"You know, he has your eyes," Alex stated as she looked over Olivia's shoulder to the sleeping baby she held cradled in her arms.

"Do you think so?" Olivia asked turning her head to look at Alex. How many times had she imagined sitting in a chair with the positions reversed as Alex held their child in her arms.

"I do, and you know it's not too late."

Olivia looked at Alex with a questioning look on her face.

"For us to have a child," Alex stated knowing all too well what she was thinking. Hell, to be honest, it had been the same thing she had been thinking since Michelle had given birth the day before, especially when she came in the room and found Olivia asleep with Michael on her chest.

Olivia stared down at Michael for a few minutes, thinking about what Alex had said. She knew if anyone could make it possible, it would be her and she wouldn't even think twice about it. As much as she had wanted a child, and honestly still wanted one, they were both nearing retirement and could finally start to do everything they had wanted to do.

"Thank you, but no," Olivia whispered as she began to bounce Michael when he started to stir, "We are each a few years off from retirement and can start traveling and doing everything we've always wanted to do. We have a grandchild now to spoil and that's what I want to do, spoil him."

"That makes two of us," Alex said reaching out and gently pinching his cheeks, "God, he looks so much like you. To see him, I would have thought you gave birth to him."

"I know," Olivia mumbled staring at the little boy, "I guess we need to go tell Wesley."

"I can have the lawyers do it if you like or we can send Casey," Alex took a deep breath and exhaled it slowly, "Or we can go in person and tell him, which is what I know you want to do."

"'You're right," Olivia chuckled amazed as always of how well Alex could read her, "I do, but I want you standing by me when I tell him," Olivia stated as she gently placed Michael back in Michelle's arms before turning to face Alex, "Please?"

Alex pulled Olivia to her and kissed her gently on the lips, "Honey, if you want me standing by you when you tell him, I'll do that, if you want me to wait in the car, I will. You tell me what you need and you'll have it."

"Just you," Olivia whispered as she pulled Alex tighter against her body as Robert walked in, "Always you."

"Hello, grandmothers," Robert said with a laugh, "I can only imagine how spoiled he is already."

"No more spoiled than his grandmother," Alex stated reluctantly removing herself from Olivia's hold, but wrapping her arm around Olivia's waist to maintain the contact she constantly craved.

"Then he's pretty spoiled already"

"That's an understatement," Michelle called out from behind them, "Robert, it's great to see you again."

"Let us know if you need anything later," Olivia said as she held the door open for Alex, "We'll stop it by if you do."

Michelle nodded in agreement as Olivia walked out and closed the door behind her.

Alex sat at the table and watched Olivia pace back and forth in the small room the prison had put them in to talk to Wesley. She knew she was torn and would probably remain that way till the day she died. She wanted to visit Wesley and be a mother to him the best she could, but the cop in her, the one who had witnessed the aftermath of rape first hand, the one who held victim after victim as they relived everything they went through wanted to write him. She couldn't even begin to imagine what she was going through on a daily basis.

"I know a part of you hates him," Alex said standing and stopping Olivia from pacing, "But I also know that, as a mother, no matter what your child does, you still love him or her."

"Yeah, but after what he said to me, about me, I can't forgive that."

"You can forgive it, but just don't forget it. Above all, just remember, he did give you a grandson," Alex held up her hand to stop her from interrupting her, "I know that doesn't excuse what he did and nothing will ever excuse what he did. But even the hardest of parents soften at the discovery of grandchildren."

"I guess so," Olivia answered taking a calming breath upon hearing the door open.

"Alex, Olivia," Wesley stated walking in and seeing both women standing there, "I never thought I would see either of you again. Is everything okay? Did something happen?"

"Everything is fine," Alex answered when all Olivia did was stare at the man before them, "Please have a seat."

Wesley took a seat as instructed and stared at them both.

Olivia took a deep breath and looked Wesley in the eyes, "Your son was born yesterday at ten-seventeen pm," Olivia took a picture out of her pocket and handed it to him, "He is eight pounds, two ounces, and eighteen inches long. He has our brown eyes and brown hair and he's received a clean bill of health as well."

Wesley took the picture and traced Michael with his fingers. There were tears in his eyes when he looked up at Olivia, "Can I know his name please?"

Olivia considered the question and started to refuse to share his name for his safety, but changed her mind. She knew without a doubt that the contract Alex had drawn up was iron tight and they both would move heaven and earth to protect him.

"Michael Andrew Weathers."

"That's a good, strong name," Wesley said as the tears fell from his eyes, "I know I have screwed up and will spend the rest of my life in here," He looked up at Alex and then Olivia, "Promise me that you won't let him do the same thing. Please don't let him wind up in here."

Both women looked at each other and then back at Wesley. This was a far cry from the man who blamed everything on Olivia just a few months prior. But they both knew what could happen in jail to rapists.

"Wesley, is everything okay?" Olivia asked the cop in her coming out, "Has something happened? If you're scared, we can have you placed in protective custody."

"No, nothing like that," Wesley answered bending some so he could wipe the tears from his face, "I was wrong to blame you. I know that, I just wanted to lash out and make you feel the pain I felt. It was like my whole life was a lie. I found out who you were and researched you. I wanted to make you pay, but instead I ruined the lives of other women."

Alex took Olivia's shaking hand in hers and gave it a squeeze.

"This is no life for anyone. I'm told when to wake up, when to shower, when to eat. Hell, I don't even get to choose what I eat. I don't get to use the restroom in private and I'm searched anytime they feel like it. I have stripped, squatted and coughed in front of strange men more times than I have ever wanted to. The way some of the inmates look at me makes me feel violated as it is. I deserve every bit of it, I know. But I don't ever want my son to endure this. So I beg of you, please, please, please do everything you can to detour him from this."

"Wesley, you have our word," Alex stated as she released Olivia's hands and reached forward taking his in hers, "if he ever winds up in prison, it won't be for the lack of us trying to lead him down the right path."

"Thank you," Wesley raised his head slowly and looked Olivia in the eyes, "You're lucky to have such an amazing woman." He released Alex's hands and slowly stood up and walked to the door, "I know it's useless, but I really am sorry." Wesley hung his head as the guards opened the door and motioned for him to walk out, following closely behind him.
