AN/: I wanted to get this updated, even if it was a really short, meaningless chapter. So, here you go! It's more entertaining than purposeful in the story, to be honest, but at least I'm updating! I don't have Microsoft Word on my notebook, so that's annoying. Sorry it there are any spelling mistakes I missed as well as grammar mistakes. Enjoy! I'll hopefully be updating my other stories soon.

The day would consist of training. All kinds of training. Simply a buttload of training. First on the agenda was running laps around the courtyard. This trained her to build up her endurance, forcing her to take on the day after exhausting most of her energy. Then, she would use even more energy in her scheduled combat training. Combat training didn't even involve using her magic. In fact, it had been made quite clear that she wasn't allowed to use magic throughout the duration of her combat training. After duking it out with Erza in combat, she'd then move on to magic training where she would use whatever energy she had left to learn new spells, practice the ones she'd recently been taught, and master and perfect the older ones.

That would be it for physical training. Next would come the brain training. Lucy didn't mind that so much. I mean, come on, she got to read books and learn all about who she was, the nature of her magic, the geography of the land, and the history of her kingdom. She loved reading the many books stacked on the shelves, which crawled up nearly every inch of the walls and all the way to the ceiling, that Lucy was convinced, and disappointed, that she'd never be able to read them all. Reading the books in the palace library would be her favorite part of the day, you know, if she could keep her eyes open!

She was so tired! Her brain literally felt like mush! Or, was that from Erza knocking her head around too much? It didn't matter, she didn't care. Her head slipped from her hand once again and fell onto the pages of the open book in front of her, wrinkling the parchment with her cheeks. Her eyelids had fallen shut long ago, though she couldn't quite tell how long ago. The book she'd been reading, she didn't remember what it was called, was about... Actually, she couldn't remember that, either. She was sure she'd started reading the book! She'd gotten about five pages in! Okay, this was ridiculous. She just needed to rest. A quick nap- ten minutes was all she needed.

"Lucy, aren't you done reading that book yet?" Erza's voice yelled as she entered the spacious library. A shiver of fear should have rushed up Lucy's back with a tingling feeling of doom crawling up her spine, but, that never came. "Lucy, I asked you a question!" The blonde could only manage a grunt. Erza heaved a sigh and walked over to the table where Lucy was currently, "vegetating," as Erza had decided to call her, "laziness." Apparently, Lucy's current state had become quite habitual, as of late. The scarlet-haired woman picked up a nearby book and slammed it onto the table next to Lucy's head expecting her to jump up in a frantic tizzy.

"Whadya want," Lucy grunted. Erza was baffled by the blonde's response.

"What do you think you're doing?" she asked blinking confused at the girl.

"Sleepin."

"Uh, why?"

"Brain no function no more," Lucy whined. Gosh, she would've killed herself if she'd actually registered that she'd used such horrible grammar.

"Alright, you never act this stupid," Erza mused while grabbing at the back collar of Lucy's shirt to lift her face from the table. She couldn't believe that Lucy had not only blown off one of her threats, but also that she'd used such horrific grammar. To her horror, as she lifted Lucy's head from the table the page beneath her had stuck to her cheek and it ripped right from the book. Erza looked around frantically, making sure that they were indeed the only two in the library. Still stiff with slight fear she quickly whipped the paper off her cheek and flung it off into some other area of the library. "You can finish that book later," Erza said dismissing it with her hand.

Lucy woke up and stretched her stiff body. The moment her consciousness started coming back she regretted waking up. Nope, she laughed in her mind, no we're going back to sleep, she thought. Being awake is for people hate sleep and don't need functioning brains, she rationalized. She didn't want to go through all that training again. She hadn't said anything, but she seriously couldn't take it anymore. She wanted to be able to keep up with all the constant training, and she usually could, but they had her going all the time, constantly, nonstop! She couldn't get an adequate break for her body to refresh itself.

She allowed herself to lay in bed relaxed and loose. Man, she needed a break. Her limbs still felt like wobbly jelly. She internally giggled. Heh, noodle arms. Damn Luka for her crazy ideas! Oh, let's have you train every single day starting from the point you wake up and lasting until you feel like your arms are gonna fall off! Only you won't really be able to tell when that is because you'll already be pretty much numb. Your arms could've already fallen off, for all you know. Stupid dragon.

"I heard that!"

'You were meant to!'

"Lucy-san, if you needed a break you should've just said so," a little blue-haired girl said. Lucy cracked open an eye to see the girl sitting next to the bed... in her room? Suddenly, things didn't quite make sense. She didn't remember much. Wendy was sitting with her hands folded in her lap tightly as if she were trying to keep herself from using them for something. She nervously swung her legs back and forth. The chair she was sitting in was a bit tall for her and her feet didn't quite touch the ground.

"Hey, Wendy. What's up?" Lucy asked ignoring what the girl had said. She was worried about the young girl, even though she knew that she was capable of taking care of herself. She seemed nervous.

"Erza said that you were acting a bit... off," she said scrunching her face in thought. "She dragged you out of the library by the back of your shirt and you looked kind of..." she trailed off and tilted her head to the side as she pondered what word to use next, "floppy," she finished. Lucy giggled at the small girl and pat her head.

"Did she drag me back here?" Lucy asked with a smile on her face. Wendy nodded and smiled, a bit relieved that Lucy seemed okay. Lucy knew exactly what was going through the little Sky Dragon Slayer's head, and it warmed her heart that she cared so much. Lucy would have to have a talk with Luka about her training schedule.
