Okay, guys... this is officially the END of this story. I've got a message for you at the end of this epilog in the Author's Note.

I'm sorry for making you wait a little more, but I was doing GISHWHES and it ate all my time!

For this epilog, I was listening to these two songs and if you're interested in listening to it while reading as well, here they are:

(1) RHYE - Open

(2) JOSE GONZALEZ - Stay Alive

Hope you'll enjoy it!

DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything about The Vampire Diaries.

"Kol, stop it!" Elena screamed as she laughed carelessly.

"Stop what? This?" Kol chuckled as he placed small kisses on Elena's stomach, teasing her and ignoring her complaints.

Elena was laying on her back in their bed, her hair messed up and flying everywhere on the pillow. Even if she complained about Kol waking her up so suddenly like this, she loved it more than anything. She tried to push his shoulders away from her playfully but he was stronger than her. As a response, Kol pinned her wrists down on both sides of her body, before licking slowly up her stomach challengingly. He knew he got her this way when he heard her soft half moan/half laugh escape her lips.

When he emerged from the covers and placed himself between Elena's parted legs, Kol towered over her, his elbow digging into the mattress on each side of her head. Elena sighed in pleasure as she tried to ignore Kol's already hardened member brushing against her sensitive spot.

He always knew how to drive her mad.

"What's wrong, Darling?" He chuckled slightly, faking that he didn't understand why she was complaining.

"You know I don't like tickles." Elena pouted childishly before circling her man's head with her arms, locking her fingers together at the nape of his neck.

"Is there some way I can redeem myself?"

"Hm... Maybe..." She teased.

Before she even knew it, Kol thrust into her, suddenly making her mouth pop into an 'o' shape. When Kol saw the effect he had on her, he chuckled against Elena's lips softly, starting to move a little bit faster.

"Stop mocking..." Elena breathed between two rough kisses, her eyes closed.

"I'm not..." Kol replied almost in a whisper, before roaming his hands over Elena's beautiful thighs and squeezing them slightly, allowing himself to move faster, encouraged by Elena's moans.

He loved her body. When they first started dating, when she was a simple human and himself a vampire and she was so slim that sometimes, he was even afraid to break her while making love... But time passed and brought many new things to the couple: for Kol, it was mortality and asthma, along with the laughter of his relatives because they always knew Kol sucked at running... And for Elena, a beautiful set of electric blue eyes with some added pounds here and there. She hated weighing a little bit more but Kol absolutely loved touching her whole body, feeling her goddess-like curves under his hands...

"Faster..." Elena moaned into his ear, her hands roaming on her man's body as well.

Elena's hands were all over Kol's toned body, palming his chest and shoulders here and there. Overwhelmed by pleasure, she dug her fingernails into his torso but suddenly stopped, remembering that he couldn't heal instantly anymore. It was weird for her to see Kol as a human being, even after 5 years of common life with him. She met him as a vampire and his whole family were vampires, so it often slipped out of her mind, but she finally started accommodating to that, slowly.

Kol's sudden and harsh thrust made her mind snap out of her thoughts and come back to the moment they were sharing. As Elena wrapped her legs around his waist to pull him closer, she tugged on his neck to kiss him roughly, even biting his lip because she knew that it drove him crazy.

"I'm close..." Kol mumbled into her mouth, asking for permission. Being human required more... Precaution.

"Do it..." She replied sloppily, meeting her hips with his as she loved the feel of him inside of her. She was so close as well that she couldn't care less.

After a few more passionate thrusts coming from the both of them, tangled with moans and words that didn't even mean anything, Elena felt herself climaxing and was soon joined by her lover, both crying each other's names. When Kol pulled out and rolled off of her, he heard her laugh and, turning to her, wrapped an arm around her waist.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing, just..." She paused, searching for her words. "I just love you so much it hurts."

"I love you too..." He paused to catch up on his breath. "...My love." Then, he smiled.

Kol's smile grew wider on his face and, and as he kissed her he felt Elena's hand on his cheek, soft and warm. He was so happy with her that sometimes he felt like he didn't deserve her.

"You should shave," Elena smiled as she ran her fingers along his unshaven jaw.

"Why? It makes me look more manly." He looked smug, crossing his fingers with hers tenderly, playing with her beautiful wedding ring absent-mindedly, the diamond glistening in the small sun rays that went through the curtains.

Three years of marriage with her and Kol felt like it's been only three weeks. Elena had the power to make his life fuller and with her, there was no time anymore, no problems to come and block their way to happiness, and no more evil coming to screw up their lives and threatening that love that was so fragile years ago. Peace felt so good, and with her by his side, he knew that it would last a lifetime.

"It shows off your grayish hairs." Elena laughed before shielding herself with her forearms, knowing that Kol would be mad at her for bringing that up.

"You're just so mean, wife." Kol sat up and pushed her down on the bed, blocking her body completely as he played with her hair, tugging it slightly. "FYI, it's not because you've cut your hair shoulder length that it will keep you from having gray hair, you know? Besides... Did you see that small wrinkle at the corner of your mouth?"

"Where? Where is it?" Elena suddenly freaked out, touching her mouth as she tried to feel it under her fingertips. "Where is it?" She repeated.

"Hey, I'm joking Honey..." He laughed at her behavior and earning a small tap on his shoulder for that. "Who's the most afraid of turning old, hm?

Then, Elena's expression changed from mad and upset to oddly calm... And in a split second, her eyes turned blue and the room was shaken with energy, frames shaking slightly on the walls and the lights flickering. As Kol sat up to watch his wife while she was trying to impress him, he was suddenly hit in the head by a flying pillow, making him fall backward on the bed.

"What was that for, my Angel?" Kol sat up again, looking into Elena's electric blue eyes.

God, he was so proud of his ass-kicker wife, his Angel. They didn't know why but, when she came back to life she had never lost her Angelic gene, as everyone thought she would. At first, it was tough because she was just a huge ball of energy, but she slowly learned how to control herself. One day after another, she kept having more and more power, some more useful than others. She also sometimes discovered herself bad powers and it happened once or twice, but she had more and more control over the things she did and how intense she wanted them to be, always afraid to hurt someone. With the help of Bonnie and Megan, who became almost indivisible now, they even found a way for her to temporarily hide her electric blue eyes so that she could lead a normal life without being questioned by strangers.

"Mocking me," Elena replied, making Kol snap out of his thoughts.

But it wasn't over: It was payback time for Kol. As he put his hands flat on the mattress on both sides of his legs, the bed started shaking and then, it was smoothly and effortlessly lifted off the floor by an invisible stream of energy. Kol watched Elena as she widened her eyes and held the bedhead tightly, seeming anxious. Kol decided to go even higher and, thank God, the ceiling was very high and they eventually reached it.

"Kol..." Elena gulped, not daring to look down.

Suddenly, the bed dropped from the ceiling and was free falling... until Kol took control again and stopped it a few centimeters from the floor, and then finally letting it drop completely.

"Gosh, you know that I hate heights!" Elena shouted, throwing her pillow at Kol's face.

"How inconvenient for an Angel," He laughed carelessly now, catching the pillow easily.

"What the Hell was that for?"

"Hitting me," Kol replied with a shrug, a wide grin spreading on his face, showing that he won the fight... For now.

"Gosh, I always forgot that you're a warlock now."

Indeed, it was one of the craziest things that ever happened to them. But Kol had an explanation: when he was human, Esther was a witch, so her descendants earned the witch gene as well. But the genes were muted because of the vampire curse and when Kol came back to life as a human, they turned back on.

"I must admit that sometimes, I don't believe it myself." He sighed and looked at his beautiful wife. "What I'll never forget is that I love you." Kol leaned to her and kissed her lips shortly but sweetly, before pulling back after a moment.

The room fell silent for a moment as the two were contemplating each other, both wondering how they could be that happy after everything they've been through. No one could ever stop them from being together, now that they were settled down in Atlanta, in Kol's big old Mansion, away from Mystic Falls who couldn't be her home anymore since everyone in town went to her funeral and saw her being buried in a tightly closed coffin. They also avoided New Orleans and its surroundings, because that was where Klaus established his fief. In Atlanta, life was slow and tasted great. They met new and normal people, went to dinners and cocktails, living a respectable life. Elena was now a journalist and worked for the Atlanta newspaper AJC while Kol started managing a nightclub that quickly went from a small bar to the best nightclub in town. He was really great at managing this, but Elena secretly knew that Kol kind of regretted his former nightlife.

"I need to go shower and then prepare lunch," Elena broke the silence, grabbing her underwear from the floor and putting it on while Kol did the same with his. "You remember that today, Caroline, Matt, Bonnie, Jer, Ric, Elijah and Bekah are coming for lunch, right?"

Standing up from the bed, Elena shyly wrapped an arm around her own waist, covering her bare scarred stomach. Even though she loved Kol so deeply and that he'd seen her naked before, she still felt self-conscious about that thin white line going from right to left across her stomach...

"Mhm... It can wait." Kol wrapped his fingers around Elena's wrist, before doing the same with her other hand to uncover her abdomen. "Don't think about it. I love it." He whispered, leaning softly to kiss Elena's stomach, feeling upset about Elena's unease. "What's the matter?"

"I hate those stretch marks and that pooch, and that freaking scar... I don't feel pretty anymore!" She said as she put her hands back on her belly again. "I know it's for the good cause but..."

"But nothing." Kol cut her off, standing up so that he could look at her straight into her eyes. "You've given life. This good cause you're talking about is sleeping in her crib across the corridor, and I'm sure that when you'll lay your eyes on her again when she wakes up, you will forget about that C-section scar and all those stretch marks. If you want, we'll even buy that cream you saw at the drugstore a week ago, and in a few months, this will be only a memory. Okay?" Kol smiled and cupped her face with his hands, kissing her forehead softly.

"Okay." Elena nodded faintly, a single tear rolling down her cheek, which Kol wiped instantly. "Just a memory."

When Elena felt Kol pull her into his warm arms, she smiled as she heard his slow heartbeat. She loved hearing it. The Angel felt as if it was an evidence of their life: what they had lost and what they had found, what they did and what they couldn't undo. His heartbeat was a proof that Kol would do anything for her, even deny the most important part of his identity. Sure, he could still be turned into a vampire again but he wouldn't be as powerful as he was when he was an Original.

"I don't know what I'd do without you."She smiled, before kissing his lips softly, this time not caring about his facial hair. She secretly loved it.

When she felt Kol turn her around, she knew that he was up to no good... And before she could complain, she fell back on the mattress with her husband straddling her, efficiently blocking her on the bed.

"Kol..." She sighed, even though she loved his playful attitude. "I must go. Lunch won't prepare itself." She laughed at the thought.

"Maybe we can try."

"Well, I would be aware if our magic could do this." She chuckled. "No, really. It won't be ready in time!"

Kol laughed and leaned down towards his beautiful wife, placing small yet intense kisses down her neck, just she was she loved them. "We can order KFC. You know Bekah loves KFC."

"Stop..." Elena laughed again but returning the same kisses anyway.

She was about to give in once again, but suddenly, the sound of cries reached their ears and Elena sighed, pulling away from the warmth Kol provided her while giggling. "Just in time!"

When Elena watched Kol's face, she laughed even harder. It was an odd mix between sexual frustration, sadness and anger and... It was just hilarious.

"No, please 'Lena..." He pleaded, but Elena easily pushed him off this time.

"Oh, my poor little husband..." She faked her most beautiful sweet voice. "Miranda must be hungry. I'll feed her and maybe..."

"Maybe, what?"

"Maybe I'll have a little more time for you afterward..." Elena smirked seductively as she stood up and wrapped her peignoir around her shoulders before leaving the room, her hips swaying slightly.

"Damn you, Elena Mikaelson!" Kol shouted, rolling on the bed before hiding his head into his pillow. "Damn you."

AUTHOR'S NOTE.

So this is where it all ends...

I really hope you enjoyed this little insight into Kol and Elena's almost normal life. Personally, I prefer this ending and I realized that this story didn't need a twisted and complicated sequel like I planned in the first version.
I just wanted you to know that those three years with you as reviewers were just perfect. As I said before, this story was my first shot at writing fanfics and I've never expected it to have so much success. I gave up on so much to create and write this story, and I don't even regret it because I always knew that I had amazing people who followed my work and liked what I wrote (yes, you!).

So I want to thank you again, for reviewing, following, and favoriting my story, because I know that without you I wouldn't have found the strength to keep writing! Writing really became a passion and I hope that one day I'll have enough guts to create my own story from the very beginning.

And who knows, maybe I'll add some OS's to this fanfic? Would you like to know what happens in their life as they get older?

Please, REVIEW one more time and tell me what you think about this ending and the OS's project! I love to hear your opinion!

And never forget that I LOVE YOU! THANK YOU AGAIN!
