So, this is a spur of a moment fic. Somehow, against my better judgement, I ended up going through some Glee's episodes that have Samcedes scenes in it and rewatching all the moments put a dopey smile on my face and got me all up in feels. I do hope you guys enjoy this little fic!

Sam looked at all the boxes scattered around in his apartment in Lima, Ohio. He had packed everything except for some small things that were scattered on his bed. He sealed the box that contained all of his comics and books before settling himself on the bed, going through the remaining thing that needed to be put in the last box. His eyes fell onto a picture album. He reached for it and a wide smile appeared on his face as his eyes landed on a picture of him and Mercedes at the senior prom. That year was a roller coaster for him - moving to Kentucky, getting used to a new town, his brief stint of White Chocolate, knowing that Mercedes was dating Shane and got his heart broken, not to mention his impulsive return to Lima because of her and everything that he had done to get her back. Although, they did sang awesome duets and he was over the moon when they were finally together before prom, which allowed them to go to it as a couple. His long fingers traced the picture as he remembered how happy she was when he, together with Artie, Mike, Rory and Joe performed What Makes you Beautiful on the stage - how gorgeous she looked, dancing around with Kurt. Sam went through the album as it brought him back through all the moments that he had spent with Mercedes. They bittersweet at times, but he treasured every single moments in his heart. Out of all relationships that he had, he treasured theirs the most. He had his fair shared of relationships and girlfriends, but none of them compared to theirs and Mercedes. He believed that his and Mercedes' bond is special and that they were meant to be. Mercedes Jones is special. Ever since she came into his life and resided in his heart, she never leave. He was sure that every time they said goodbye, apart of his heart leaves with her. He smiled bitterly as he closed the album and put it into the last box. Once finished putting everything away, he arranged the boxes properly so that it'll be easier for the movers to come and took it.

Sam knew that he had made another impulsive decision, but he had enough of it. Being the Glee coach at McKinley was temporary. It was never his long term plan. The only reason he decided to went back to Lima was Mercedes. He had his dream of being on a bus fulfilled and he decided that he had enough of the modeling life. It was overwhelming him. Besides, with Mercedes going on a tour, he would be left alone in New York. After he and Mercedes decided to put a stop in their relationship for the third time (a stupid decision, Sam begrudgingly admitted after awhile), Sam felt that New York is not for him. He didn't want to be all alone in their house. So, he planned his life. When Mr. Shuester offered him the position, he decided to accept it while enrolling as a part time student in Ohio State University. After years of dedication and hard work, he had finally graduated and it was time to make another dream comes true. He resigned from his position and packed his things - ready to take the next step in his plan. He said goodbye to Burt, Carole, and everyone that he knew.

He still be in contact with Mercedes. They occasionally skype each other or face timing each other when they had the time. Throughout the year, both of them had gone through several relationship, but both still end up alone. Sam had given up on any relationship when his life was getting hectic with working and studying, while Mercedes was too focus in her career to think about it. Sam wouldn't deny that he was excited when Brittany blurted out that Mercedes had broken up with Tank after a heated argument. Sam knew that he needed to have Mercedes in his life and vowed to not let her slipped away anymore. He had done being stupid and let other people's opinion to dictate his life.

After joining Beyonce in her concert, Mercedes's career had a breakthrough and her popularity increased. She had put out several hit records and has become one of the most sought-after female singers. She decided to make LA her house and bought a house there. She was relaxing in her living room when she heard the doorbell, the same time her phone chimed. Mercedes looked at the new text.

OPEN YOUR DOOR!

She frowned as she went to the door. She opened it and was surprised to see Sam standing at her door.

"Hey, beautiful!" he said, smirking at her. She pulled him into a hug and pulled him into the house afterwards. She closed the door and brought him to the living room.

"What are you doing here?" Mercedes excitedly asked. They occasionally met throughout the years when Sam went to her concert or whenever she visited Lima, but he never fail to take her breath away every time she laid her eyes on him. Sam Evans is like a fine wine - kept on getting better and more handsome as the time goes.

"I just move here" Sam answered. Mercedes's eyes went wide.

"Really?"

Sam nodded. "I got an offer to be one of Disney's animators and I decided to accept it. Being a Glee coach is not my long term plan. I just do it while I finished my study"

"That's great! Congratulations!" Mercedes as she hugged him again.

"Thank you" Sam said, smiling.

It has been four months since Sam moved in to LA and started his new work. Somehow, both he and Mercedes were glued to each other. They always spent time together that it was not an odd sight for Sam to accompany Mercedes at her studio session and Mercedes was a fixture in Sam's apartment if she was not on tour.

"So, what's going on with you and Trouty Mouth?" Santana asked when they were on a three-way skype calls with Tina.

"Nothing. We're just friends!" Mercedes said, earning eyes-rollings from Tina and Santana.

"Mercedes, you guys spend a lot of time together. It doesn't scream nothing to me!" Tina said.

"Besides, I know that he wants you" Santana added. Mercedes shook her head at them, chuckling.

"And all of us know that you want him too" Tina added nonchalantly, making Mercedes dumbfounded while Santana laughed. "I honestly think that you guys belong together, you know. You and Sam are perfect to each other and I know that you still love him"

"Do you really think so?" Mercedes asked. To her surprised, Santana also nodded, agreeing with Tina.

Mercedes was surprised when Sam appeared at her door - holding a bouquet of lilies in his hand. He gave the flowers to her and walked into the house, following her to kitchen.

"Are you okay, Sam?" Mercedes asked when she noticed how fidgety Sam was.

"Yeah - I - urm - have something to ask you" Sam said. Mercedes stared at him as she waited for him to calm down.

"Mercedes, I - urm - I love you. You know, I am happy that we are friend and I admit that you are my best friend, but I can't help it. I want more with you. These four months are great for me because you are here with me. It reminds me of all those wonderful times that we have together in New York" Sam looked at her. His eyes were shining brilliantly. "Be my girlfriend? I know that we didn't really have a good track in relationship, but I seriously think that we can make it work this time. We are living in the same city and I can promise you that I will never leave again and you know, I got the offer of being one of the voices in the new animated movie and I seriously think that -"

Sam stopped talking when Mercedes crushed her lips onto his. Once he was out of his shock, he brought his arms around her waist and pulled her closer, deepening their kiss.

"I guess the answer is yes?" Sam asked, lips swollen, cheeks red and he has the adorable dopey smile on his face.

"Yes, Sam Evans. I'll be your girlfriend if you be my boyfriend"

"In a heartbeat, darlin'" Sam said as he pulled her to him and kissed her again.

Sam had become a fixture in all of Mercedes' red carpet events. The news of their relationship spread like wild fire. They never hide their relationship and when asked, they gave the same answer; 'We had enough of secret relationship'. The night Mercedes received her first Grammy, Sam was next to her, holding her hands and kissed her before she went to accept her award. They spent the whole night celebrating the win. The next morning, Sam surprised Mercedes with a trip to Anguilla for a quick retreat. He had prepared everything. Sam sent Mercedes for a pampered day while he worked on his ultimate surprise. Mercedes spent the whole day being pampered at the spa. Once she finished, she was given a bag and was asked to change into it. Once finished, she was fetch by a driver and she was brought to the beach. The sky was getting darker and there were candles - arranged on the sand, their lights illuminating the dusk light. The driver gave Mercedes a small note.

Follow the candles and you'll see me, love.

Mercedes did as the note said. She followed the candles and by the end of it, she was greeted by Sam - kneeling on the sand, hand holding a ring.

"Mercedes Jones. You are the only one for me. You are my soulmate, my everything. Remember that guy who really good at impressions? Well, he still is totally into you and in his steel trap mind, he remembers that you're going to get married after you win your first Grammy. So, what do you say? Will you accept him and all his best traits, as well as his flaws?"

"Yes! Yes! I would like to be with that guy!" Mercedes said, tears rolled down her face as Sam put the ring on her finger.
