AN: You know how I said I'll have it up in a week? I forgot I had finals. :'D

Well, now it's finally up and WAY longer than I wanted it to be. But of well, and don't expect chapters this long. Maybe I'll cut myself some lack, since it is an interlude.

I'm gonna answer some reviews up here so go right ahead and skip them if you'd like. Remember, I don't mind questions so go on and pick my brains!

Lourdes08: Well, there won't be much info on that until after the Lightning Thief Arc, so stay tuned!

Brackenfern: Ah, but which one? (Can you guess?)

DhampyrX2: See, what I've gotten from the books and the originals myths is that the Greeks don't care. Sure they do when it comes to their territories being encroached, but in the end they're going to leave the cleanup to whoever's responsible. I know that the Egyptians and the Greeks have an agreement to not interfere with each other. I envision the Norse and Greeks having the same agreement, however, they understand that they'll clash at some point. They really only interfered because the mortals wanted to know why Percy and Sally could control water and whatnot. If Percy and Sally were never directly involved they wouldn't care. They want to fix their own problems and since there's this "Earth's Mightiest Heroes" group going on they'll leave it to them. (If this doesn't answer your question you can pm me)

Interlude I – My lady Grandmother

I'm not exactly sure how we ended up like this, but my mom had her hand in my grandma's hand while we watched 'Finding Nemo'. Queen Frigga's eyes were glued to the screen, like she's never seen a movie before—

Oh, right.

Yeah…For a moment, I forgot she hadn't been with us all this time.

I mean, neither of my mom's parents had been around, since they….they were gone.

"What the hell is going on?!" I jumped out and jabbed out my hand, like as if I had a blade in it. I was pointing an invisible sword at Tony Stark, who was standing in front of a shocked Stark CEO.

"You gonna stab me with that kid? Don't tell me you know magic." I let my hand drop, a bit embarrassed.

"He does know, but it is only to create a small flame. Eventually, he should be able to do illusions and things of such." My grandmother tore her eyes from the screen to shoot Iron Man a wry smile. Her hand moved and then there was another of me, grinning up at Iron Man.

"Holy—!"

"Tony!" Ms. Potts gasped and pinched his arm, which probably wasn't a good idea since he let out a long curse word. Mom wasn't paying attention, and neither was grandmother.

Yeah, today was definitely a great day, even if I did have school tomorrow. I mean, I thought this wasn't going to end well but hey, these things happen.

[1 week ago, a week before the Winter Solstice]

I was walking home from school after a pretty rough day in school. I was thinking about winter break and no homework and all of the awesome things when I saw a really tall lady in some sort of cloak that had fur lining it.

She was standing right in front of my door, and from where I was standing, I think she was trying to burn a hole in my door.

I wasn't sure how to say "Please scary lady, don't kill my door," but all I could say was "um" and at that point I heard footsteps.

"Perseus." I turned just as she started to move her head and out of the corner of my eye I saw her reach for the sword hidden behind her cloak.

But I was staring at the person who said my name, one I last saw more than six months ago.

"Your hair is really long." I blurted out, and I felt kinda dumb. (Because it really wasn't that long)

Uncle—Prince Thor smiled softly at me and reached out a hand towards me.

I tensed, not sure what he was going to do but all he did was place a heavy hand on my shoulder. I hope he didn't notice that I kind of flinched.

"It is good to see you nephew." He voice was rough with something, and I didn't want to look him in the eyes. It sounded like he wanted to cry but also he was way too tall.

"Hi…um…" I made the mistake of looking over to the lady who now faced me. Her eyes were staring me down and I instantly knew what she was thinking.

'Son of Loki' Yeah, everyone who knows thinks that. (Except for Grandpa because I am his mortal legacy.)

Prince Thor quickly understood and went to stand between us. I hope he did it to protect me from her 'cause all I had was a celestial bronze dagger and she had a long sword.

"Perseus this is the Lady Sif, one of my father's generals. Sif, you already have heard of my nephew." Oh yeah, great. That's what I needed, another pantheon of gods talking about me.

She blinked and made a weird movement with her body, before nodding at me. I nodded back, unsure if I had to bow or whatnot. It was silent for a moment, Uncle—Prince Thor at a loss since we were all just standing there looking at each other.

Then I remembered, 'Hey, they probably want to talk to mom' so I lifted my hand and motioned towards my door.

"Um, do you want to come in?" Both of their faces filled with relief so I awkwardly shuffled to my door and unlocked the door. I tried to let them go in first but they kept motioning for me to go through so I did and dropped my bag on one of the chairs.

"Why do you carry a bag, nephew?" He sounded so confused and now I realized that in Asgard they probably don't force kids to go to school.

"Um, I just got back from school." Okay, the faces they made were so weird. Lady Sif looked like someone put poop under her nose and Prince Thor seemed worried. He opened his mouth, closed it, twitched his fingers and gave Lady Sif and strange look. Then he turned back to face me.

"Do…you like learning? Do you enjoy going to school?" I couldn't help but cringe. Yeah, maybe I'm not a full…true demigod but heck, I still have ADHD and dyslexia. It's not as bad as my great-grandfather and my grandpa but there's a reason why my mom has difficulties finding a school to properly help me.

I mean, my mom has it too, but she's grown use to it and it looks really helpful when it comes to destroying the odd monsters that think she's easy to pick off.

"Uh, no, it's actually hard for me. It's hard for demigods—" I closed my mouth quickly, and just gave them a freaked-out look. But Prince Thor and Lady Sif nodded along, though she seemed concerned on why I stopped talking. So I changed the topic.

"Uh, would you like to take a seat? I'm guessing you're here to talk to mom, and she's at work so anything to drink?" Yup, grade-A conversation maker right here. I said all of that in a rush, and afterwards my face heated up pretty fast. But I guess they understood that I was just a twelve-year old who didn't know how to talk to gods. They sat down on the couch and Prince Thor looked at me expectantly.

"Would you happen to have coffee?" I scrunched up my eyebrows but hey I don't judge. I looked at Lady Sif.

"I shall…have whatever Thor is having." She sounded so confused.

"Alright, let me turn on the coffeemaker, and um…" I fled to the kitchen and grabbed a gallon of milk and the sugar can. I poured some milk (I didn't want to bring out my mom's creamer and hey, milk works too) into a jug and brought out two spoons. Thankfully my mom's coffee table was clean so I put that there.

"Um…I don't know how long mom will be, since she works. At an aquarium. So um—" Why, why did I start to panic? All I was trying to do is tell Prince Thor and Lady Sif what was in each container. I just stabbed by finger at the containers, ignoring their stares. That is, if they were staring at me.

"Milk and sugar, in case—" Thank the gods for the coffee machine. It beeped and I was able to make a mumbled excuse before running to the kitchen.

Just as I handed them mugs I heard the door unlock and my mom walk in with her uniform slightly wet. She probably was working in the penguin area again; they like to try and hug her. A lot.

"Percy—!" At first she was Prince Thor and her mouth snapped close. Yeah, mom didn't like uncle, and it's not because of dad.

(She's afraid that he can use dad to take me away from her.)

But then her eyes moved to Lady Sif and mom's face got super confused really fast.

"What…sorry, I don't want to be rude, but what is going on?" Prince Thor stood up, with the coffee cup still in his hand.

"Dear sister…"

(I'm not sure why he calls mom that, it's not like she married dad…)

"I have come to ask you to accept a request from the All-Mother of Asgard. She wishes to come and see you and my nephew with her own eyes."

Oh.

Wait…

"The All-Mother?" I had to interrupt the adult conversation, didn't I? I could have gone to my room and no one would have noticed but now they're all looking at me and it's too late.

But my uncle just smiled (darn it I'm really letting it slip in) and nodded.

"Yes, the All-Mother, Queen of Asgard. My mother and therefore, your grandmother."

I'm not gonna bore you with the rest, not that it's boring. Actually, it ended up with my uncle and Lady Sif persuading my mom that all that my grandmother wanted to do was meet me.

Honestly, I was excited. Yeah, it was my grandmother but it was god royalty. I've never been to Olympus and it seems like I won't be going anytime soon.

Uncle Thor (Yeah I'm calling him uncle in my head now but I'm still pretty formal to his face) and Lady Sif said they would wait for us at the Stark Tower. That was the only place with a launching pad and according to Lady Sif, "Appropriate to host the Queen of Asgard." But she stopped and put a comforting hand on mom and said:

"Do not think that I do not admire you, Lady Sally. You are a warrior who has fought the rules of man and are raising a male as well." With that, both uncle and Lady Sif left. Mom stood there, her mouth closed and it looked like she didn't know whether to laugh or just sit down and think about what just happened.

No wait, that's what mom did. Both of those things.

"Per—Pfft, Percy, go take a shower, a quick one." Mom finally finished laughing and she was trying to pick out our clothes. Last time I checked, we didn't have anything with furs or whatever was appropriate to meet with a queen from the myths.

But then I realized it was five o'clock and we were standing in front of Stark Tower. Mom smiled at me, I guess trying to make me feel better, and walked in.

What we saw was something we were not expecting.

Tony Stark (you know, Iron Man) and the boss of Stark Industries, Pepper Potts, were in the lobby. Then Iron Man spotted us and he grinned, and spread out his arms as if he wanted us to run into them.

"The Jacksons are finally here! Hello, Ms. Jackson, beautiful as always." Mom glared at him and turned to look at Pepper Potts. Then weirdly (and creepily) both smiled at each other at the same time.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Ms. Jackson." Ms. Potts said as she shook mom's hand eagerly. Mom nodded back with a wide grin.

"No, it's an honor to meet you." I heard a huge sigh and turned to look at Iron Man who was…pouting?

"Seriously, I cannot catch a break. Hey mini-Loki—woah." He put his hands on my shoulders and made me face him. Then he moved his sunglasses so he can, I don't know, analyze me?

"It's really creepy how you look like your mom and Loki at the same time. Got anything for showing off?"

"Uh…no?" Well, it's always nice to know that I can look creepy.

"Thank you, Mr. Stark. As a mother, I love it when strange men tell me my child looks freaky."

"You're very welcome, and can I ask why you and Pepper seem so familiar with each other? Anything I should—" Both sent him a bone-chilling glare.

Like seriously, no Mom. You're scaring all of us.

"Anyways, I believe Thor's mother is due to arrive anytime. Shall we go up?"

The elevator ride was awkward, 'cause it consisted on Iron Man making comments that I should not be hearing. Damn it (thank the gods I said this in my head) Tony Stark, I'm twelve, please, I don't want to hear that.

And thank the gods; we finally arrived to the top floor. And when the doors opened, I was stunned.

There were about five ladies standing behind the most royal-est lady I had ever seen. I mean, I've never met my Olympian uncles and aunts, but mom gave me a good idea of what they might look like.

"Oh." The queen of Asgard had been talking to uncle and turned when the elevator's 'ding' went off. Immediately her eyes looked to mom and then jumped to me. She let out a small gasp and pushed her hand against her mouth.

Ah crap, was she crying?

At that point mom wrapped her right hand around my own and I looked up, surprised. Then I understood why. She was nervous to be before a god (well goddess but you get what I meant) and well, in some sort of weird way, her mother-in-law.

Then the queen said the names of two of her ladies and they floated (well that's what it looked like okay?) away to get something. She then grabbed her skirts and tugged them up and rushed at us.

Then we were both being hugged, tightly. After what felt like eternity, the queen pulled away and grasped at our hands and pulled us towards what looked like a sofa that got dipped in gold. Uncle Thor and Lady Sif stood close by and my uncle never looked so happy. He shot us a wide grin and I couldn't help but smile back. I'm pretty sure it was a stupid-looking one but his eyes watered but he never stopped smiling.

"You are Perseus, are you not?" Her voice was gentle but strong and commanding.

Perfect for a queen.

"Yes, your majesty." I barely mumbled it out. Her hands cupped my face.

"No, I am your grandmother. I would…I would like it if you called me that." Something was stuck in my throat and my eyes and cheeks felt hot. I knew I was nodding and she just kept looking at me, not wanting to pull her eyes away but she did.

She turned to mom and straightened up a bit and her hands moved from my cheeks to mom's hands.

"You are a princess, are you not?" Mom blushed. What the heck is going on?

"Not…exactly." No wait, she's embarrassed. Yeah, I remember, the nymph messengers grandpa sends always say something like 'little princess' 'cause well, grandpa calls her his little princess. Man I'd be embarrassed too if grandpa called me his 'little prince' or something. That'd be too weird.

But the queen—grandmother just smiled, and patted mom's hand.

"In a way you are, as you are Loki's wife." Mom froze and her eyebrows furrowed. She opened her mouth to say something but I saw Uncle Thor and Lady Sif waving their hands and making 'Stop, STOP!' motions.

Mom just smiled weakly and threw those two a glare when grandmother turned back to me. I don't know what else happened between the three of them because then grandma asked to see my hands.

"Do not worry; I have a feeling that you have undiscovered talents." As long as it doesn't mean I'll destroy New York I'm okay with new powers.

Her hands made mine open up with palms facing the ceiling. She then started to trace or write something on my hand. Not even a second later a blue-green beam shot up.

From the center of my hand.

No one really reacted except for uncle and Lady Sif, who gave each other a look. Grandmother just smiled, looking very satisfied.

"What just happened? I mean, did I actually do that?" I was hoping I didn't sound rude, 'cause I don't know if she'd pull my ear or whatever grandmothers did to bad grandkids.

"Not exactly. I checked to see if you had the ability to learn magic." Suddenly I felt amazing. Maybe I could use magic to help me with homework.

"However, it will be hard to learn." Okay, never mind.

"But I can teach you to do some basic things if you would like, Perseus." I smiled at her.

"You can call me Percy, grandmother."

See, that's how we ended up on the couch telling her of our lives, but never mentioning the Greek parts. She understood why (do the Gods send each other messages like "None of your business"?) and asked us to tell her anything about ourselves.

Somehow that lead to watching a movie and by the end of the visit she and mom were hugging and hugging me and even her ladies were hugging us.

For all of the things we went through last summer, I think this was the best result.

"Bye, uncle." I acted on an impulse and gave Uncle Thor a hug. I probably wasn't supposed to hear anything but I think his voice hitched and then he was giving me a huge, bear hug.

"Good-bye, nephew."

AN: I'm really starting to like the idea of Thor and Percy getting along. If you think about it, they could relate to each other a lot. I was thinking of starting something with those two as the main chars but I gotta finish up with 2 stories at least by the end of the year before doing anything new.

Like always, you can ask me questions at my tumblr, haveatacopie.

ALSO, IMPORTANT.

After this starts The Lightning Thief Arc, which will be 3-4 chapters. After that will be about Thor: The Dark World so there will be spoilers.
