Ending

This was it, the war. It was finally here. He had been an active part of the rebellion ever since his fifth year. And when, it was known that Harry, Ron and Hermione wouldn't be joining them for their last year – he had made sure that their absence in Hogwarts wouldn't mean that Hogwarts was no more a place for rebellion. He became their leader; he led them from front, and made them believe that it wasn't over.

It was never over.

Voldemort had taken over many places, people, fixed his spies in their school, and changed all the rules. But, that didn't mean he had won. As long on Harry was alive, as long as their hopes were alive, as long as their spirits were in the right places, the war was alive.

He had led Dumbledore's Army when things seemed to crumble.

He had written violent messages, and formed the resistance.

He had tolerated their wrath, only to be a hope for people who couldn't.

And now, it was finally here. All those years of vengeance was going to be reaped. He was going to fight; he was going to make sure that their future would be different.

No more fear… No more Death Eaters… No more Voldemort.

He didn't know if he would survive the war, if he would be alive to see the change – the good or the bad. But, he did know one thing. He wasn't going to be easy. He was going to kill as many people from the other side as possible. He was going to avenge his pain. It was his promise, a leader's promise.

AN: I have been wanting to write about Neville from a long time, and now I have. Wanted to include Luna too, but you know how characters can just drift away. Neville was in the fighting mode. :P
