Aurora was feeling sorry for herself. Not normally something she would indulge in, but she had had a terrible day and needed some cheering up. She found herself wandering around parts of her town that she didn't know so well. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she thought this was a bad idea, but she carried on until she found a bar. Alcohol and Aurora was a bad combination and she knew it. That, of course, didn't stop her from going inside.
Luckily for her, the bar was quite empty and she sauntered up to buy herself a drink. The man at the bar had his back turned but she slammed her hand on the bar.
"I'll have a large gin and tonic!" She announced.
The barman turned around and grinned at her. "Right you will, lass."
She noticed his hook in place of his hand and groaned inwardly. She had heard of this particular barman and his reputation and almost immediately regretted stepping foot into the place.
However, several gin and tonics later and she was happy as a clam.
"Killian." She slurred. "You're not quite as bad as people make out you to be."
"Aye, but a fake reputation is all a man has."
She looked thoughtful for a moment. Then stumbled off into the direction of the toilet. When she came back she had a thing or two to say to this Killian.
"What have you got against mermaids?!"
"Ah, you saw my sign!"
"Yes I saw your sign. Warning: Mermaids, what's that all about?"
"When you've been a Pirate as long as I have lass, you'd know the trouble we get into with mermaids." He smirked to himself clearly at some inside joke.
"Well I happen to know some decent mermaids."
"I'm sure you do love, but when they seduce all you're and leave you with no crew, one can't help but hold a grudge."
"Oh please, like you wouldn't love to be seduced by a mermaid."
He smiled at her and leaned in closer. "Actually, I think I'd prefer a Princess."
