Chapter three

Author notes: Hey guys! This is it. The last chapter of "Adam returns." Hope you guys like it.

"Carlos!" He heard a female voice call out. He turn his head to find Cassie running towards him. She had a concern look on her face.

"Cassie…"He began.

"I been looking everywhere for you. It took you a long time to come back. I thought I should check on you to see if everything is okay."

Closing his eyes, trying to subside his pent up anger, he replies, "I'm fine. I just need some air." He turn towards the pond and Cassie places his hand on her shoulder. I just had to get out of there."

"Did you ran into Adam?" She asked. Carlos nod his head.

"Yeah. He surprised me when he walked up on me. He claims that he wanted to check up on me to see if I was okay… it was hard talking to him."

"Oh..."Cassie replies,embracing him with a hug. "If only I was here…but whatever the distrute was, it was between you two."

"Yeah." Carlos replies looking down at the ground.

"It's funny,'' Cassie begin as she release him.

"What is," Carlos replies.

"Adam said that he to go to work on a couple of things. Last minute."

"That was his way to leave to check up on me." Carlos replies. "I know, he used the same excuse before." He made a side smile.

Cassie smiled. "Come on, let's go back inside. Whenever you're ready to talk about it. I'm all ears."

Carlos smile at Cassie comment and replied, "Okay. Let's go." He was thankful to have Cassie there to support him during this time. He felt so they left, Carlos didn't know that Adam was close by watching as the two made inside the café. He ran his finger through his head before he walks away from the scene.

"Well, that was a nice visit." Ashley replied as she and the other return onto the ship.

"Yeah, it was. Nice guy." Andros replied as he sat down in one of the command chairs.

"Such a shame he had something to do," Tj replied. "At least we had some milk shakes. Hopefully when he has more time, we would hang out together again."

"Yeah," Ashley replied turning to Carlos and Cassie. "As for you too.''

"Oh Ashley," Cassie began groaning. "Don't start." Ashely pointed her finger at her.

"Next time Adam joins us, don't come up with any excuses."

With her response, Cassie huffed and walked off covering her eyes as Ashley walked behind her chatting away. Carlos followed suit.

Later that day, Carlos was laying down on his bed thinking about what happened earlier. The comfortatation with Adam by the pond. Carlos was puzzled, at the same time, angry and fill with emotion. The things that Adam said, what had happen after they last spoke, and what worse, Adam is moving back to Angel Grove. He had a brief thought if the others knew or was he the first to know the news. Like he gives a shit! He was pissed. How dare Adam would walk up to him with that kind of information as a way to let him off the hook. Carlos may have some weakness, some that Adam knows all about. There was one place that Adam was referring to. Before the conflict between them, Adam had took Carlos to his grandfather Lee's cabin for thier dates. He could hear Adams raisng from the couch. "I'm coming!" He could hear Adam called out. Carlos braced himself as the door open. Adam eyes wided slightly as he stared into Carlos' expression. A look of somewhat shock and surprise. Adam was the first to speak.

"Carlos..."He paused.

"Adam..."Carlos replied back.

"You came," was his reply.

"Can I get you anything to drink?"

"A beer would be fine." Carlos replied with a slight smile.

"Coming right up," Adam replied as he made his way to the kitchen. Carlos took a seat on the couch. Everything still looks the same...well almost. He could tell that Adam had not finsh unpacking yet. There were boxes on the floor. Books, old photos, and clothes. His thoughts were interruppted when Adam walked back from the kitchen with two bottles of beer.

"Here you go," he replies, sitting down next to Carlos handing him a beer.

"Thanks," Carlos replies with a smile. "He looks down at the bottle. Bud Light...you remebered."

"Yes, I did. "Adam replied with a smile."I could never forget that." He took a sip of his beer before looking at Carlos. He was glazing into the beer bottle before he placed it down on the table. That made him a little nervous.

"Are you okay?" He finally ask him.

Carlos blink his eyes before turning to Adam "What?" He asked.

"You didn't open your beer." Adam repled. Carlos' eyes follow the beer bottle at the table.
