-4:25AM-
The young aspiring punk was in a fit of rage, "You shut the hell up! Don't you dare talk about Ema like that again!"
Fuuto was stunned. He didn't dare look his brother in the eyes, he could tell by the tone of his voice that he was engulfed in his own rage. But that didn't stop the tears and the pain that accompanied it.
"Y-Yusuke?" Fuuto murmured still keeping his eyes dodged from the red-head's, attempting to stop himself from reeling in shock, "I didn't mean to upset y-" but Fuuto lost the words he wanted to say as his mind wandered into the past.
Fuuto had never been hit a day in his life. His mother was always kind and gentle, his brothers were usually very subdued (considering they were all males) and if there ever was a fight, it usually ended fast or was worked out by the two. And ever since leaving his home to take the journey of a pop idol, he had always been surrounded by adoring fans and protective guards. People had always fought his own battles for him. Anger and pain had been virtually nonexistent to the boy. So why did it hurt so bad when reality suddenly hit Fuuto in the face?
Fuuto still remained paralyzed trying to analyze this new feeling, and Yusuke read this as one of Fuuto's many talents as a pop idol, the ability to overdramatize every single situation he was thrown into. He predicted by this point, the boy was probably starting to doubt himself and his uncanny ability to become a complete douchebag if anyone threatened him or he desired attention.
Dammit Yusuke, you need to learn to control your emotions, Yusuke thought, almost feeling a little guilty for hitting his brother She's family, that's why I got emotional. Fuuto just needs to learn to respect that... and maybe he's gonna after this fight.
But what manifested from Fuuto was not respect. No, it was something much better. Something he could use. It burned so brightly in him like it would never be put out. Rage.
With an uncharacteristic manly battle cry, Fuuto was on Yusuke, using all his weight to practically throw his brother out of the vehicle. But Yusuke was used to fights, and easily rolled out of the way to dodge the boy's incoming fist.
"Finally growing a pair of balls, are we?" Yusuke teasingly mocked as he jumped to his feet and pulled a fist back, getting ready for another punch. But, Fuuto's eyes burned with rage, and almost acted as a guide to his fight, adrenaline pulsing and mapping out his moves. With ease, the boy ducked the punch and elbowed his brother in the stomach. Yusuke reeled back with a grunt, loosing air for a moment, but didn't allow himself to fall to the ground.
"Tch." A slight smile pulled at Yusuke's lips, "This is probably the most exercise I've had all day." With a spit to the ground he slowly inclined his head till his fists were up in a fighting position, like a boxer ready for his battle.
Fuuto did the same, and the two were on each other.
The two rolled and grunted, and Ukyo, being the motherly figure of the group, had grown tired of the complete stupidity it seemed every single one of his brothers possessed in some way, shape or form. But even so, Ukyo had to somehow fix it, like he always did.
So, getting out of the car, he pushed himself in-between the two and held each by the head with a palm to stop from attacking the other, "Now stop it, both of you."
It seemed as if both were just hitting air, engulfed in the need to draw blood from the other and Ukyo almost found it difficult to control the two with just his hands from their unquenchable rage.
"Hey!" Ukyo called back to the car from where he stood, towards Kaname and Hikaru who were simply watching, "Mind helping out?"
"Oh us?" Hikaru almost seemed surprised as a deep yawn escaped his lips, "Sorry, too busy."
"What the hell?! You're just sitting there watching!"
"Hey," Kaname tapped Hikaru on the shoulder, "My money's on Yusuke winning this."
"Heh." Hikaru smiled, "I wouldn't be so sure, little Fuuto might just surprise us. After all," Hikaru pulled back his coat to reveal his bruises, "He started all this."
Kaname just nudged his shoulders up and glanced back at Iorri, "What do you think?"
"They're both gonna die eventually." Iorri said indifferently as he continued to study a flickering streetlight that was apparently more intriguing than what was developing right next to him.
"Still need help over here!" Ukyo shouted once more as Fuuto began to bite the blond's hand in an attempt to break free from his grip, bloodlust showing in his eyes.
Kaname chuckled in amusement as he continued watching, "Looks like Fuuto's hungry."
"Shit!" Ukyo began to scream in panic as Yusuke did the same, "They're going to eat me!"
Hikaru let out a long whistle as he listened, "Wow, you never hear that word come from Ukyo. It seems so rare."
"Well, Ukyo is the first to overreact on anything." Kaname added.
"True." Hikaru's eyes returned to the disrupted fight, "Just let them duke it out Ukyo. Sometimes boys need to release this bottled up energy in order to ever move on."
He would know Kaname thought as he suppressed a laugh, but was then cruelly reminded of the little amount of time remaining to gather the information they needed when the digital clock that lined the dashboard stared blankly back at him.
With a huff, Kaname nudged Hikaru who was still watching, and motioned his head back to Iorri. A silent agreement between the two of them had surfaced an earlier plan they had formulated in Natsume's apartment.
"Gotcha." Hikaru grinned back, and turned his head out the window once more to the intercom that had been strangely silent as the fighting erupted, "Sorry about that sir, that's the end of the order. We'll be pulling up to pay now."
There was no answer on the other side, and Hikaru simply assumed the man had abandoned his post by this point.
Kaname dug through his wallet as a 1000 yen bill surfaced and held it back over his head to Iorri.
The boy took it and exited the car silently, Kaname calling after him to make sure to bring back change.
-Drive-Thru Guy's POV-
Bunch of nuts out tonight... The man let out a long sigh as he rubbed his head in irritation. First what appeared like a homeless dude walking through the damn drive-thru and now a group of raging brothers (or maybe homosexuals) that were just screwing with him.
I don't get paid enough for this shit. He came to that stark conclusion as he was reminded of the bleak reality of his minimum wage job. As the horrible realization of this set in, a quiet tap was heard from the drive-thru window.
The hell?
The man approached the window cautiously, but saw nothing as his eyes scanned the outside.
"Damn birds." He returned to his original post and leaned against the wall as he thought of beaches and sunny paradises.
But the knock came again, this time louder, and the man swore on his life that it was not just his imagination. But as before, everything that his eyes saw betrayed a different truth.
"You're a perceptive one." A voice called from behind him, and the man quickly turned around to see a young boy leaning in his original spot.
It could only be described as something out of a horror film, the way the grown man was reduced to the pitiful cries of a teenage girl, the way the boy just stood there, staring at him with blank hazel eyes and dark-blue striped pajamas.
Wait, pajamas?
The man had only just realized this, and seemed to calm down a bit; but still remained on his knees, staring at the ground to avoid eye-contact with this intruder.
"W-what do you want from me?!" he finally managed to stutter out.
But there was no answer as the man was aware of footsteps approaching him, and the touch of a hand on his shoulder. A surprisingly warm one at that.
As his head turned to stare upwards, he could've sworn he was seeing a... smile? A smile on that demon's face.
The smile was actually very calm and considerate, the blank eyes had softened; and the boy in front of him seemed less like a hellspawn and more like a caring young man.
"All I want is some information."
Hot dayum, Iorri can be psycho cray cray in case anybody didn't know. He had this deep, dark backstory in the novel (and I believe the games) that sort of characterizes him in this fanfic, but in the anime they just kind of dodged that whole backstory and went with "little- screen-time-cute-highschool-kid-#playingitsafe." I think he deserved a hell of a lot more screen time along with Louis -.- Awe well, hopefully there's a season 2, right? But hey, this next chapter is gonna focus half on him and maybe check back with Louis and the gang back at the complex. Favorite, follow, and please PLEASE review :3 it brings a smile to my face everytime I see a new review (and it fuels the creative little hamsters in my brain for new ideas and *cough* faster updates) See ya next time!
