okay?" He asked, hope lacing his voice. She nodded and quickly grabbed him in a hug.
Flashes of her old friends went through her mind, and Eve mentally sighed. She had to do something to get her mind off of her old friends. "Processing… Processing… Aha! Ophelia!" Eve gave a small clap, and her servant appeared, almost as if materializing into thin air.
Her voice was a lot smoother than Oberon's and nearly angelic to the humans in the room. "Oh! Dear Queen, it has been far too long since you called for me. Whatever can I do for you?" The Seraph simply acknowledged her.
"Ophelia, Oberon, Initiate Code: Recovery - Breaker."Almost instantaneously, the two Nasod circled Eve and inside the circle, electricity and a light pink energy seemed to surround the Nasod Queen. The two children simply watched in awe throughout this process, as the aura around her faded. With the action now finished, the energy and electricity now gone, the children could see that the minor dings and cuts, such as Oberon's injured hand, was healed in that short span of five seconds.
"What kind of magic was that?" Harry asked, but Hermione answered him instead of Eve.
"I don't think that was Magic, Harry." She began. "But that poses an even bigger question. Electricity isn't supposed to work in Hogwarts." Hermione looked to Eve for an answer.
"At this moment, I can not give you a decent explanation. I am not acquainted with your world. I need to know about this world's technology in order to accurately explain to you. Do either of you two know the names of the most technological places in this world?" Harry was of little use in this area, as he has only ever been to the Zoo outside of the Dursley's house. Hermione was able to give the information she needed though.
"Um… I believe that the most advanced places are in Japan and either Britain or America. But how would you-" She was cut off by Eve giving out orders to Oberon and Ophelia.
"Oberon, Ophelia, Initiate Knowledge Scan. Initiating Triangle Launcher." She quickly walked to the nearby window, and opened it up, pointing her arm outside. "Firing in 3…" Oberon and Ophelia morphed into their orb forms, and moved to Eve's open palm. "2…" A light blue hue enveloped her hand, and the two small orbs in it. Eve made eye contact with the two children. "I would cover you ears if I were you." And without waiting to see if they did, the countdown finished. "1. Fire." A loud bbvvvvvvvvvvvvvnnnnnn sounded, followed by a louder PEW, as the blue light shot from her hand, making a beam as the two Nasod's were shot to the nearest destination from that direction. They could materialize back here in a moment, but it was back to her queen, and only there. It was good that she could communicate with her assistants using her previous upgrade, Code: Empress. The two children magic users simply watched in awe.
"That was wicked!" Came Harry's voice while Hermione was just awe struck.
"Calculating. Results indicate that it will be at least a day until they get back." Eve estimated. "Please wait until then for a full explanation."
Hermione wasn't quite done yet though. "Wait, you said you're from another World, correct?" The Nasod nodded.
"Indeed. This is not the place I imagined I would reawaken. However, I do not think that this would be an appropriate conversation to have with Children. Should you get older, I do not think that it would be a problem for me to discuss it with friends." And then she froze. She realized her mistake as soon as she said it.
Do I consider them friends? Or did I merely open up the concept of being friends with them? I can not, I must leave my emotions behind, I must be strong for my race. I must bring them back!
But it was too late, before Eve could continue saying anything, she found herself being hugged by Hermione. "D-do you mean it Eve?" Her voice was broken, like she was holding back a sob.
… I can not have friends, as I must be strong. No emotions.
… However, learning more about this world may help me for the better, and it would be easier to do so with allies.
… Processing data.
Conclusion reached.
"I do not truly know you Hermione." She started. She felt the girl holding on to her stiffen up. "So I can not say we are going to be immediate friends. However, I could use some allies. Would you like to be my Ally?" The young witch nodded into her stomach, sobbing in joy. Eve placed a hand upon her head, gently massaging her scalp. "You to need to go your bed though, and I need to go make my rounds. You will probably hear it tomorrow, but I am now the Guard here at the Castle." It didn't take much more convincing as Harry yawned, as did Hermione. "Guide me to your beds, young ones." When they left the room, Ron was no longer there, and presumably went back to his room. Throughout the walk, Eve was making a mental map of the castle in order to not get lost, as she was lead to the Gryffindor Dormitories.
"This is our dorm." Hermione stated, "We will see you tomorrow right?" Eve nodded in affirmative, and the three parted ways, the first-years to bed, and her to roam the rest of the school, to remain on guard until morning, and mostly to finish her map.
