"Put me down!" Jinx exclaimed as she kept trying to escape him.
"Ooof Hey wait now! Agh okay okay!" they stopped atop of a cliff, the sun was setting. "Jinx really think of all the wonderful moments we've spent together! Haven't you had fun with me? Hasn't it all been great?"
Jinx looked at him and was unsure what to answer. She couldn't help the jealousy in her heart. "Yes it has but you've heard them all! Good just doesn't mix with bad! Wasn't that Artemis girl of yours a "good" person?"
Kid flash took ahold of both of her hands and looked her in the eyes with a serious expression. "This isn't about Artemis, this is about me and you. I love you. I love you no matter if youre good or bad. I love you just the way you are, bad luck or no bad luck. It doesn't matter to me what anyone else has to say about it. My mind is made up. We belong together."
She looked on at him, feeling surprised.
Just what is he? She wondered.
"Besides," he continued "I'm such a great guy and person that I totally balance it all in you-"
Jinx through a pink wave of misfortune at him which he quickly dodged. Her hand was clenched into a fist
"Don't get too ahead of yourself." She said feeling like he was way too confident about himself.
He turned and got down on one knee and offered her a red rose. His eyes focused on her as he held the rose out to her and had the other hand over his heart "Jinxie, trust me."
Jinxs face flushed as she saw his eyes. Her heart thumped happily and her hand hesitantly was reaching for the rose.
"D…do you promise? Promise to never betray me and always stay by me? No matter what?"
"I promise." He said as he took her hand, stood up and kissed her.
"No matter if you're good or bad, there is no side. There is only together, our side."
She nodded and repeated "together."
"Now we gotta go help the other superheroes escape the villains!" exclaimed kid flash as he held her hand tightly and hurriedly headed to help the titans.
"What?! Wait!" Jinx protested "I'm still on the bad side! I'm still bad!"
Kid Flash merely grinned and kept running with her. "You're not bad. You're with me and together we'll get Madame Rouge"
"Madame Rouge?! You found her?"
They arrived at the brotherhoods secret base.
"Of course I did! They're in here and so your team." They heard sounds of fighting.
"Now c'mon this is a battle for both of us to join. Will you do the honors?" he gestured toward the wall.
She smiled. There's just no keeping up with him huh? Ah well its fun this way.
She aimed a pink wave at the wall and caused it to explode open, creating a huge hole in the wall that allowed them to enter. She stepped inside, proudly holding Kid Flashs hand.
Everyone turned to look at the pair. Her team spotted her.
"Jinx whatya think youre doing?" cried Gizmo.
"Kid Flash?" called Robin, looking as he needed help, about to be cornered.
Jinx let go of Kid Flashs hand and he went to help Robin.
"Dunno" she muttered as both of her hands glowed with pink spheres
"Guess I just had a change of heart." She said.
And so she helped defeat evil.
