We got out of the water and back on land. Syrena shivered as her tail became a pair of legs. I picked her up and decided to help her.

"I am going to teach you to walk" I said. She looked up and me. She had on my shirt, barley covering her bottom. Her hazel eyes looked in my green ones.

"How do I do that?" She asked me. I slowly let her legs down and still had an arm supporting her under her arms. She stood unevenly, shaking as she tried to balance herself. I took her hand as she became steady.

"What next?" She asked me. I gave her a soft smile.

"Put one foot in front of you" I told her. She put her right foot down in front of her like it was a strange thing for her, which it was.

"Now put the other in front of that one" I said. She picked her left foot up and put it down in front of herself. She grinned up at me.

"Shall we take a walk?" I suggested. Syrena nodded, bubbling about her new talent.

"Thank you Phillip" she said as she watched her feet as we walked along the beach. "Walking is strange, using these feet to put weight on, then the way you move them, it is curious" she said finally looking up at me.

"How so?" I asked her, interested. I did not even remember learning to walk, just that I could.

"That you only use your feet, we use our arms as well as our tail" she mused. I gave a small smile.

"It's also a wonder that you use your arms and tail" I reversed. She looked up at me confused. Then realization became her face.

"You are reversing my words!" She exclaimed. We both laughed and stopped where a ship was waiting, looks like someone came here.

"I guess I have to go back, Syrena" I told her as a man came over to us.

"Sir, you are very far away from home" he exclaimed I nodded.

"Indeed, why have you come?" I asked him as Syrena hid behind me.

"We heard that there might be people here, miss do you need clothing?" He asked, she shook her head.

"No, I stay here, it's my island" she said. The man shrugged and turned to me.

"Are you coming with us back to England?" He asked. I turned to Syrena. She nodded at me and I nodded to the man. I gave Syrena a kiss on the hand and went with the man to the ship.

"Do not forget how to walk, for me!" I yelled to her as we waved at each other and I boarded the ship to go back to England and leave Syrena.

"She's a beauty, sad thing leaving her, eh?" The man said as the boat went off.

"You have no idea" I responded.

so this is my first Pirates of the Caribbean story and I had fun writing it, sorry it's so short.
