A/N: Final chapter! This was mostly written alongside the previous one, hence the super-quick update.

Monica laughed again, smacking Chandler on the shoulder.
A lot of people would say that spending her first night at a European cityholed up in a hotel bedroom was a waste, but honestly, Monica couldn't think of anything better. At least not if Chandler was beside her.
They were both shattered after the day they'd had, Monica racing around to rescue Emily and Ross's wedding catastrophe, and Chandler trailing after an increasingly hyper Joey.
The rehearsal dinner had been gruelling as well, with her mom even crueller than usual, making pointed comments about Ross already getting married again, Monica's dress, hair and whatever else. Somehow though, with Chandler at her side, stroking her back and snarking under his breath, Monica had found it easier.
They'd danced together, she'd comforted him over bombing his speech, he'd cheered her up over a drunken guest and Monica was very much looking forward to walking down the aisle with him tomorrow.
The two of them had agreed to keep their relationship a secret from the others for now, knowing the rest of the gang were way too stressed to handle it, with Ross planning his wedding, Rachel dealing with his wedding and Phoebe still pregnant. And they didn't want everyone commenting and critiquing on their relationship – they'd both seen how that had made things harder for Ross and Rachel.
Monica also didn't want the girls judging her about going on a dating website – or even worse judging Chandler. He'd grown more comfortable with their relationship and her, his confidence slowly but surely building, but the last thing Monica wanted was Phoebe and Rachel unconsciously crushing him again.
So, they stayed quiet and stole every moment available – including hiding in a hotel room together, curled up in bed, rereading the beginnings of their relationship.
"Oh my god," Monica giggled, leaning back against the headboard. "You're literally talking about us playing foosball. Honestly, how did I miss it!?"
Chandler chuckled beside her, dropping his arm over her shoulder. "I was no better, look at everything you told me about your mum and Ross."
"And everything you confided about your parent's divorce!"
"We're hopeless."
They flicked through further, to them talking about their crushes and Chandler winced.
"God that's still so embarrassing," he groaned, dropping his head on her shoulder. "I literally sat there pouring my heart out about my crazy crush on you, to you!"
"Yeah, while I moped over my crush having a crush on someone else! Who was me!" Monica laughed, poking him teasingly. "Only we could manage that."
"Still," he sighed. "Then I shared an 'ideal woman' list that was practically a word for word description of you."
"I thought it was sweet," she said, kissing his jaw. "Plus, it felt good to go through and see how well I matched up."
"Unsurprisingly."
"I just can't believe I never knew how you felt," she exhaled, settling against the pillows. "You never let on."
He hummed. "Well, like I said in my emails, for ages it was never anything major, just a 'what if'. It was only a few months ago that it got…. unmanageable, and I ended up meeting Cookie Addict to try and move on." Monica frowned at that, not liking the thought of Chandler 'moving on' with anyone.
"And then when I found out Cookie Addict was you – it well, sucked obviously." He said, obviously trying to sound off-hand. "I was too scared to tell you and ruin our friendship, but the thought of still talking to Cookie Addict and knowing the truth…made me feel sick."
A note of pain entered his voice and Monica wound her arms around his waist, squeezing tight. "I'm sorry," she whispered. A thought occurred to her. "When I came in that day and you'd thrown up, was that…"
"Just after I found out, yeah." Chandler admitted. "It was…not the best day."
Monica held him tighter, her own stomach churning as she remembered him clammy and pale, staring at her with panicked eyes.
"I just – I never thought I had a hope in hell with you." He confessed quietly.
"I wish I'd known," she murmured, "I wish I could have saved you that. And I wish I could have told you how wrong you were."
How close had she come to losing him? Losing the two of them, the warmth and laughter of the man beside her? It had only been a week or so but already, that thought made her feel sick herself.
"I went through my list too you know," she told him. "When I was working out how I felt about you. Obviously, I didn't deliberately write mine about you like you did for me, but it was crazy how much of it matched – you're sensitive and easy-going, and smart, and funny…and I know you're not ready yet, but commitment and family aren't as far away as you think."
"I remember you telling me that," Chandler said. "It was one of the things that gave me hope about telling you the truth."
"And I'm so glad you did," Monica asserted. "The idea of missing out of this…" She swallowed, and Chandler pulled her closer.
"We got here," he whispered to her.
She smiled. "Yeah we did."
They lay together for a while, Monica resting on his chest, lying together, feeling his heart thumping under her, sure and steady. She inhaled, contentment washing over her.
"You know, you were the most beautiful woman in the room tonight," Chandler murmured, face buried in her hair.
"Really?"
"Well yeah," he kissed her head. "But then you're the most beautiful woman in most rooms."
"You're biased."
"Guilty as charged." He admitted. "But…" he grabbed her and rolled them over, making her shriek with laughter. "I'm happy to prove it."
"Well ok!"
As Monica kissed him again, she thanked god for online dating sites – even if all they needed to do was take her right across the hall.

A/N: And it's DONE. It took a ridiculously long-time – albeit mostly because of the two-year gap in the middle and getting distracted with other fandoms – but Mondler have always been my true OTP and I'm stoked to have finished this! Thanks to everyone who stuck with the story for this long!
This was just a short epilogue, but I wanted to give them a chance to talk over everything and their perspectives of their journey (Chandler's crush, Monica realising her feelings for him).
I always intended the story to take us up to the end of s4 in London, just as they got together in the show. That always seemed when they were ready to come together and their natural moment for it to click. You can see their story will play out pretty much the same as it did in the normal timeline (except they admit they're in a relationship sooner). Because if there's one thing we've learned – especially from the show itself – Monica and Chandler are meant to be in every universe
If anyone is also waiting on my other uncompleted fic Escaping The Web unfortunately I don't think I'll finish that – that would just end up being too long and sprawling and I have a lot of other writing I want to get done. But I do have the rough ending and Chandler's secret mapped out in my head so if anyone really wants to know they can private message me.
As always, hope you enjoyed and interested to hear your thoughts!
