Santana's POV

You wake up, roll over and find the bed empty. After sitting up and looking around you see that Brittany's bag is still in the room and so are her clothes. After getting out of the bed and walking out of the room you smell food and hear rapping? Quietly you round the corner and there she is. Cooking pancakes on the stove and every once in a while rapping along to a song waving the spatula in the air. You lean against the wall and watch her being silly for a little while before making your way towards the blonde and wrapping your arms around her waist.

"HOLY SHIT!" she yells and jumps a little tearing her ear buds out.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you."

"I wasn't scared.." She tries but you just raise an eyebrow at her. "Fine, you did scare me a little bit. How long have you been here?"

"Not long, just came in, why?" You ask smiling at her, she's probably hoping you didn't hear her rapping.

"Erm, no reason.." She says turning back around in your arms to flip a pancake.

"So is your rapper name Lil' BritBrit or something like that?" You say trying not to laugh.

"Saan.." She whines turning to face you again with a hint of pink in her cheeks.

"Nice spatula moves, babe." You smirk at her and kiss her lips. "Mm, you taste like pancakes."

"I was too hungry and couldn't wait for you to wake up, so I ate one already." She tells you and kisses you too. "And you ruined my surprise, I was gonna bring you breakfast in bed."

"This is just as great, Britt. I rarely have proper breakfast with all the early mornings in the hospital."

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you should know that, Doctor Santana Lopez." She tells you with a smirk turning around to continue cooking.

"If I have to choose between sleep and food, sleep always wins." You say as you make your way to a cupboard and take out plates. "What are you drinking? I have coffee, tea.." You tell her opening the fridge "Orange juice and water."

"Orange juice, please."

You pour a glass of juice for her and turn on your coffee machine.

"Hey, San, who's the guy you were with yesterday?"

"Oh, right. That's Puck, he's like my best friend I guess. We've been friends since freshman year."

"That's cool, I haven't really met any of your friends."

"Yeah, I know... I just.. I'm not out yet. Well, Puck knows I'm gay, but that's it, I haven't really told anyone else in the hospital. I guess I never really had a reason." You say kind of awkwardly.

"I kind of picked up on that. Don't feel pressured or anything though."

"No, it's not that. I'm kind of sure that my friends wouldn't have any problem with it. It's my parents that I'm scared of. They like things perfect. And I don't know if a gay daughter would be considered perfect in their eyes." You admit.

"Well, if you want, we can go out sometime with my friends. They all are really chill and don't care about that and you can see that it's not that bad. But of course only if you want to." She tells you turning off the stove and putting a plate with pancakes on the table in front of you.

"Yeah, I think that would be okay. And I haven't really met any of your friends too, is that weird?"

"Haha, I don't know, maybe?" She says with a laugh and reaches for the coffee pot to pour you a cup. "How do you like your coffee?"

"Black is fine, thanks, Britt." You give her a smile when she places the cup in front of you. "And actually, if you want, you can meet Puck today, he's coming over later to pick up some journals from me."

"Yeah, I'd like that." She smiles at you.

When you two are done with breakfast, Brittany insists on cleaning up the dishes and jumps around the kitchen tidying up.

"How's your foot? Do you need anything?"

"It's fine, it doesn't hurt if I don't move it and it's not really easy to move it in the cast."

"And your finger?" You ask taking her hand in yours looking at the swollen and slightly blue finger.

"Eh, it's fine, it only hurts when I have to bend it, it's no biggie." She tells you intertwining your fingers and pulling you into her. She leans down and kisses you softly. "Thanks for taking care of me yesterday."

"You're welcome. Thanks for making me breakfast." You say with a smile leaning in for another soft kiss.

"You're welcome." She answers kissing you again. "So what do you want to do today? Did you have any plans?"

"Not really, I need to do some studying though at some point, exam is coming up and I'm going to ace that. We could go out for lunch later?"

"Sure, sounds good. I should probably study too. I've kind of neglected that part with all the practices and stuff, also I don't like to study.. so.."

"You need to study, babe. You know you can't fail a class."

"I know, I know. It's just so boring, I don't think that it's for me.." She told you taking a step back and reaching for her crutches.

"Britt, education is very important, I'm sure you know that." You tell her. Sure it's not always fun and stuff and you just have to push through it sometimes, but you believe that education is one of the most important things.

"I know, I know. But I just don't feel like it's for me, well maybe not my major. I mean, I like taking photos and making videos and stuff, but all the lectures and essays are boring as hell, I only like doing the assignments when we can actually do stuff."

"Well, is there something else you'd like to study?"

"I don't know, whatever I would choose, there's always stuff I wouldn't want to do, that's why I don't like school that much. I wish I could just play basketball and be done with school." She said with a huff and walked over to the couch and slumped down.

"You need to finish school, Britt, you won't play basketball forever, you need something to fall back on." You were raised by two doctors who asked nothing but the best from you in school so you grew up on pretty much straight A's. You knew the importance of a good education and the benefits that came with a well paid job.

"I realize I won't play forever, I'm not stupid." You could tell she was getting annoyed, that definitely wasn't your goal.

"I never said you were." You tell her making your way to her and sit on a coffee table in front of her.

"I just feel forced to do something that doesn't make me happy to be able to do something that makes me happy."

"You're on full athletic scholarship, do you know how many people would kill to be in your place?"

"I know, but it's not like I was just given it for nothing too. I know I'm not amazingly book smart like you, but I worked really hard for this too. I've played for most of my life, and it's not just running around throwing a ball. I've put most of my time in being as good as I am, I've trained so hard and pushed through a lot of pain, I never had free time during high school so it's not like I was just given it for no reason." She told you sharply. You didn't like this at all, fighting with Brittany was terrible. The conversation had gone so far off course and it wasn't supposed to get so angsty.

"I know, I never said any of those things." You tell her moving to sit next to her. "I just think it's important, that's how I was raised. And I think if you've been given the opportunity like this, you should push through and finish your studies even if it sucks sometimes."

"It's not like I have any choice anyways, I need to study to play here, otherwise I would need to go pro now. And I need to be 22 to be drafted in WNBA if I don't finish university." She tells you not looking at you.

"I didn't mean to offend you, you know." You tell her putting your hand on her thigh and squeeze a little to get her to look at you.

"It's fine, I've just had this conversation many times before." She takes your hand in hers, bringing it to her lips and pressing a loft kiss on your knuckles. "Can we not talk about it anymore? I'll study with you if that's gonna make you happy."

"You don't need to do that for me, you need to do that to pass to be able to play."

"Yeah, okay okay.. So are we gonna do that now or after lunch?"

"I guess after, Puck is gonna be coming over sometime soon, so maybe let's change and watch a movie or something?" You ask getting on your feet and helping her up by her hand.

"Sure, oh! Do you watch The Walking Dead?" She asks you excitedly.

"I do not and it sounds like something I would never watch."

"Nooo, it's awesome! We should definitely watch it, it's a show about zombies and it's great, I could start over and warn you before scary parts, so you don't scare so easily." She teases you.

"I don't get scared watching movies, Britt." She just smirks at you. "Fine, we can do that if you really want to."

"Yesss! You'll love it, San." She beamed at you. So freaking cute..

Both of you make your way to you bedroom and you tell her you'll quickly jump in the shower. When you get out she's in her sweatpants and her team's t shirt and looks adorable with her messy bun. You're in your underwear and you try to ignore her stare as you make your way over to your wardrobe with your cheeks burning I don't blush! And put on leggings and a tank top. You turn around towards her and she's still looking at you with her eyes dark. You send her a smirk and a wink, making your way towards her drawing out a smile on her lips only for it to be turned into a frown when you pass her and walk out of the room swaying your hips a bit more than necessary.

You walk into the living room, plop down on the coach and turn on your laptop. You search for The Walking Dead on Netflix and put on the very first episode. Brittany still hasn't come out of your bedroom and you're wondering why. But a second later you hear the crutches against the floor.

"That was mean." She tells you squinting her eyes at you.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Sure, San." She says and sits down next to you on the couch. "Hey, San?"

"Yeah?"

"I know we've been doing this" she motions between you two with her hand "for some time now, and I was just wondering.." You can tell she's nervous. She doesn't get nervous easily.

"What is it, baby?"

"Are you my girlfriend? I know we haven't had the talk, but are you? Cause it feels like you are. And I know I haven't asked you, but I don't wanna date other people and I really, really don't want you to date other people." She's rambling a little bit now. So cute! "And I just wanna be able to call you my girlfriend."

"Take a breath, and yes, I'd love that." You smile at her.

"Really?"

"Of course, come here." You pull her in for a kiss.

"Cool!" She says and fist pumps. She's such a dork. But she's my dork.

She lies back against the arm rest and puts her legs on the couch on both sides of you, motioning for you to lay back against her. You do that putting the laptop on your thighs.

"Okay, let's do this!" You're really not a fan of scary things.

You're almost done with the first episode when your phone rings.

"Yo, Lopez! Are you home?"

"Yeah, I am, you coming over now?"

"Yeah, be there in 10"

"Okay, see ya!"

"So Noah is on his way over." You tell her turning your head to look at her.

"Who's Noah?" She asks with a confused face.

"Oh, right. Noah Puckerman, Puck." You explain.

"Ooh, okay. What do I say, like.. Is he nice? I'm sure he's a good guy if he's your best friend, oh god, he's your best friend, what if he doesn't like me?"

"Britt, don't worry, he'll like you, you're charming and everyone likes you. And he's gonna be a douche, he's gonna say inappropriate things and make it weird, be ready." You warn her with a small laugh.

"What? Why?!"

"Just the way he is, don't take anything personally."

So you just keep watching the tv show and are about to put the next episode on when there's a knock on the door. You jump off the couch on walk over to let him in.

"Hey, Lopez! Looking hot." He tells you with a wink and hugs you.

"Shut up, Noah. There's someone I'd like you to meet." You tell him as you close the door and hear Brittany making her way to you. "This is Brittany, my girlfriend." You tell him nervously but smile as the word girlfriend comes out of your mouth.

"Holy shit, Lopez! You're banging the star athlete, well fucking done!" He pats you on the back.

"No, there's no.. just.. we're not. Fuck! Why do you always have to be like that?!" You're blushing and stuttering and fucking hell!

"Hi! I'm Brittany!" You watch her smiling widely at him and holding her hand out.

"Nice to meet you, Brittany. I'm Noah, but you can call me Puck!" He says and shakes you girlfriend's hand. At least he's being civil now. "I did find it weird that she asked me to go watch basketball with her, I should have known something was up. Santana and sports really don't go together very well."

"Shut up, Noah!"

"Damn, that doesn't look good, how bad is it?" Has asks and points towards Brittany's cast.

"It's just a sprain, but I need to be extra careful cause I need to be back on the court soon." She tells him waving her hand.

"That's good, your team is gonna need you, you're pretty good."

"Thanks!"

"Okay, I'll go get those journals for you, be right back." You tell them and walk to your bedroom. You kind of hear them talking and hope that he's not saying anything embarrassing about you as you grab the journals quickly and hurry back.

"Here you go" you say as you walk back into the room and see the serious looks on their faces. You watch them carefully as you walk closer, wondering what had just happened. But the moment is gone and Brittany is smiling brightly at you and turning back at Puck.

"We were gonna go out for lunch a bit later, do you wanna join us?" She asks him.

"Crap, I do, but I can't. I definitely need to go through these today." He says and waves the journals in the air. "But maybe we can go some other time? I'd like to get to know you better cause I guess I'll be seeing a lot more of you now?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll get Santana schedule something sometime soon."

"Alright, it was nice meeting you, Brittany. I'm gonna head out now. Wait for me to close the door before you pounce on each other." He says with a smirk, leans in to kiss my cheek goodbye, smiles at Brittany and walks out the door.

"Jesus.." you breath out.

"He wasn't that bad, he's quite nice actually."

"Bad enough.." But Brittany is putting her hands on your hips and pulling you closer.

"See, it wasn't that bad, was it?" She says rubbing her thumbs in circles on your hip bones. "Telling about us, that was a good first step."

"Yeah, but he was the only one who knew I'm into ladies."

"That's fine, starting out with the easiest one. There's no rush, honey." She assures and leans in to kiss you. You hum when her lips touch yours and put your hands on her neck to keep her from pulling away. You kiss softly for a bit but her kisses are making your stomach do flips and your brain turn into a mush and you deepen the kiss earning a moan of her and blonde's hands tightening the grip on your hips.

You pull back a little breathless. She opens her eyes and looks at you. She's looking at you so deeply and her eyes sparkle, and she's so beautiful. You guess she's thinking the same thing cause she smiles at you pulling you flush against her and putting her arms around you.

"You're so beautiful." She whispers and you lower your head and blush deeply looking at her shirt.

She puts a hand on your chin making you look at her for a second before leaning in and kissing you softly but firmly.

After eating lunch, you went over to Brittany's dorm room and gathered her books and stuff, she took some clean clothes and went over to your house again. Both of you studied for few hours with few make out breaks in between and moved to the bed to watch a bit more of The Walking Dead until the sleep took over. You were pressing hard against the headboard of your bed as an intense scene was playing and looked at the blonde to find her asleep. Putting the laptop away you just watched the sleeping girl and thought how happy you were in this moment. It wasn't like you weren't happy before Brittany came along. You had a good group of friends and loved working in the hospital and your studies, but you didn't know how much you missed her in your life. You wouldn't say that you were lonely before, but now that you had her, you know it would be terrible if she left.

You woke up to a feeling of a finger drawing shapes on your stomach. It had been one of the best sleeps in a long time. You really needed that after a crazy week in the hospital and studying. You really didn't want to get up yet, so you kept your eyes closed. The finger on your stomach stopped for a second and then started moving again. You felt her shuffle on the bed and then her breath on the side of your face, she was so close and you had trouble keeping your eyes closed and not moving when her lips were so close. Then you felt her lips make contact with your skin as she laid soft kisses from your jaw towards you ear.

"I know you're awake." She whispered in your ear in husky morning voice, and honestly that was the sexiest sound you've ever heard. You smiled and turned your face to the left to look her in the eyes.

"Mornin'" You tell her, her face so close to yours that you could count the freckles on her nose.

"Good morning, beautiful." She said and pecked your lips.

"Don't wanna get up." You mumble as you turn into her body and burry your face in her neck to hide your blushing cheeks.

"We don't have to." She says with a chuckle putting one arm around you and her other hand making its way into your hair. "We can just stay in bed all day and be lazy and watch The Walking Dead or whatever you want and make out, how does that sound?"

"Sounds amazing."

And that's exactly what you do.
