Maka's House

'KILL ME PLEASE' everyone thought simultaneously as Master Kamahi insisted that Soul, Tsubaki, Liz, Patty, Crona, Kidd, and BlackStar do the extremely difficult exercise once again. They were beyond beat and Master said that this was barely the warm up. They quickly began to fear for their lives and souls. He was a monster and Maka seemed to be no different than him.

They were currently training behind Maka's home since there were large fields they could use and possibly destroy. Large cherry blossom trees made a ring in a small field and the group was currently bent down in the middle as they tried to catch their breath. The soft grass served as nice ground as they lay down and stared at the sky. The clouds were breathtaking as well. Small little clumps floated in the sky and were blown softly across with the wind. The air was crisp, clean and helped soothe their sprinting hearts.

Soul slowly sat up and turned to watch Maka as she began her own training. He winced when he saw how intense her own training was, but stared in awe as she didn't even break a sweat yet.

"She's a monster! How can she do all of that without even breaking a sweat yet?!" Tsubaki gasped as she sat up to get a closer look at Maka training.

"I seriously think," Kidd paused to drink some water from his cup, "That her training shouldn't even be recommended to humans. I mean look at her! What person can do that many push-ups in one freaking minute?!"

Tsubaki sighed as Liz finally got a good glimpse at Maka and stared at her with an open mouth, "This is Maka we're talking about. Her determination lets her do a lot of things."

"She already finished her 10 mile run," Soul sweat dropped as he saw Maka jog in place.

"EHHHHH?! But she just started like twenty minutes ago!" Patty gasped as she finally picked herself off the ground.

"Maka is kind of scary now," Crona whimpered.

"HOLY SHIT! MASTER IS COMING BACK!" Liz yelped as she saw the aged man walk towards their tiny group again.

BlackStar yelped as Master picked him up and threw him over his shoulder, "You'll start first since you have more training that these duds."

"Hey!" everyone protested as BlackStar began to comically cry.

"THAT'S WHAT YOU GUYS ARE WORRIED ABOUT?! WHAT ABOUT THE CHANCE I MAY NOT SURVIVE THIS?!" BlackStar screeched as he clawed at Masters back.

"Your funeral will be a grand one BlackStar," Everyone bowed in respect as BlackStar began to freak out even more and began to pound on the Masters back with the force to crush a boulder.

"BASTARDS," BlackStar screeched as Master began to drag him off slowly.

"He will be missed," everyone lowered their head in respect and silently prayed in their minds for a peaceful end to BlackStar's life.

One Hour Later

BlackStar walked back slowly with Master, a dazed and happy look on his face. Master was beaming and silently told him to come back anytime for extra training. Everyone stared in amazement as BlackStar slowly walked to stand in front of them and smile like a crazed man.

"Master is AMAZING, almost as amazing as a god like me!" BlackStar exclaimed as he winked and raised a thumb up, sparkles appearing from nowhere and dazzling in BlackStar's face.

Everyone stared at BlackStar and they all screamed at the same time, "EH?!"

"Now I know why Maka is so powerful! This man is an amazing teacher!" BlackStar yelled as Maka came up behind him and nodded.

"See? There is nothing to be afraid of! Everyone can stop being cry babies and just follow Masters teachings," Maka smiled, "if a blue monkey could do it, why can't you?"

"Yeah," BlackStar cheered on until he caught what Maka said and snapped his head to look at her, "HEY!"

Maka shrugged her arms and placed an innocent look on her face, "I can't lie in front of my Master."

"OH you want to fight huh?" BlackStar cracked his knuckles as Maka inwardly smirked, "Well you got one!"

"Children," Master Kamahi sighed, "Try not to destroy everything."

"NO PROMISES," Maka and BlackStar yelled as they ran to the fields.

"Master," Tsubaki asked calmly, "What did you teach BlackStar?"

Master turned around to face her slowly, "That is a secret my dear, but let us get started with your own training," Master softly grabbed her arm and led her away as she followed.

"So I guess he's training each of us individually," Soul sighed as he realized how long this day would turn out to be.

Several Hours Later

"Kid," Liz sighed in relief as he finally began to walk their way.

"Ah," Master Kamahi sighed as he cracked his back and pointed to Soul, "I believe you are my last victim."

"Victim?" Soul yelped as Master walked forward and grabbed his arm.

"Yes victim," Master smirked as he dragged the unwilling Death Scythe to the same training spot as the others. As soon as they arrived, he dropped Soul unceremoniously onto the ground and sat down in front of him.

Soul sat up quickly and cautiously stared at the old man in front of him, "Why am I last?"

"You are last because your training will be the most difficult."

"Why?"

"Unlike Crona, the Black Blood in you and Maka does not have a definite form and instead forms a demon in your souls that run rampant. All I truly had to do with Crona was strengthen his control over his Black Blood. For Maka, it was awakening the demon, taming it and learning to control how to use the extra power without lashing out. It sounds simple, but it was a truly delicate situation. You, on the other hand, have a demon you cannot control. I am here today, to teach you to control him."

Soul gaped at the man, "But it's impossible to control my demon!"

"The reason Maka has very nearly surpassed the power of a god is because her demon is unbelievably strong. It contains enough madness to tame that of a Kishin's. Hana's demon is even worse than that," Master looked up to watch Soul's reaction, "If even you can't control a demon as weak as yours, I wonder how you survived those six years without Maka by your side."

"I can survive perfectly well without her," Soul retorted as his pride got the better of him.

"Then show me Soul Eater Evans," Master stared at Soul, "Awaken your demon!"

Soul expanded his soul as he opened up the door to the Black Room and stood once again at the doorway that could lead to his demise. He felt the door close behind him, but heard a faint voice scream out a simple string of words before the door finally closed and the demon stood before him. Soul quietly stood there as he took in the dark room before him once again.

It was always rather simple, dark, and twisted, just as Maka always described him. The walls were painted a deep, menacing black, but the lights somehow gave it a warmer, more comforting feeling. He vaguely wondered if the torches represented Maka's influence on him and the light they brought to his twisted soul. The small record player stood in the corner as did the large chair Soul frequently sat in. The floor was checkered black and red and another door stood on the far left. Soul knew the door would open to his piano, the instrument of his madness.

It was a while before the demon spoke up and Soul took in his appearance as well. The demon had dark red skin, just like the color of blood as it seeped out of an open wound. Big pointy ears stood firmly placed on his head and Soul stared nonchalantly at the sneer the demon sent at him, exposing razor sharp teeth that could easily rip out a throat. His attire as always was very formal, consisting of a black suit that fit him well. Large hands with black claws slowly dragged themselves on the floor and big beady eyes stared at him with resentment.

"You think you can tame me," the demon snarled as he stared incredulously at the young albino in front of him.

Soul lazily placed his right hand in his pocket and transferred his weight to one side, "Of course I can."

"Well then boy," the demon practically growled, "I hope that you will be able to survive this ordeal. Taming me isn't going to happen easily and I won't give in so fast."

'Remember Soul Eater, you can only survive if you fight for the ones you love!'

The thought quickly passed through Soul's mind as he stared at the demon in front of him, "I know that already, but it'll be fun watching you cower in front of me."

"Boy, you should speak with respect to others!" the demon screamed as he threw himself at Soul.

'I will always fight for the ones I love, Maka, Hana.'
