Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto

Chapter 20-Epilogue

So it's been a fun ride, but this is officially the wrap up on this story :(

I want to thank every person that took the time to read this story and a special thanks to those that left a review! They were all very encouraging!

As for a sequel..I'm taking it into consideration.

Other news…For those of you who are also reading Second Chance, I currently have chapter 30 written but I seem to hit a snag on how to write chapter 31 and I don't want to upload the chapters and then BAM at chapter 30 theres a one month delay before chapter 31 is posted, so I'm trying to carry out the chapters that i do have written to last till the holidays.-So the next chapter for second chance will be posted next week.

Again, I want to apologize for this late update in this story….been so caught up with uni and tumblr…..I'm disgraceful i know… TT^TT.

News about the new blossoming couple in Konoha spread like wildfire. Some were shocked while others not so much. However, one of the most shocked would probably be Naruto. Sure, he wanted to see two of his best friends end up together, but part of him had always thought Sasuke was too asexual to actually be able to land a girl.

Slurping down his tenth bowl of noodles, he grinned like a madman.

"Naruto!"

The said boy turned around. Strands of the tasty noodles hung from his mouth. "Sakuwa-chan, Teme!" He managed to muffle out.

Two disgusted looks contorted on their face, as they watched the strands of noodle spray out and land a few feet in front of the eager blond.

"On a date?" He wiggled his brows suggestively.

"No, no nothing of that sort, we're going to find the Hokage. I'm sure she probably dying to know what's been going on with me these past few weeks." Sakura gave a small laugh.

Naruto's grin flattered a bit. "Sakura-chan…" His blue eyes looked apologetic. "A week ago, I went to your parents…."

"I know, but I'm not mad." Naruto's smile returned almost instantaneously. "But...just don't do it again Naruto, cause there are jounins out there just waiting for you to do something out of line and demote you."

Eagerly nodding, Naruto's grin grew as he promised her.

"Let's go Sasuke-kun." She gave the stoic boy beside her a soft smile, as she laced her fingers in between his. The small blush on his face didn't go unnoticed by his two teammates.

"Aa."

Bidding Naruto goodbye, Sakura dragged Sasuke away from the small ramen stand and towards the looming Hokage tower.

"TEME! REMEMBER USE PROTECTION!" Naruto shouted after the couple.

The whole trip to the hokage tower was eventful. It seemed like all the fangirls came out from their stalker cave today.

Tears mixed with glares were aimed at the medic, while Sakura mentally sweat dropped.

"…back off Sasuke-kun"

"He's mine."

"Unhand him you whore" A scathing glare courtesy of the Uchiha silenced the girl.

"Why her Sasuke-kun?"

Sakura rolled her eyes, at the group of desperate girls congregated to the sidelines. No one dared to actually step before the couple, especially not after the little incident a few moments ago.

"SASUKE-KUN, WHY ARE YOU WITH HER" A small blond spat out while glaring at the medic, who was preparing to punch this idiotic fangirl. "I'M SOOOO MUCH BETTER."

Sasuke's grip on Sakura's hand tightened, as he dragged her past the pissed off blond.

"OH MY GOD, LET GO OF HIM YOU CONNIVING SLUT." The blond fangirl shouted, as she grabbed the hem of Sasuke's shirt.

Turning around, he rudely shoved the screaming blond away from him.

"Sasuke-kunnnn" She whine, giving him her best puppy dog eyes. Sasuke scoff. He had to admit her puppy dog eyes were nothing compared to Sakuras. "What's so great about her." She pointed a manicure finger at the medic.

"Leave." He growled at the blond, who slightly shrank away.

"Tell me why her?" The blond's voice slightly quivered as she asked, but she stayed rooted in her position.

"I said leave!" Onyx eyes switched into crimson ones.

Giving a small 'eep' the fangirl scampered off like a scared dog with it's tail between it's legs.

After this small incident no fangirl dared to directly approach the couple. They merely voiced their complaints from the sidelines.

"Ignore them." Sasuke whispered into Sakura's ears, as he hastily dragged her behind him.

Once the pair arrived in front of the familiar oak door, Sasuke rudely pushed it open uncaring about whether or not they were invited.

A glare was casted at the rude Uchiha. "Sasuke-kun" Sakura whispered harshly, but nonetheless followed him into the large office.

A tired Hokage glared from behind the stacks of papers on her desk and at the intrusion. "Do you not know how to knock, Uchiha?"

"Hn. Sakura wants to talk to you."

The glare immediately vanished from her honey colored eyes, as she stared at her apprentice. Scanning her from head to toe, she noted that Sakura looked better. During her stay at the hospital, her skin was an awful grey color, and her eyes lacked it's normal luster, but now she looked better. Her skin regained it's normal peach color, and her eyes were again full of life.

"What would you like to talk to me about?"

Sasuke gently squeezed her hand. The medic stared up and smiled. It was going to be fine, he was here with her. Taking a deep breath, she told Tsunade everything. From her parents to her brother to Akiko.

When she was finished, she waited for a response from Tsunade.

Clasping her hands under her chin, Tsunade stared at the girl that was almost like a daughter to her. She felt a wave of nausea hit her. This forever smiling girl held such a pained past, yet she still found the will to live and move forward. As much as Tsunade wanted to throw those so called parents and that Tsumura Akiko out of the village, she had no grounds to do so.

Sakura's parents may have neglected her emotionally, but it wasn't like they locked her up in a basement and starved her, so there's nothing that she could charge them with. And Akiko, what she was doing was simply bullying.

"Thank you for telling me." Tsunade finally decided to speak. "But Sakura you do understand that there's no punishment I can give to your parents or Akiko. I mean I can make sure you never get missions assigned with Akiko, but other than that my hands are tied."

The pink haired woman before her nodded, a soft smile present on her face. "I know that. I told you because I felt that you should know, I'm not looking for some sort of punishment to be handed out. Also, I kinda want this whole probation thing to end, and return to working at the hospital." She gave a small laugh

Tsunade give a short chuckle. "You will be reinstated at your post in the hospital then. Be sure to sure up on time tomorrow."

The smile on Sakura's face grew larger. "Thank you Tsunade-shishou."

"Now, shoo I have to get back to work, before Shizune confiscated my Sake again." The older blond woman ushered the two ninjas out.

Giving a bow, they left the office. However, before they fully exited the room. Tsunade called out to Sakura

"Oh, and congratulations Sakura." Her honey orbs glanced in the stoic Uchiha's direction.

Sakura blushed while mumbling something incoherent while Sasuke smirked.

As the sun was setting for the day, the glowing orange color lit up the sky. Sitting on top of the Hokage monument the couple enjoyed each other's presence while watching the sun disappear below the horizon.

The cool night air breezed through the bustling village.

"Thank you for everything you've done for me these past few weeks." Said Sakura as she stared at the boy beside her.

"Aa" He received a sharp jab to the ribs.

"You're welcome." He said again, giving the girl a mocking glare. Sakura just smiled at him.

"Well, with me back working at the hospital, I think I'll start looking for a place to rent." Sakura mused aloud. "Know any places?"

Sasuke's face was impassive. "You're not moving."

"Eh? But I'm not on probation anymore."

Sasuke turned to stare at the girl. He wasn't going to admit it aloud but he really enjoyed living with her these past few weeks. Her constant chatter and smiles brighten up that gloomy compound of him. It made his home seem less empty and more like a habitable home. "I said you're not leaving."

"But…"

"You're my girlfriend, we're bound to move in together sooner or later." His gaze bore into her confused eyes, daring her to challenge him.

Giggling, Sakura placed her head on his shoulder. "You're bossy"

Sasuke smirked.

.

.

.

"Ne Sasuke-kun can you repeat what you said?"

He stared at her head. "Repeat what?"

Green eyes with a mischievous tint in them stared up. "That I'm your girlfriend."

"No"

She lifted her head off his shoulder and glared. "Sasuke-kun!"

"…"

"I'll move out."

"You're my girlfriend, happy?"

She smiled at him, and placed her head on his shoulders once more.

She was indeed happy.
