Forgotten Snowstorms

Prologue

Hiccup's POV

My name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, and a few months ago, I defeated the Red Death with my best friend, Toothless.

Many years ago, way before Toothless, I had an imaginary friend named Jack Frost. He was my first best friend and was a winter spirit, and he never grew old.

We played every day, having snowball fights, building snowmen, making forts and snow angels, or just relaxing and talking while sitting in the soft snow covered ground.

About two years ago, he had to go away, and I never saw him again, I passed him off as my imagination. That he was just an illusion, a hallucination of my loneliness here on Berk.

But strange things have been happening lately, people getting hurt from ice and the cold, random freak snowstorms, weird messages made out of ice appearing all around the village, weird voices that people hear, and I keep on feeling like someone's presence is near me, sending chilly shivers down my spine.

And now I'm starting to doubt that Jack Frost was just my imagination.

And he might be back and out to get me and the village.

Oh gods, what am I going to do?
