Hello everyone. I hope you all have been well and healthy.
I'm not very sure how I should start this, so please forgive me if this appears to be very sudden. I want to first thank everyone who has read Himitsu up until the latest update. Two years ago, I had intended to take a small hiatus from the story in order to get my illness and everything surrounding it, such as medicine and doctors, under control. I am happy to say that I am doing a lot better than the last time that we've spoken.
I'm very thankful for the kind words of good health that many of you wished upon me. Your encouragement and feedback really motivated to create chapters for this story. There have even been reviews in recent months for Himitsu, a story that has remained stagnant for some time now. So for this, I thank you all so much. I truly am grateful for your support.
I first uploaded Himitsu in July of 2013 and the last update was in September of 2016. In that time my writing has gotten much better and a lot more refined. I've still got a ways to go before I can see myself being content with my writing but I am able to acknowledge my own progress.
After reading through Himitsu as a whole, I can see where my writing began to change and how little planning I did for this story. As readers, you all deserve content that I am proud of and truly believe in. As it stands now, Himitsu feels very cringy to me. There are many plot lines that I started but never truly fleshed out or gave much mention to. As someone who loves fanfiction, I want to give you a story that makes sense, one that you can remember fondly.
I say all of this just to say that I am in the process of rewriting Himitsu. I loved writing this story and I want to do right by it and all of you. In the rewritten version there will be far more character development and detailed subplots. I have also planned to only use characters from the show, so therefore no more Hideki, Kenta and Haruka.
I assured you all that Himitsu would be continued, and I still stand by this, but I do not think I can continue adding chapters to a story that I don't know how to steer. I believe that rewriting will be a lot faster than writing an entirely new chapter, so I only want to upload the rewritten version after I've caught up to the current plot and have paved a roadwork for the story to follow.
I thank you all for your tremendous amount of support over these six years. It is incredibly selfish of me to ask this, as someone who hasn't truly given you any content in recent years, but I ask that you wait just a bit more for the rebirth of Himitsu. If this is the end for you, then I thank you for supporting me until now.
I am grateful to all of you and I hope to see you again when Himitsu returns. Thank you for reading. If you have any questions, please ask away, and I will do my best to answer them.
