Max POV
It took a while to make up for all of the hurt that the flock had inflicted onto me. Longer than I cared to admit and longer than I wish that it had. But it all worked out. I couldn't deny the fact that I loved my flock, my family and they treated me with so much love it nearly hurt. Although we weren't all the way back to what we had been, we were close. Rather than the same intensity that we had sustained before the split, we had built a new love around us.
"Max," a soft voice whispered in my ear, making me twitch awkwardly before diving deeper into sleep once again. A gentle nudge hit me next, followed by a groan from the other side of me. "Max, wake up."
"Shut up, Fang." Iggy moaned from the other side of the bed. I was comfortably set in the middle, happy to nuzzle between the two of them throughout the night. It was reminiscent of when we had first broken away from the School. Nudge, Angel, and Gazzy had slept in their own little pile of baby skin, Angel and Gazzy for the familiarity of siblings and Nudge out of love for the babe Angel. That left Fang, Iggy, and I to huddle together in search of some sort of comfort. Even now, the cuddling was enough to soothe any and all of us.
"Yeah, Fang." I echoed, rolling about so I could bury myself into Iggy's side. I sighed softly as I threw my arm around his chest, happily leeching his heat from him. I could hear Fang whine from the other side of the bed until I felt a heavy weight settling across my back.
"Hi there," he cooed from Iggy's stomach, shifting about until he was draped across my back, fully covering me from head to toe. Ever since our outburst of sadness and tears, Fang seemed to make an effort to be more expressive with his emotions, something that I didn't ever think I'd appreciate until he began to do so. "And hello to you, too, Iggy."
Iggy flashed the other boy a crude gesture before swiping his pillow from behind his head to throw it onto his face. "Why do we even have to get up?"
"Percy and Annabeth challenged us to the rock climbing wall, and I'll be damned before I win." Fang smirked, tickling at my sides as he pulled the pillow away from Iggy's face in order to merely bring it back down violently.
"What about the rest of the flock?" I finally asked, slightly disturbed by the silence flirting with the air of the cabin around us. Usually Gazzy would be making a ruckus by now, flinging himself into our bed to happily mold into our cuddle pile, whether that be next to me, Iggy, or Fang.
"Out for breakfast with Leo," Fang answered once again, taking both of us into his arms and lifting us into an awkward sitting position, leaning more onto the dark haired boy than supporting ourselves.
"Oh gosh," I hummed with a simple smile on my face, "I love you guys."
I did it. I finally wrote this, and better-ish. Thank you for reading! I plan to rewrite my other stories soon as well.
