Hope you all enjoy this chapter! Really had a good time writing these characters after a long delay, that being said please forgive me if any mistakes were made on characters or anything!

June 14th

10:00 Wednesday

Loud booms and rumbles of thunder was all Rukia heard that morning, causing her to stay in bed with Ichigo for an hour more. The thing was, she was awake since eight'o clock making her toss and turn for a few more hours of shuteye.

But alas, it didn't work.

When Ichigo finally woke up he yawned and saw Rukia sleep in an awkward position almost off the bed.

"Good morning...Rukia?"

"Huh?" She groaned in reply.

"Seems you had a good night im assuming." Ichigo's sarcasm was rewarded with a loud strike of thunder and a flash of lightning.

Rukia rose up from her position. "Yeah, try sleeping through that all morning."

"Whatever." Ichigo scoffed. "I'm gonna go ahead and see if work is canceled to-"

"Ichi~nii!"

Yuzu swung the door in a might that was unknown to Ichigo and anyone else.

"Yuzu what's wrong?"

"The power's out!" She shrieked.

"And...?"

"And? It's dark Ichi~nii! I can't find Karin anywhere!"

Ichigo sighed to himself, again Yuzu was sixteen yet she still hadn't lost that childesh side of her.

"Alright Yuzu hang on a second, there might be a flashlight somewhere around..."

Suddenly a light froze on Ichigo.

"Looking for this?" Karin entered waving the flashlight at her brother.

"KARIN!" A voice then called from behind. "Please don't leave me downstairs alone in that darkness!" Isshin hid behind her.

"Will you knock it off!?" Karin shouted behind her.

"B-But there's...something downstairs."

Karin sighed at her fathers child like attitude making Ichigo feel as if Karin was an exact copy of him.

"So what do we do?" She asked.

"Until that power comes back on we're just going to have to stay together since of..."

Ichigo glanced at Yuzu and Isshin who were petrified to the point they seemed to be both shaking and sweating perfidiously. Again he just sighed at this and glanced at Karin who fully understood what he was hinting at.

Once it was settled, Ichigo closed his eyes and fell onto his bed, however he opened an eye at Rukia who turned tense.

"Ichigo...do you feel..."

"Y-Yeah..."

"What is it?" Yuzu panicked.

"It's nothing, just me and Rukia need to do something quickly."

"No Onii-chan!" Yuzu jumped on Ichigo. "Please don't leave us!"

"Yuzu, it's fine I promise you. Just this is really important at the moment okay?" Ichigo reasoned.

"But it's dark in here! And it's dangerous outside, didn't you hear how long the storm will go on for? Possibly until the evening."

"Listen...Yuzu..."

Rukia put a hand on Ichigo's shoulder and stared at Yuzu with a look similar to the one she had given him the night they had confessed. Only this time her eyes didn't sparkle in the moon, instead it shined with the reflection of heavy rain slamming the window.

"We promise." She smiled.

"A-Alright..."

Ichigo watched his lover just say two words and instantly it was enough to calm Yuzu down. Instantly he had another hot feeling appear in his stomach, the feeling of what a true relationship was like. Shortly after, Ichigo faced Yuzu.

"Thanks Yuzu, don't worry maybe when the storm blows over we'll go shopping."

Yuzu nodded allowing Ichigo to turn to Karin.

"Karin, please watch over them while we're gone okay?"

"Of course." She nodded.

"Okay good, Rukia."

Rukia nodded back at the three and followed Ichigo out the door. The two left the clinic slowly and dashed out of the door, rushing over towards the direction of the hollow.

"Where is it?" Ichigo called after Rukia as she took the lead.

"This way!" She nodded towards the direction.

The couple ran until colliding with a similar location of interest.

It was an Ice Rink, an Ice Rink that Rukia and Ichigo can recall very well. The memories began to pour in Ichigo's mind allowing him to already be cascaded in more feelings for Rukia. Yet he shrugged them off, yeah he loved Rukia. But this was more urgent then focusing on his feelings for her, this was the time to actually show if he had actually meant everything he had said to Rukia from words to action.

Ichigo managed to catch up with Rukia who stood there awaiting his arrival.

"Whats up?"

"No wonder..." Rukia mumbled.

"Huh?" Ichigo focused his attention towards Rukia's direction.

There low and behold the hollow who was crushing most of the electrical wires around the town. Causing of course, the blackout in the clinic.

"Ichigo." Rukia turned to him. "Here." She pulled out a certain stuffed animal from the pocket of her frilly flower dress.

"Hey! What's the big idea! You finally pull me out after I nearly suffocate to death! Are you listening Rukia! I would've died!" Kon screamed and kicked as Ichigo grabbed him from Rukia's grasp.

"Kon, take care of my body."

"Yeah, yeah I'll do whatever I want with it!" He stuck his tongue out towards the soul reaper.

Ichigo just pulled the soul candy out of his mouth and gulped it down. Pulling out his shinigami form.

"Let's go!"

Ichigo and Rukia jumped towards the hollow as it was distracted with the electrical wires surrounding it, giving them a perfect opportunity.

"Ichigo hit it from the front when...i" Rukia stopped speaking as she noticed Ichigo dodging lash and lash from the lunging hollow.

"Ichigo!"

Rukia used shunpo in order to get to Ichigo quickly as possible. Yet she knew if she had gotten in the way of another one of the hollow's inaccurate hits towards Ichigo. Then it could leave a devastating mark on her.

As Ichigo kept trying to make his way in for a hit, the hollow wouldn't stop with the same routeen of letting him dodge a strike and then back away. Allowing Ichigo to go for the skull, at the risk of still being bombarded with another lash.

"Ichigo! Wait!" Rukia finally stepped in. "Can't you see its..."

"Rukia watch out!"

"Wha...?" Rukia finally looked away from Ichigo and in front of her she saw the hollow make a slice across three buildings, and she was right in the middle of it.

"Rukia!"

Ichigo shoved Rukia from the hollow's attack and took the slash straight to the chest as he had defended his queen from a wound far from recovery.

Rukia watched as Ichigo had been thrown into a nearby house.

"ICHIGO!"

She came to him in a moment of shock and awe, however Ichigo had instantly hopped up from the hollows attack unharmed with only a couple of scratches. It was then clear to the two that this hollow was pretty weak and the use of teamwork at this point would be pretty pointless knowing the two's spiritual pressure would be overkill for this one hollow.

The couple then exchanged glances.

"Rukia, don't worry I'll handle it." Ichigo first spoke.

"No Ichigo, I can handle it myself." Rukia assured.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you do that."

"What?"

"Listen Rukia our relationship aside, I really can't stand to see you do this yourself. You've already handled enough work, it's time you let someone else fill your shoes."

"But that was only paperwork!" Rukia defended in a cute manner making Ichigo slightly blush.

"Paperwork or not, your going to take a break whether you like it or hate it." Ichigo readied Zangetsu as the hollow roared, dashing towards him.

"Get lost!" Ichigo yelled jumping with enough reiatsu in Zangetsu to kill fifty times the amount of hollows.

The hollow came at full speed roaring before a piercing slash split the skull into two, making it burst out a scream of defeat.

Ichigo jumped and backed away from the scene and sheathed Zangetsu on his shoulder watching the hollow fade away. Rukia shuffled over to Ichigo, standing side to side against him.

"So does that answer your question now?"

Rukia stood frozen for a moment. "Yes, it does."

"Good, cause I'm taking command of everything now. So take a load off and chill, jeez." Ichigo finally glanced at Rukia who was staring at the ground.

"Rukia...?"

"Kurosaki-kun is actually taking charge of things!? Oh my!" Rukia mocked Ichigo in a schoolgirl voice. "I guess that means he can do all the cleaning, cooking and family work all by himself!"

"Shudddup." Ichigo rolled his eyes at the giggling Rukia. "What you've never seen me take charge of anything before?"

"From what I can infer this morning, you couldn't calm down your own family for one second without having me around to take your place, you baka."

"Still that doesn't mean...!"

"Calm down." Rukia stopped laughing. "Do you really have to take it that personally?"

"You made it seem that way..." Ichigo turned away embarrassed. "Can we just go home?"

Rukia smiled. "You give up so easily."

"Haha, yeah very funny. Let's go okay?" The strawberry answered agitated.

She shook her head as the two headed back to the clinic.

"We're back!" Ichigo called out noticing the house had full power back on.

"Welcome back Ichi-nii! Rukia-chan!" Yuzu replied from the kitchen.

"Hey." Karin yelled from the couch.

"How did the power come back on?" Rukia asked first.

"I had a generator down in the clinic." Isshin came from down the stairs. "At first I thought it was broken, but its not!" He let out a jolly chuckle.

"That's nice, I'm taking a shower." Ichigo gave Rukia a kiss on the cheek and ran upstairs.

"Remember to use a...!"

"Yeah, yeah use a clean towel, I got it Yuzu!" He called from the stairs.

"What Ichigo doesn't use clean towels after he bathes?" Rukia rose a brow, thinking about why she smelt a unfamiliar odor last night. She had shrugged the thought of telling him about it today, but thought that would of just made him either mad or embarrased. Since it was pretty easy for her to do the following to him.

"Rukia, Chappy's on!" Karin grabbed her attention.

Rukia hopped in surprise. "Yeah coming!" But she couldn't get it out of her head.

"Does Ichigo use dirty towels to dry off?"

The storm had eventually stopped around 7'o clock.

Wednesday wasn't really much of a fun day for Rukia. She felt like Wednesday's was as awkward like a hump on a camel, In a matter of fact it came to her. How did Camel's get those humps? And what were the for? But most of all what really intrigued Rukia was what was a camel at all? She had heard from one soul reaper at the Soul Society that it was an animal that lived in dry, humid environments. And that they had a huge hump on their back, for of course something.

She stopped drawing in her journal and turned to Ichigo who was to busy listening to music while studying.

"Ichigo." Her voice soft and silent trying to obtain the berry's attention.

"Ichigo?"

Still no answer.

Rukia got up from the bed and sneaked up from behind.

She examined Ichigo before doing anything, she noticed he was reading and writing. It had all seemed normal yet, why couldn't he hear her? Did she do something wrong? Was this punishment for the hollow earlier today?

Rukia was starting feel a little worried. "Ichigo."

No answer.

"Ichigo." Her voice rang normally.

Nothing.

"Ichigo." Her volume now shortly above an inside voice.

Nada.

Rukia was now getting annoyed.

"Ichigo! If you do not...!"

"What's going on!?" Karin opened the door. "I kept hearing someone yell, is everything...?"

Karin stopped and scanned the room before sighting Rukia standing furiously behind Ichigo who it had looked from her view not giving a single crap that she had existed. She walked in and called out his name for a second before identifying the earphones.

She pulled them out gaining Ichigo's attention instantly.

"Why'd you do..."

He paused when seeing Karin and Rukia starring at him immensely.

"What?"

"Rukia has been trying to get your attention. I can hear her calling out your name all the way from downstairs."

"Oh..." Ichigo rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm sorry Rukia, thought you knew I was listening to music."

"Music? What music?" Rukia asked confused.

"This." Ichigo pulled out the MP3 player from his pocket.

"So that device plays music? But how come I don't hear it?"

"Cause of this." Ichigo disconnected the earphone cord from the slot of the player and showed it to her. "See these little things here allows me to listen to my music without having to play it aloud."

"Put one of them in your ear, try it." Ichigo persuaded.

"I just insert one of these into my ear and then I can hear music?"

"Yep."

"Hmm...okay." Rukia grabbed a earphone and pushed it into her ear. "Why can't I hear anything?"

Ichigo sighed silently to himself. "You got it on backwards, see?"

He pulled the backwards earphone from her ear and reversed the direction it faced.

"Can you hear it now?"

Rukia stood there as Ichigo and Karin watched her listen. Her reaction was pretty eminent after a couple of seconds.

"How can you listen to that at such a volume!?" Rukia rubbed her ears.

"I'm used to it."

Rukia gaped at him stunned.

"I'm out." Karin departed the room leaving the two shinigami in a similar situation.

"I know you're stunned, now tell me what you wanted me for?

"Right." Rukia sat on his bed. "I was thinking about today, the date."

"Yeah?"

"It's Wednesday."

"Ok."

"And It reminded me of a certain animal."

"Which is?"

"A camel."

Ichigo then knew what Rukia was going to say once that animal had been announced.

"Let me guess, it has to do with the hump?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

"Rukia, ever heard the expression. "Humpday?"

"No, why?"

"It's a term for days like this meaning that we're in the middle of the week."

"Ah, so I see." Rukia seemed fascinated.

"Good..."

"Wait!"

"Yeah?"

"It wasn't that, it was about camels and why they have humps. Do you know why?"

"Uhh..." Ichigo scratched his head. "I really can't remember why they do, but maybe." He got up from his chair and came towards her.

"Maybe it has to do with...?" Rukia still curious questioned.

"It has to do with the both of us, being in the middle of a relationship." He sat next to her.

"But camels have had humps since the beginning of time, they didn't just have humps three days ago cause of us."

"True, but have you thought that maybe they were anticipating for this to happen?"

"Camels we're anticipating for us to get together?" Rukia thought for a moment. "Wait a second!"

She stood in front of Ichigo. "Kurosaki-kun! Please tell me more about how animals have similarities and knowledge about our relationship! You are so smart!"

Ichigo smirked and pulled her by the hip.

"Someone oughta teach you the right way to respect others."

Rukia rolled her eyes and smiled. "What are you gonna do about it...? Kurosaki-kun?"

"Oh I'll tell ya."

Ichigo of course went in for a kiss but Rukia denied him entry.

"I hope you remembered I'm not just some simple minded schoolgirl, I'm a soul reaper."

"Well Miss Soul Reaper. Guess we'll just have to change your mind about this won't we?"

"We?"

"Yes we. Just kiss me already!"

Rukia laughed and the two finally kissed after their casual roleplay. Their lip's not loosing any bloom from all the night's they've laid together in bitter sweet harmony. After another consecutive kissing session they stopped.

"I wish we'll stay together for the end." Rukia snuggled on his chest.

"Hey, I'm supposed to be making the wishes around here, if you don't know."

"Don't know? About what? Wait...could it be Kurosaki-kun's birthday tomorrow!?"

"Knock it off." Ichigo elbowed her playfully. "Besides, I don't want anything for my birthday. All I just want is for us to be happy together, and nothing will get in the way of that."

"But what about the hardships, obstacles and many difficulties we will face!" Rukia sarcastically said.

"To hell with that." He chuckled. "The two of us united, will be already enough for that."

Rukia grinned and faced him.

"When comes my birthday, I actually have a wish."

"That'll be?"

"That one day you'll actually approve of me loving Chappy."

"Time that comes I'll be dead."

"No, not I'll." Rukia came closer towards his lips. "But we'll..."

"Doesn't that sound cruel?"

"Wait...don't tell me...Kurosaki-kun is scared!"

Ichigo gave a wolfish grin and put a finger on her lip.

"Be quiet."

Ichigo removed his finger kissed her smooth milky lips, for a silence no love but theirs could seal. The rest of the night was quiet and peaceful as most of Karakura Town usually was. Nevertheless, this night was more unique. As the moon glimmered on a present he truly wanted all this time.

I really liked writing this chapter felt very nice to begin writing about these two again. Don't know why I kept putting my personal life in front of this!

But that's it! Next chapter will come as soon as I have the time which is most likely going to be in summer since im finally outta school and I don't have to waste anymore time on focusing on my grades!
