Elizabeth woke up, her body covered in a fine layer of cold sweat. She was dreaming about Warren again, so often he would haunt her dreams leaving her feeling raw and empty. Warren was Betsy's love, her soul mate helping each other through dark times. They had planned the perfect future together, eventually they would retire from the X-Force and X-men and get married leaving that life behind them to start a new life together a happy life.

She glanced at the digital clock by her bed: 03:23 Am. Rubbing both hands down her face she kicked the cover off of her body, stepping onto the cold hard floor, she pulled on her robe and headed towards her en suite bathroom. Flicking on the light she let her eyes adjust to the harsh light of the bathroom. As she glanced in the mirror she noticed the tears staining her cheeks "what are you doing to me Warren?" She said out loud "I miss you so much"

Turning on the shower she shed her robe and stepped into the refreshing flow of the near scalding water. Those dreams always affected her badly. She placed both her hands on the cool tiles in front of her and hung her head letting the water cascade down her back. The flashbacks were starting, scenes from a life long over flashed before her eyes. Please…Betsy…..help me. I'm all broken and he's going to take me….erase me!…..the wings are under my control…..why are you trying to kill me?….It takes it's toll" "I sat for days searching for the last time I felt human, the last time I felt anything real. Only you came to mind" Betsy's hands balled into fists against the wall, she knew she should try and suppress those memories. She blamed herself for what happened. It was her who erased Warren from existence. She was the one who delivered the final blow with the life seed. In doing so she "reset" archangel and killed Warren. To rub salt on her already pained wounds Warrens body was still living, an empty shell in his form. Rachel Summers and Hank McCoy had conducted several tests that only confirmed that Warren had indeed been wiped from existence residing now within her dreams.

Wrapping a towel around her body she heads back through to her room pulling back the covers she gets ready to crawl beneath the sheets when the familiar beeping of her phone echoed around the apartment…
