Summary: Parker is hiding from everyone. Where is he and why?

A/N: I'm sorry for the delay in this story. I have had a lot of changes in the last few years. We had a house fire and lost everything and are slowly replacing things. But here is the next chapter of this story.

Family found

"Parker is safe he just refuses to go home or talk to anyone but one person."

"Thank you for keeping him safe now I need to call his dad."

"You don't understand he refused to leave with me until I promised him that I would only tell one person where he was."

"Okay, who is this person so that I can get them and then let his dad know where he is?"

"If you will come with me I will take you to him."

The trip to the dinner was short but took too long for Bones. She hadn't been able to call Booth and let him know what was going on yet and to her it seemed ill founded to not let Parkers dad know that she had found him. But she keep going with the way things had been left.

Once they entered the dinner it only took a short time for Bones eyes to fall on a sleepy young man in a small back both.

"Parker, your okay!"

"Bones, I'm sorry if I worried you but I had to talk to someone and my dad has always told me that his father was the root of all his problems. I just thought if I went to talk to him maybe in some way it would help."

"Did it help?" She asked running her hand in his hair at the same time she pocket dials a number.

"NO, mom and Drew are still moving. Dad and you still aren't married. You're not my new mother. And to top it all off I still have to leave my friends, family, and the people whom mean the world to me to follow them to another content just cause they want to go." By the end it was hard for her to understand his words thru the heavy crying.

"Parker, sometimes life isn't what we want. Things don't always go as planned. Not everyone we want in our lives can stay. But I can promise you that the God your father and you believe in wouldn't give you the changes in your life if there wasn't a reason behind it.

The pair sat quietly until the front door slammed open and Rebecca ran in.

"Mom, I'm fine!" Trying to wiggle out of her arms.

"Parker, you ran off and left us all in a state of panic!" Still holding him tight to her as his struggling stopped as she continued to talk.

"Never run off like that again. You're father will be worried and I don't want to have to get a call when I'm over seas that you have taken off and left him."

"I'm sorry mom I didn't know what to do with the anger...Wait you said that you didn't want to get a call does that mean what I think it does?"

"If your father and don't mind to keep up with you and your promise me that you will keep your grades up and not get into to much trouble as you get older then.." What ever else she was going to say was cut off as the front door was flung open again.

"Dad, I can stay!" For the first time since Bones entered the dinner Parkers legs propelled him up and towards the door.

"You can? He can?" Booth asked his son and then quickly turning towards his ex.

"There are still a few things that need to be worked out first. But, yes if you and Dr. Brennan want him to stay here in DC with you then yes he can stay. I except weekly calls and anything goes wrong or if its a good thing I want to be one of the first few to know about it. Am I clear?"

"Yes, mama" Came from the three other people in the room.

Over the next few weeks the plans were made. Booth and Bones made sure that every legal I was dotted and all T's were crossed before the day that Rebecca and Drew left. It was a hard goodbye for both mother and son.

"I love you mom! Nothing will ever change that!" With out another word Drew and Rebecca boarded their plan and headed off before the mother in her stopped them both.

The next few months took a little getting use too. Parker was glad he had the summer to fit into his new home life. Like they had agreed Parker called his mother once a week sometimes more. But never less. As the school year started the forms folder was doubled and the school had to have a video talk with Rebecca to make sure that they were covered even thought they had the courts papers the school still wanted to hear it from her. When Parker had a ruff day Bones was always the first one he ran to his mom the second. But when he found a girl in his class passing him a check yes or no note his mom was the first to know.

As it does time flew and it was time once again for PD again this year Bones and Booth went but unlike last year Parker had not only one set of parents there. One was in the classroom with him the other was miles and an ocean away.

"Parker Booth, who is with you today?" His teacher asked.

"My daddy and mom are here and this" Pointing to the screen behind him "Is my mommy and dad in England!" That had gotten his classes to sit right and listen to what was going on.

Unlike last year no one was put in a bad spot. And no one was hurt by what had happened that day. It was a few days after PD when Booth finally asked his ex why she let Parker stay with them.

"I would love to tell you its cause I know he will need you in the next few years. Or that it was the only way to keep his friends. But the truth is he is safe and loved with you and I know he's happier with you then he would be here." Was the only answer he got.

Years later Parker thought back on the PD that changed his life. Knowing that while it was hard at the time and he Never ,Never, Never, wanted to life thought it again he would not have changed it for the world.
