Hey everyone! I've really gotten into Gravity Falls and I suddenly got the idea for this story. So, in this story the characters are real humans and not cartoons. Remember, this is just my own take on this show.
P.S: Who else can't get the Gravity Falls theme song outta their head?
The sun was high up in the sky, and the birds were singing. People walked around in their pyjamas, seeing no real reason to be properly dressed, a man lay on the burning asphalt wearing only shorts, and a little girl's Lemonade Stand was quickly gaining customers.
Yup, it's Summertime here in Peidmont, California.
But you could really tell it's summer when a baseball smashed through a window, and hit the mail man right in the nuts.
"Score!" a voice yelled from that window. The door of a nice medium sized yellow brick house opened, and out came a skinny girl of average height.
She had fairly tanned skin, electric blue eyes, and straight chocolate brown hair. She was wearing a pink tank top with the picture of a cupcake on it, blue jean shorts, and a pair of sandals.
"And Mabel Pines wins the game!" When she spoke, she had a small lisp because of her braces.
The mail man lay sideways on the ground, crying into his bagful of letters. "Oops, sorry Earl." Mabel mutters, skipping away.
A lanky boy with slightly paler skin than Mabel walked out of the house next. He had shaggy brown hair, ocean blue eyes, and he was wearing a red polo shirt, with grey shorts and black converse.
"That's the last time I play football with you." He says to his twin sister.
"Oh come on Dip, let loose! Go wild! Go crazy! It's summer!." Mabel rolls her eyes and picks up the old battered baseball.
"Mabel, we're twelve years old, not eighteen." Dipper Pines says, looking around at the street full of children playing. "And this summer is going to be really boring."
"We're going to stay with Great Uncle Stan. That shouldn't be too bad." says Mabel, adjusting the blue headband on her head.
"Yeah, because every kid loves playing old board games that shouldn't even be called games and smell your uncle's farts while he laughs at an unfunny joke."
"I don't think unfunny is a word." Mabel sighs.
"Whatever." Dipper groans. He looks up at the shining sun. "I just wish this summer will be a little...fun. An adventure wouldn't be so bad."
And as he stared longer at the sun, Dipper thought he saw the sun become an eye. The iris was bright orange and winked at him. Dipper gasped.
He rubbed his eyes, only to see the regular shining sun. "Mabel, did you see that?"
"Shee wha?" replies Mabel with a mouthful of her hair. Dipper gave her look, then turned back to face the sky.
"T-t-the sun! It turned into an eye and winked at me!"
"Dude, why would the sun ever wink at you? It's just your imagination Dip." Mabel says, walking back into the house.
Dipper stood there in the middle of the road. He stared long and hard at the sun, which was now beginning to go down. "It's not my stupid imagination." Dipper mutters, "I saw what I saw."
"Dipper! Stop talking to yourself and start packing. It's nearly time to go."
Grunting in frustration, Dipper glared one last time at the star filled sky, then walked back towards his house.
Alright, so what did you think? I know it's short but the next chapter will be longer. Please review! Peace.
