"Caroline!" Kol yelled out happily. He threw his arms around her and hugged her tightly. He thought it was weird how she didn't hug him back. He pulled back and stared at her. Her eyes were wide and he thought he could see fear flicker in her eyes.

"Who are you?" She asked in a small whisper. Kol faltered with those words. This had to be a joke.

"Caroline that isn't funny." He tightened his grip on her. She flinched away from him.

"Kol! You're scaring the poor girl." Rebekah yelled at him as she pushed him away from Caroline. She sat on the bed and calmed Caroline.

"What's the last thing you remember?" Elijah asked her.

"Um, I was-" Caroline began. Her brow creased. She didn't remember. More like, she couldn't.

"Nothing. I can't remember anything." Caroline said.

"Do you know your name?" Klaus asked finally joining in. Caroline jumped at the sound of his voice. She hadn't even noticed that he was in the room. She stared at him. He seemed really familiar to her but she couldn't place it. Caroline though he was extremely good looking.

"Caroline." She said not even realizing he had spoke. She was too busy staring at him.

"Do you know what you are?" He asked as he took a step towards her.

"Vampire." She asked and Klaus nodded.

"Stop compelling her!" Rebekah yelled.

"I'm not." Klaus defended. Caroline looked around the room at the other three vampires

"Whats going on?" Caroline asked.

"There was an accident and you forgot all your memories." Rebekah smiled through her lie. It was better to keep her unaware of what happened.

"Are you my family?" Caroline asked the blonde. Rebekah laughed. She glanced at Klaus.

"Maybe. In the future." Rebekah snickered. This only confused Caroline even more.

"Can you help me?" Caroline asked in a small voice.

"Of course sweetie." Rebekah gave Caroline a genuine smile. Kol stalked out of the room to go and sulk somewhere. Elijah and Klaus left the two blondes alone.

*Few Hours Later*

Klaus was standing in his art room staring at his recent painting. It was a painting of Paris. He stared at the painting, scrutinizing every detail of the painting. He searched for any mistakes. He was deep in thought had had barely registered Caroline's entrance into the room.

"What are you doing?" Caroline asked in a small voice as she looked around the room.

"Nothing." Klaus answered as he wiped his hands on a paint covered towel. He tossed it back onto a table that was covered with tubes of paint, brushes, and sketches. Caroline nodded silently as she looked over the room.

"Have you remembered anything?" Klaus asked. Caroline shook her head no. Klaus acknowledged her answer. He glanced at her and her attention was on a particular painting. He didn't really care for the painting but had kept it anyway. It had been tucked behind others and she seemed to have pulled it out. It was a small painting. He could understand why she was so fascinated by the painting. It was a simple depiction of an angel. The angel had their back turned on the viewer and their white wings spread wide. A golden halo floating atop their head. Their head was turned to the side and tilted. All you could see was a head of blond hair. A white flowing dress cascading down the body. The scene was that of Eden. A beautiful flower garden and a tree growing next to the angel and providing shade for the heavenly being.

"You know that's not what an Angel looks like." Caroline mumbled. She continued to stare at the painting. She ran her fingers across the painting.

"How do they look?" Klaus coaxed her. She seemed to be subconsciously remembering.

"For one they don't have halos. They don't show their wings either. The only time you see physically wings is when an angel has died." Caroline continued to run her fingers over the painting.

"They don't wear dresses either." Caroline finished as her finger rested on the wings of the angel. She gasped and dropped the painting. Her eyes scrunched closed in pain and she gripped her head. She grunted in pain. Klaus walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. A few moments had passed and she seemed to be recovering.

"Are you alright?" Klaus asked. Caroline was silent for a few moments before she nodded slowly. Her eyes trained on the picture.

"Remember anything?" Klaus asked. Caroline glanced over at him. Her mouth parted to answer but she closed it and shook her head no. Caroline stared at Klaus. What see saw was not normal. She saw black eyes with golden pupils. She saw dark veins under his eyes. She saw a set of fangs peeking out of his mouth. She shook her head and looked back at him. The appearance had shifted back to normal.

"You gonna be alright?" Klaus asked as he helped her stand. She nodded her head. Not trusting her own words. She had seen glimpses of another world. She saw a heavenly field. She saw a man. She saw wings. Caroline didn't understand what this meant but thought it better to keep it a secret.
