Even Great Loss Brings Some Gain
It was dark, and cold. She could barely hear any sound except the ending beat of her heart, echoing off the distant walls and eventually falling to silence as her being ceased to exist.
What was she doing here...? She couldn't remember why she was shrouded by darkness. It only took a few moments before her memories started flooding back to her. About her father. About her life. Her witch hunting. How everything ended. And most importantly, her.
That one little blue headed idiot who had been so stupid to trade her life for that idiot of a boy, thinking he would love her in return. The red-head knew it not to be true from the very beginning when she first found out about the others wish, for she too had tried to help out someone close to her, and it had only backfired in her face, leaving her alone and distorted. She couldn't let that happen to this girl. Who...Shone so brightly in her eyes. Unlike anyone she had ever seen, Sayaka Miki was different. From any other human or magical girl, in any sense, Sayaka was precious to her.
It didn't matter how stupid and foolish she might have been to protect this guy she loved, Kyoko would've done anything to keep her safe. But instead... She had failed. And now they were both dead, and alone. Once again, she was alone, taken away from everything she loved and cherished with everything she had.
It was then that she heard soft crying coming from a small distance. She immediately whipped her head in the direction of the cries and started her way over to them. From around a corner of black, she saw a wisp of light blue hair and she raced around the corner to find her.
There sat Sayaka, crouched up in the corner, her head in her knees and tears softly flowing down her legs. Kyoko made her way over to the girl and crouched in front of her, gazing softly at her with her fiery red eyes. A small smile came upon her face as she wrapped her arms gently around the girl's small figure. A small gasp came from Sayaka's mouth and she slowly looked up to see Kyoko wrapped around her, holding her close. The girl tried to speak, but nothing came out, "I-I..."
Kyoko smiled more, pulling Sayaka closer "It's alright now, I'm here Sayaka.."
Sayaka wrapped her arms around the red-head, pulling her close, "K-Kyoko!" She screamed, tears pouring down her face.
Kyoko put her face to the other, wiping her tears away softly with her thumb, "Hey, it's 'aight. You're gonna be ok" Her face gave off its usual small smirk before she stated, "Now we can be together, k?"
Sayaka nodded and clung to Kyoko more as she helped the blue haired girl up and took her hand in her own, turning to her. "We're gonna be happy now, no more witches, no more sadness, no more nothin', just you and me"
Sayaka opened her mouth to speak "It depends.. " She sniffed before turning to Kyoko and putting their noses together.
Kyoko smirked, a small blush apparent on her cheeks "Oh ya? Oh what?"
"It depends if you don't eat all my food, that's what" Sayaka gave off her own smirk
The red-head shook her head and rolled her eyes "Whatever, babe" She smiled and pressed her lips to Sayaka's gently, the kiss only lasting for a few seconds before she pulled away "Love ya~"
Sayaka smiled and tightened her grip on the others hand "Love ya too Kyoko~"
