Leo's POV

"See you next Monday Mr. Johnson." He looked up from the screen of his computer and looked at the door of his office, where I was standing.

"Oh Leo, sure, enjoy your vacations and greet your father for me, will you? "

"Count on it, see you" I closed the door of his office and went to mine to take my things, I said goodbye to my assistant who promised not to bother me on my vacations and I went down to the parking lot.

My beautiful Festus was waiting there for me; With how well I was going in the company, I had managed to equip it a little more, honestly it was the envy of the office.

I drove through the streets of Boston to the building where our apartment was. I parked my Festus as close to the door as I could, and hurry home; I didn't want to spend another second away from her. I missed her.

"Hello Leo." I rolled my eyes and faked a smile.

"Hi Patty" Our neighbor was washing the car right at the entrance of the building, she didn't care that we were in the middle of winter, she had put on small shorts and a blouse that had been wet "accidentally".

Reyna hated her and, to be honest, I hated her a little too. It bothered me that she was so insistent with me -although she was the same with all the neighbors- but at the same time I liked seeing the jealousy she provoked in Reyna, her nose wrinkled in a precious way every time she saw her.

"I have dinner ready up there, will you join me?" I genuinely laughed. Wasting a night with her when I could be in bed with Reyna? Yeah right…

"I'm sorry, Patty, my wife is waiting for me at home." I winked an eye to her and entered the building without waiting for an answer.

The elevator doors opened on the 5th floor, I walked to our door and it felt like it took me forever before I could open the door.

There she was.

Black yoga pants and an old shirt of mine that was two sizes larger for her; She had folded her sleeves, her arms were completely uncovered, her black hair was bunched over her head and she was so focused on the soup that she didn't heard me.

I stood there for a moment, in silence, watching everything around me.

Reyna had decorated the main wall with lots of photos;The biggest one was my favorite. That photo that Rachel had taken in the Stoll house, where Reyna was smiling and I saw her totally in love.

There were more photos, some with my family, some with hers;There was a photo of a girls night that they organized; Piper and Reyna had become incredibly closer and they hugged each other in that photo.

Another of my favorites had been at the wedding of Annabeth and Percy; Reyna had worn a red dress that had driven me crazy ... well, it still drives me crazy.

The second largest was more recent. In a couple of months would be a year: the photo of our wedding.

We had married in Georgetown, on the beach. I remember being trembling with fear on the altar, thinking of all that could go wrong, thinking of all the mistakes I could make; But when the music started and Reyna appeared, I forgot everything.

She looked like a true Roman goddess in her white dress, black waves falling on her shoulders and nerves shining in her eyes: just seeing her filled me with peace and joy.

It had been a small wedding, just family, friends and a few college mates.

The salsa song that Reyna was dancing when I arrived ended; she turned around to change the ballad that had started and looked at me.

"Leo!" I smiled and approached her. "You're early."

I took her in my arms.

She didn't have a drop of makeup on, her hair still looked wet so she'd probably just bathed; But her eyes were pure happiness.

I smiled and felt the blood flowing through my veins again.

"I missed you so much" I confessed, she rolled her eyes.

"Leo, we went out to lunch together, you saw me a few hours ago," I shook my head.

"I never have enough of you." She smiled and gave me a kiss, pulling away from me to finish dinner.

"Your mother expects us to get to Georgetown tonight, can you put your bags at Festus while I finish cooking dinner?"

I went to the stove and turned off the wick, she was about to claim me when I caught her in a kiss.

That was the effect Reyna had on me, when I missed her, there was nothing that mattered more than spending time with her.

It was not long before we finished in the room, I was aware that my mother would kill us for being late, but at that moment the brunette in my arms was the only thing that mattered to me.

Reyna was sleeping soundly.

We had been given ten o'clock in the evening, had to call my mother and make up an excuse to tell her that we would arrive until the next day.

After graduating from college, Reyna had gotten a job at a major law firm and the last case she had had left her exhausted, so I decided to let her sleep in my arms.

She had changed very little since high school, and yet I didn't get tired of seeing her.

People would think that after five years of relationship and a year of marriage I might have lost my love for her, but they were wrong; I was more in love with Reyna than ever.

She stirred in my arms and slowly opened her eyes, I smiled and stroked her arm waiting for her to go back to sleep.

"What time is it?" She asked, her voice still muffled.

"Almost midnight Reyrey, go back to sleep." She carved her eyes and shook her head.

She finished waking up and looked at me, my heart skipped a beat; I've never seen anything quite like her that night.

"Leo, there's something I have to tell you." Her face turned serious. She sat on the bed and took my hands "Leo ..."

She made a pause that seemed eternal to me and then a tear rolled down her left cheek.

"Honey, what's up? Are you okay?" Then she burst into tears and my heart sank.

"Queen?" I asked her, taking her in my arms, she sobed a few more times, and pulled away from me again to look in to my eyes.

"I don't know what happened ... I know it's not what we wanted" she sobbed again and the desperation grew inside me.

"Reyna I don't understand, what happens?"

I saw her arm herself with courage and looked me in the eyes once more, then she said:

"I'm pregnant"

I froze: her words echoing inside me.

"Are you serious?"She nodded and tears flooded her cheeks again.

I took her in my arms and kissed her with as much love as I could, I kissed her until we were short of breath and then I stood up and did what any man would have done in my position:

"I'M GOING TO BE A DAD!"I shouted and Reyna smiled through her tears.

"You are not…?"She started and I looked at her as if she were speaking in another language.

"Angry?"She nodded and I pulled her hands up so she stood in front of me "You just made me the happiest man in the world Reyna"

"But what about our plans? And the trip to Rome? And ...?"I put a finger to her lips.

"I don't give a fuck about it, I wouldn't change this for nothing"

"For real?"

"You don't want it?"Her eyes opened like dinner plates.

"No, of course I do! I just thought ..." I shook my head.

"You just made me the happiest man in the world," I smiled and gave me a quick kiss on the lips.

"Wait until Nissa found it" She said, I imagined the surprise on my sister's face and my mother's...

I didn't know what would I have done in my past life, but I must have been very good to deserve the wonderful life I had with Reyna ...
